Not sure where this is going but if there's a superhero-inspired angle, I'm intrigued. Will definitely keep an eye on it. Good job setting the scene and establishing the characters. I like that Tank, despite being a big hulking dude, has the best vocabulary of the friends.

this can go either way because this only seems like the first part of an opening. as far as i can see there isnt a problem, exept thi is just me but i would have told the back story as a whent along with the actual storie. but never give up on a story no matter wht. your readers will love you for it
