You did a beyond belief awesome job with this entire series. You should be proud of how talented you are and for producing such a profound story, one that will be treasured forever by the GTS community. My advice is that after the epilogue, you leave this story be. There is no reason to re-vist things, as you wove a fantastic ending. Anything more would simply be overkill and exploitive, like so many unnecessary Hollywood sequels.
I'm hoping to see you try your hand again at a mother/son foot story, as you did a great job with that one. If you do one, I'd love to see you take it a down an even darker road. Keep up your great work!

you probably know by now I very rarely go down the "dark" road, but I enjoy that particular genre as well, so I may try my hand at it again someday

Honestly, if you really want an "alternate ending" where Carly gets a happy conclusion, you could sort of just pretend like the story ended at Chapter 29 :P thanks for the comment!

I have much enjoyed Jack's mental journey along with his physical journey. It's so complex, you pathologize these characters, it's wonderful.
I'm really hoping you decide to take a stab at what Jack's freedom could be, after being Carly's drawer creature for five years.

Wow, well I'm not surprised how Sophie acted Jack pulled a bit of a 360 towards the end there.
Regardless of what happens I am glad the world got to see Carly in all her glory as she was without a doubt one of the best writen characters I've ever read.

Not the ending I was hoping for but an epic story none the less. I personally think you should have ended it after Carely finally broke Jack, it just seemed the more natural destination as that is what the 5 years were focused on. The ending that you scripted was just a little too hollywood, hero comes bursting through the door and saves the day. But, like said, still an epic story and excellently crafted. You are a very good writer.

a perfectly acceptable critique. i knew i wasn't going to be able to please everyone with the ending i chose. if you really do prefer Jack being totally broken by Carly though, you can just pretend that the story ended with Chapter 29. thanks for reading!

This series is fucking amazing, man. Well done and I cant believe its over! This whole story and series that we've been reading over the past year has been extremely well put together.
Personally, this ALB series if combined into one long story, easily ranks among my top 5 all time favorite stories, which is coming up on almost 10 years that I've been into this fantasy. The way that you've written this story puts you right up there alongside the best, in my book. From how you incorporate character thoughts, to the way you build the intensity of the plot, its just amazing. I've only seen a few other writers who have written stories as well as what you have, ever. So please, do everyone a favor and keep writing, whether you do it professionally or just on the side, dont waste the skills you have.

*claps* Excellent! Muy excellente! An excellent ending that had a little bit of everything, wonderfully detailed. :)
I think my favorite part out of all of this though, was Jack's final confrontation with his fallen sister. He didn't let himself become a merciless brute, he wanted to be better than his sister, and he won that battle. Of course, she definitely had that punch coming. ;)

Uh oh, been 17 days since the last update, has anyone been in contact with Jack? He hasn't even responded to the reviews which is very unusual. Hope this one doesn't get left in limbo, I created an account just to comment on it! If any writer deserves a break it's Jack, the way he generated chapters was ridiculous, just hope this one doesn't fall into the bottomless pit of unfinished stories, it's too good to be left incomplete.
Oh well, if this is the end, I'm just going to pretend the last scene didn't happen, i could live with that ending :D
