Kind of embarrassed I didn’t figure it out sooner. Kept coming up with more elaborate ways she could have been framed without coming to the obvious. I just couldn’t come up with a reason why betas would hurt themselves like that but this definitely went a long way toward explaining things (including the title of the story.)

Damn, so the truth is finally revealed to us, the audience. Now we KNOW she didn't do it. So now we are in the grueling process of hoping that the truth comes out for Aigis to see before it's too late!

So its all swept under the rug. I gotcha. *winks*

@Naoru : I may have been confused by this sentence :

" his was just the price she promised herself she would pay in favor of abandoning her principles, and she was paying it in full."

I thought the principles she was abandoning were sticking to the truth instead of caving. Then, the next few sentences could be taken as Lexi mentally breaking, taking the lie as her new truth and rolling with it.

Now that you mention it, I'm probably wrong, that would be too dark, even for this story. :P

Love the last sentence from Alexandra here! She must be so peeved! Great writing by the way and I'm looking forward to reading on!

Very powerful chapter. I honestly can't see how things can ever be the same between these two.(unless that was your intent) Things will certainly be throw asunder if/when the poor beta girl awakens from her coma.

PS in this universe are their any cases of Omegas using their size like the alphas use it against the betas? Or just the omegas acting superior towards smaller sized races?

Wow, as expected this chapter makes my guts churn. Im not sure Lexi is gonna come out of this a sane person, I would say that most people would even lie just to make the situation easier on themselves...

I see a mystery brewing here, and I getting very intrigued by Lexi's past. I think a ghost from her past has come back to haunt her. It's a good read.
