Its interesting that you've introduced other innocent people that have been shrunk. I now have a theory. Maybe the shrinking is genetic? I saw a program on the human brain not too long ago. It showed that a certain area of the brain controls homicidal behavior. They showed a guy with this abnormality, but he was a well respected doctor with no criminal history. Maybe the shrinking affects those that are genetically predisposed to criminal behavior. Good work as always!
Author's Response:
The brain is capable of all such of weird things. Look up cases of people with brain damage. There's one where a guy had a metal rod that flew threw his skull but he totally recovered, but his personality totally changed. He went from responsible to being totally lazy. So who knows. Maybe the brain has some stuff veered towards criminal activity ^^

It's only natural that Rob would prefer Kris over Barbie. As Barbie could only give him a "wooden" performance. ;-)

[Report This]Date: June 11 2014 9:39 AM Title: Game, Set, Match
Kristen's a huge tease, using her power over him to not play fair and win. I love her already.
Author's Response:
Ha. She is pretty great. Glad you like her

[Report This]Date: June 11 2014 8:28 AM Title: Game, Set, Match
You shouldn't have called her "five," dude. Women are way more willing to embrace their inner child than men. And, that's a fact, Jack!
Author's Response:
He just never learns does he? *Shakes head*

Only 5 or 6 more chapters? That's no fun. These characters are amazingly well writen and it seems way to soon to say good bye to them. As for being mean about keeping the title character a secret and keeping us guessing, I don't think it's mean at all. It's one of the big hooks of the story. It's fun to be kept guessing. Especialy when the characters feel so real and the world they inhabit is so expertly crafted for the reader. I should add that you are doing an awesome job at keeping the fear alive. The fear of what will happen when rob receives his placement and is taken away from his best friends. Should he end up with a stranger, I can't imagine anyone taking as good a care of him as his friends do. Primarily because all they would see is his size and figure he must be an aweful human being.
Can't wait for the next chapter! (Even if it does bring us closer to the end)
Author's Response:
There's always the possibility they can come up again later ^^
But as far as Rob goes, at least in this portion of his life, it's nearing the end. Though if I'm being honest five chapters is probably not happening haha. At a minimum six. Probably more.

Ah, yes! American pop culture. You never know when one person's random trivia will become another's vitally needed info!
Now, when I was growing up, if anybody in my hometown was asked who the Big Four were, we'd correctly reply: "ABC, NBC, CBS, and WNEW-TV (Channel 5, NYC)."
Author's Response:
He may not be able to do much but he still has his random facts!

Masterfully poignant!

[Report This]Date: June 01 2014 4:10 PM Title: Kari Days
That was good deductive reasoning on Rob's part. Indeed, I even agreed with his self-imposed restriction on not overly interrogating Kari, concerning whether or not there had been some well-intentioned conspiracy during the first few days of his shrinkage!
Never ask questions to which you might hate the answers.

Off to Kristen? ;D
Hope I'm not making it too apparent I'm looking forward to her most out of the three. ;<
Author's Response:
She's been a little underused thus far. She needs her time in the spotlight ^^

Nice! Who knows? Maybe the two of them will rekindle the old flames in a new kind of fireplace.*
*Sorry! I suck at coining metaphors.

Really enjoying this story. Check for updates every time I'm on.

Wait. So is that the answer then? Is Kari the best friend?
I feel like this story is the giantess version of "How I Met Your Mother". Really enjoyable, but stringing us along for eight seasons to answer the simplest question ever.
Author's Response:
I wouldn't be lying if I said I'm enjoying screwing with people a bit ^^

Interesting, can't wait to see what happends next.

[Report This]Date: May 26 2014 2:47 PM Title: This is My Story
Another bad thing about the end of his relationship is that he'll probably never have any kind of relationship like that again. The closest thing to sex he'll get is being used by his new master. And hooking up with someone closer to his own size is out, since according to the rules of this world, that person would be depraved and untrustworthy, That is unless another mistake is made like with him.
I feel for the guy. Its one blow after another as his life is being taken apart one relationship at a time. I might be looking for hope where there is none, since his final destination will probably be with a complete stranger who will believe that he's the worst kind of person. But I still hope that he can find some kind of happiness in this pile of crap that his life is becoming.

The title of this chapter fist prefectly because man do I feel bad for Rob, first he gets kicked out of the house by his mother, and now he gets dumped by his girlfriend. Can it get any worse for him?

[Report This]Date: May 26 2014 10:09 AM Title: This Day Just Keeps Getting Better
He may calm down, Rob's Mom. But, he'll NEVER understand. And he'll ALWAYS think of it as having been kicked out. I know I would! But, then, I'm part Italian. And we part-Italians can hold on to grudges tighter than a pit-bull terrier with a T-bone steak.

[Report This]Date: May 25 2014 9:06 PM Title: This is My Story
Its gotta take a lot of effort not to off yourself when your THAT tiny and your life is going to shit without any way for you to stop it...And his own mother too. I can't say I blame her, but I also wouldn't blame him for holding a grudge.
I've had my moments of weakness where I thought about these sorts of things and my life was NOWHERE near as bad as Rob's. I can only imagine how long I woulda held together if I were in his position.
My only complaint is that I kinda don't see why his mother was taken out of the babysitting cycle. Kari almost killed him before too so in all honesty, I don't see how his mother couldn't be one of the caretakers. Unless it's just his mother not wanting him to burden her life anymore, which kind of makes this more sad.
I think you need to address that because I'm kind of confused how a bunch of girls are more qualified to take care of Rob than his own mother. Anyway, it's depressing but I really do like this story.

Glad to see you're continuing with this story. I'm suprised to see Kari volunteering to take care of him. I'd assumed she was trying to find a "nice" way of breaking up with him. I'm still anxious to see which of his friends he'll belong to. With his incredibly small size, I would imagine the prospective "owner" would need some measure of training in handling people that (as his mother demonstrates in her poor handling).

Glad you're adding chapters again, I've missed this story.
I didnt expect Kari to show up so soon again, not before Kristen at least. Looking forward to the next one. ;o
Author's Response:
Truth be told I may have swapped out Kristen and Kari's plot points a little lol. Originally the next few were on Kristen but it seemed more natural to go with Kari. Of course the stuff I planned with Kristen is still gonna happen. Things are just a little rearranged

[Report This]Date: May 22 2014 4:11 PM Title: Found
I have to feel a bit more contempt than pity for Rob's mother. Whether or not he doesn't "think of it like that," kicking him out is precisely what she's doing! And, while I can intellectually understand why she's doing it ("Only criminals shrink; my son has shrunken; so, he MUST be a criminal; which means, I must disown him"), I can't honestly agree with it. No matter how heart-wrenching her sadness, what she's doing is still hypocritical. And, what hypocrites do is just plain unjustifiable in any way/shape/form.
Author's Response:
Wow, that is a way of looking at it I did not expect lol. I viewed it as an overreaction to nearly killing her son mixed together with longtime stress from several factors. His size must be stressful dealing with not just on an emotional level but on a daily one. I mean, every day she has to be on the lookout to make sure she doesn't accidentally crush him and the one time she's not paying attention she nearly does just that. Of course one of the many reasons would be exactly what you've brought up. She may love her son but all evidence points to something she just has to accept and ultimately deal with.
