The sad part is that Sam and Nick hadn't really left an impact on this universe. So he taught three people that killing buggies is just like killing one of their own and that buggies are every bit as sapient as a giant. In the end that doesn't mean anything, the people would still mercilessly slaughter the buggies. Sure, there will be three less giants doing it, possibly even trying to speak out against the injustice, but chances are they'll just be written off as some of the "crazies" and have their valid points disregarded.

Wow, if Nick is strong enough to kill a giant, why does he use it to save another giant? He wasted all his power on someone that has almost gotten him killed several times! Not to mention all the buggies Annabel kills on a daily basis like they are nothing! I really dont understand his logic...so far he's used his powers to help more giants than tinies his own size.
I suppose it was probably in the heat of the moment, and I mean Annabel IS a little girl, but she's probably been the strongest antagonist this story has had so far, for the buggies of course.
Anyway, I really love this story, Nicks behavior in this chapter sort of baffled me is all.

This story is amazing, I love the universe you've created and love how messed up the giants are with the tinies. They are killed out of boredom, lust, hunger, whatever, it almost begs the question as to how the buggies are not extinct...Im sure that giant humans are FAR from the only predators they have to contend with.
Great story! I hope that poor Nick gets better luck someday soon, or one of these giants is gonna be the end of him.

I like the story so far. Whether Nick and Sam ever get home or not, I'd like to see them trying to find a way for the big people to understand the buggies, let them know that they're smarter then is thought, and/or the ancesteral connection the races have. Many will probably disagree with me as they enjoy the status quo and might even want things to get worse. I don't see this as just another fetish story, but an actual scifi/fantasy story. Opening the way for a change in the lives of the characters or the world in which they live.

you know, I was almost hoping nick was going to die there. Not because i dislike him but because i feel it would have been ironic if this god-like superpowerd guys ends up dying in a young girls stomach next to a boloney sandwich.
