She must be a real dog, not to mind sour grapes in her pavlova. But, actually drool at the thought of it.
Author's Response:
She's just enjoying the Yoop toujours.

Date: October 06 2011 9:13 AM Title: Chapter 32: TOM YUMMY
Where's the rest of the League of Amazing Homunculi when you really need them?
;-)
Author's Response:
Funny that you mention Sir Pix's work. Chapter 50-64 might well appeal to him.
Date: October 06 2011 9:12 AM Title: Chapter 31: SIZE, LIBERTY, AND THE PURSUIT OF BREAKFAST
So much for wise decision-making.

Date: October 06 2011 9:11 AM Title: Chapter 30: YOU CAN'T KEEP A GOOD PAN DOWN
A wise decision, Miss Yoop. Peter deserves a better fate than to be Pan-fried.
Author's Response:
And so continues this Pan-demic of puns.

Confaux-cius say: "Female, she is fickle."

Well you'll find Mrs Grimble very devoted to Jack, even when she encounters the {name suppressed to save surprise} in chapter forty-something.
Date: October 04 2011 11:06 AM Title: Chapter 25: MIKE AND RED JEAN'S TALK
Red Jean? Ah, yes! The alien-possessed giantess who feeds on the fear of the little boys she devours.*
*From the someday-to-be-posted STAR TREK/LOTG crossover, "In The Fold of the She-wolf's Belly" (rated PG-13).
Author's Response:
A gts channel exclusive movie, shown in WIDE JEAN.
Actually her name was a pun on the name of the Red Queen of Looking Glass Land.

Date: October 04 2011 10:58 AM Title: Chapter 23: MRS GRIMBLE'S BANQUET
I remember that photo, too! She almost had the same kind of hairstyle as Lois Lane did, in the 1966 Filmation SUPERMAN cartoons.
Author's Response:
What I couldn't remember was whether they gave her a name. So I veiled my ignorance in pun-like names for Joe and Bill (HB)
Date: October 04 2011 10:56 AM Title: Chapter 22: THE PIE PIPER OF BROBDINGNAG
I hope he makes Mrs. Grimble's stomach grumble.

Which may make him her Minister of INTERNAL Affairs.

Date: October 04 2011 10:47 AM Title: Chapter 17: CARROLL BY CANDLE LIGHT
Tagg always struck me as an English setter/otterhound mix. But, as Tweedledee and Tweedledum might say, "That's neither Here nor There."
Author's Response:
And in time, they quite forgot their PRATTLE.
Date: October 04 2011 10:41 AM Title: Chapter 16: JACK BE GRIMBLE'S. JACK BE SLICK
24 hours after my last review? You can't get much nearer to the future than that! Speaking of which: that was a mighty close call, Jack had. Maybe he should stop "bean" a "stalker."
Author's Response:
if you're amazed by that, I just loaded chapters 28-49.
As for the last pun, bean there, done that.
Date: October 03 2011 4:47 PM Title: Chapter 15: A CLOSE BRUSH WITH A GIANTESS

Author's Response:
Alas, a lass, Alice... You are right, Sir Comicus
Date: October 03 2011 4:44 PM Title: Chapter 14: FOOTPRINTS IN THE LAND

Author's Response:
And he almost ended up on 100% of the platter
Date: October 03 2011 4:42 PM Title: Chapter 13: THROUGH THE LICKING LASS

Date: October 03 2011 12:30 PM Title: Chapter 12: THE GARDEN OF LIVE TOWER
This cliff-hanger reminds me of one of my paternal grandfather's pieces of wisdom.
"Man, born of woman, has but a short time to live. His life filled with trials and tribulations. He springeth up, like a blade of grass. Then, gets cut down...like a horse's ass."
Author's Response:
I think he's paraphrasing the Bible book of Ecclesiastes (which some scholars think was written by Solomon himself under God's guidance), which tells of how short lived and meaningless life is, unless you're involved with God the creator. The book's comments on state of the dead bring me much comfort too. No eternal torment. Just sleeping in the ground until Jesus returns and raises the Christian dead to heaven and the non-Christian dead to annihilation. The false teaching of eternal torment is one of the strongest fuels for the atheist movement.
Of course, I prefer the positive alternative of starting an eternal relationship with Jesus in this life.
Still, having put my sermonette in the story notes, I didn't think I'd be lucky enough to be cued for another in a review. Hope Chapter 13-16 ends this part of the saga on (gts pun coming here) another HIGH note.
Date: October 03 2011 12:24 PM Title: Chapter 11: HIGH JACK
I know what'll happen. His life won't be worth Jack!
Author's Response:
You'd be very surprised, Comic-ssioner (paraphrase narrator of Batman Season 3 episode 1, 1967).
Date: October 03 2011 12:22 PM Title: Chapter 10: SWISH AND SLIPS
She's Hungry Lad? Sounds like a sex-changed member of the Legion of Super Heroes.
Author's Response:
I guess Super Heroes are the only ones who won't make it into this tale. However, you may be pleased to know (or already know), that in 1986, DC put out a 3 issue mini-series called "Captain Carrot and His Amazing Zoo Crew in: The Oz - Wonderland War" which reunited Dorothy with many of L Frank Baum's Oz characters as well as teaming them with the Zoo Crew, Hoppy the Marvel Bunny and loads of Lewis Carroll's characters from the Alice books.
It was both funny and touching, with brilliant art work by Carol Lay.
