I am sorry to have now reviewed this at a sooner date, as I have just found it through your "Omega" stories, however, it is a very exciting premise, and I am only sad there is not more of it to see! I love fantasy settings when they are shown well and you have most certainly accomplished that here! Please don't let this one chapter just sit alone forever?

Somehow I missed you post this which is a shame because I love fantasy stories. The twists on the names are amusing as well as Marion seeming to be a good guy ( if any of these people are good guys considering we only just met them.) It will be fun to see how these characters differ or resemble there other universe counterparts.
So why can't men used magic? Is it a genetic thing or are men just stupid? Maybe the patron goddess of magic was betrayed by the man she loved who used the magic power she gifted him with against her. In her hurt and betrayal she took back the ability for men to use a power they could not be trusted with.,,,or maybe it's just a genetic thing.?

This sentence:
"I’m not going to be able to pick you up for much longer"
Likely means that Clare will grow at some point (though perhaps not quite as large as her mother).
I like this story. I’m a fan of magic, its exclusivity to women, and the gender-based social tensions that result.
As for the inspiration, I have to thank you for that as well. Melody and Ashley’s relationship in particular inspired Splinter’s Edge: Wrestling Match. Not sure if that is the 'alternate world' you were referring to (I suppose it would be ironic if it was), but I think it's cool when authors can derive inspiration from each other.

We'll have to see on that I suppose~
Magic has always interested me in fiction. It is such an immense equalizer when both men and women have access to it (assuming we're talking about a capable author, anyway), and only one gender having access to it makes for some interesting dynamics to me.
And yup, Wrestling Match was indeed the inspiration, and I am overly amused (among other things - it means a lot to know my writing served as an inspiration for such a nice little short story) at how this ended up playing out. Reading really is the best inspiration for writing.

This is really good. And I'd love to read more of this. Always been a big fan of adventure giantess stories. And it has magic to boot. Hopefully we don't have to wait very long for the next installment:)

If I have anything to say about it, you won't :)

Spooky might be starting some sort of a trend here. Are all women in this world giants or is it only queens and princesses that get their giant size? Interesting start, hope to see more.
Author's Response:
We'll see sooner or later :). Thank you for commenting.

Even in a completely new setting you managed to world build quite effectively. Even if it isn't your priority I would like to read more.
Author's Response:
Thanks for the review. I may very well dedicate a little time to this up front - I need a break from humiliation.
