I knew it! Well had a strong feeling anyways that Bridge was telling the truth, it seems every universe etc has their own...I don't want to say Isis style militants but anarchists might fit better here. Hopefully justice is done.
Author's Response:
Interesting parallel. I'm not sure I'd quite call the Betas anarchists, since they do believe there should be structure, but Nathaniel is definitely unhappy with the one in place now. Thanks for reading!

Kind of embarrassed I didn’t figure it out sooner. Kept coming up with more elaborate ways she could have been framed without coming to the obvious. I just couldn’t come up with a reason why betas would hurt themselves like that but this definitely went a long way toward explaining things (including the title of the story.)
Author's Response:
It definitely takes very firm belief in a cause to do what these Betas did to themselves. And this chapter was certainly meant to finally define the title, in more ways than one.

Damn, Nathaniel is a bitter one. Ending with a veiled order to commit suicide by overdose topped it off nicely.
Author's Response:
Thanks for reading/reviewing!

Damn, so the truth is finally revealed to us, the audience. Now we KNOW she didn't do it. So now we are in the grueling process of hoping that the truth comes out for Aigis to see before it's too late!
Author's Response:
It is indeed. And there are just 5 chapters left, so things are coming to a head soon.

Knew it, evil Betas working some revenge plan. This universe makes my blood boil.
Author's Response:
Well, that was certainly the intent!

So its all swept under the rug. I gotcha. *winks*

@Nostory no one is inmune to verbal agression. I would be happy just with that. I know Bridget has her reasons, and she can help but believe what its at sight, but she should think that her best friend, her adopted sister, wouldnt lie, at least after that much damage. When people dont break at so much pressure and torture, they usually are innocent or dont know anything.
Author's Response:
Right-on with the verbal aggression. You're correct that Bridget is going to have to confront things soon based on the fact that Lexi still hasn't caved despite all the torment. The story is starting to build to a head here.

@Naoru : I may have been confused by this sentence :
" his was just the price she promised herself she would pay in favor of abandoning her principles, and she was paying it in full."
I thought the principles she was abandoning were sticking to the truth instead of caving. Then, the next few sentences could be taken as Lexi mentally breaking, taking the lie as her new truth and rolling with it.
Now that you mention it, I'm probably wrong, that would be too dark, even for this story. :P
Author's Response:
I recognize it's a semi-clunkily worded sentence. It's meant to read that Lexi refuses to lie, even if it would ease her physical pains, because it's so important to her.

Loved this chapter! Hope you continue soon!
Author's Response:
Thanks! And I will.

Love the last sentence from Alexandra here! She must be so peeved! Great writing by the way and I'm looking forward to reading on!
Author's Response:
"Peeved" is a definite understatement, hehe. Glad you're enjoying it!

@Naoru, in this universe that would be impossible. The Omegas are the apex species, immune to harm from Alpahs or Betas.
Author's Response:
True, it would be impossible to physically harm an Omega, but with how deep that empathy runs, finding out that they had made a mistake would probably cut deeper than anything.

@NightEye no, no, nooo where did you got that?at the end she says that she thinked on doing so, but that no one can take her trut away. She wont lie.
This was chilling to the bone. Im going to be very distresed until I can read next chapter.Wicked side of me wants Lexie to get back at Bridget when everything is solved.
Author's Response:
You're right, she's not going to lie. Glad I could cause some distress. And I guess we'll just have to wait and see on Lexi getting back, won't we?

Great chapter
Author's Response:
Thanks man

Oooooooh ! That chapter made my chest burn ! Very well written sir.
So Lexi is going to lie and pretend she did all those things ? Somehow, I don't think that's gonna make Bridget go easier on her, on the contrary...
Author's Response:
Thanks very much! Lexi's not necessarily going to lie, because keeping to her principles on the truth is all she has left, but it's certainly something she's considering.
Date: September 18 2014 2:03 PM Title: Disorientation
Are they ever going to learn the truth? I'm enjoying this as a stand-alone, but it's getting rather boring to just wait every chapter.
Author's Response:
I guess we'll just have to see.

Very powerful chapter. I honestly can't see how things can ever be the same between these two.(unless that was your intent) Things will certainly be throw asunder if/when the poor beta girl awakens from her coma.
Aaron
PS in this universe are their any cases of Omegas using their size like the alphas use it against the betas? Or just the omegas acting superior towards smaller sized races?
Author's Response:
It's no spoiler to say things won't exactly be the same by the end, regardless of who knows the truth. And that's a good guess about the beta girl.
There are no such cases with Omegas using their size intentionally for harm. They're all about trying to keep things equal and peaceful.

This is destroying both of them.
Author's Response:
Preeetty much...
Date: September 18 2014 11:17 AM Title: Cold
Wow, as expected this chapter makes my guts churn. Im not sure Lexi is gonna come out of this a sane person, I would say that most people would even lie just to make the situation easier on themselves...
Author's Response:
Probably a fair assumption that she might try that. There are still complications to come (some in the next chapter, even) that may offer some hope...
Date: September 18 2014 9:54 AM Title: Cold
Hang in there Lexi, those immortal motherfuckers won't break you.
Author's Response:
She's trying!

Ooh! Scandalous!
I see a mystery brewing here, and I getting very intrigued by Lexi's past. I think a ghost from her past has come back to haunt her. It's a good read.
Author's Response:
Thanks very much for reading. A ghost from her past is indeed on the haunt.
