This one was interesting, i was totally ready to hate everyone, but their motives and actions were so genuine that i couldn't help but love them. I absolutely love the build up of suspense around Jenna and how she deals with Ashley.

@Deadrekt I would also love to see another story set in this universe. In particular, a prequel detailing the beginnings of Howard and Abby’s relationship (the events between chapters one and two of Omega: Family) would be amazing to read.

Hope you at some point decide to write another Omega series, This is the best thing I've ever read on this site

Oh my god, the experience reading all the stories in the Omega series is just brilliant. I love the fact that these stories aren't just fetish baits and the amount of effort you and Ackbar have put into the series is simply brilliant. The character development on characters like Bridget and Claire in your other story simply awesome. I just love these characters so much, Bridget, Claire, Jenna, Melody, Lexi all of them. The part I love the most is the relative dynamic of how Omega's are so kind and gentle with the Beta's even though they're technically gods to them. I really really hope you continue with this story or any new Omega spinoff because these are some of the best work anywhere on this site, simply amazing work.
Date: February 25 2024 2:45 PM Title: Omega: Animus I think that a good therapy for both sisters could be a meeting with "that child" again. If we look at the facts, they remained unfinished for Tyler. I mean, Lexi was lucky enough to find a family but Nathaniel wasn't and it was brutally taken from him which led to the events of Inheritance. Always caused by lack of understanding and hatred. I think that if Lexi wants to get her mother off her back and put a tombstone over her image, she has to forgive Nathaniel and vice versa. Maybe it's the only way for that persistent voice, no doubt produced by the hatred and mental nails her mother placed on her in her conversation in Jenna's tank, to go away. It's just my opinion but as Lexi thought trying to correct errors with more errors has not exactly produced the expected results.I think that is approaching the conclusion of this story that has kept us in suspense for more than 8 years. I hope it's not the end of the Omega universe either. I am not such a good writer but I would like this universe not to die, it is very good and gives us a good message. Keep it up Jack.

What does Lexi have to be sorry about?

Wow, what an emotional chapter! Great to finally get back into this story, thanks for writing more!

Gee, why do all these stories get me so emotional. I guess that’s the goal isn’t it. Like, usually there is very little to no kinky stuff at all and yet I’m so incredibly engrossed in every interaction in these stories, and all the horrid circumstances we get characters in.
Like, seeing Lauren stand up to her entire family after they held her down and about murdered her fiancé…freaking trauma man. Glad it had a happy ending. Probably will with most of these stories but there is always a strong hint of bittersweetness that hurts my heart. I just want thing to go well all the time.

I didn’t expect to enjoy this nearly as much as I did. The best ways size played into Lucy’s blindness, the extremely bittersweet return of probably my favorite characters in this universe, and the extremely cathartic way the family was treated. Lucy is truly quite the sight to behold, and I can only imagine how she would be as an omega. I absolutely love her way of doing things. Maybe makes me like Jenna a bit more now.

What a frustratingly good story. I have been a sucker for the falsely accused stories ever since the clone wars did it, but I always feel bittersweet about such stories. They ultimately have a sour end in some way, even if the truth comes out. But the journey of getting there is so emotional because you feel for both sides in it, knowing that manipulation is what brought things there and neither side is really the evil one.
You did a stellar job capturing that here. At first, I hated Bridget a lot. "How can she even do this to her friend?" Then we got her side of the story and you say "well, of course she is doing this." But then as things progress and you learn of some major facts, you can't help but get really upset with Aegis for overlooking the fact that Nathaniel Tyler was the kid of the parents who were eaten by Lexi's mother...like HOW did that get overlooked? How poor was that investigation, that a fact like that was missed?
I think the story became mature with Nathaniel's outburst during his talk with Bridget. Because you realize he was right. The Omegas really do have a savior complex and do not know what is right every single time. They are not gods. Even though many seem to want to be. Of course, there are exceptions to that, but I think their hubris will lead to more conflict in the future entries in this universe.
I doubt I will find any of the following stories in this Omegas universe nearly as compelling as this one, and that is saying a lot with how obsessed I was with Consequences. Quite the remarkable universe Ackbar started and you have really grown here. Can't wait to catch up with it all!

Certainly a chapter full of a lot of tension. God, you could feel the pressure on Lexi as those three looked at her. And then the presence of Alma's ghost in Lexi's mind. It was an exciting chapter, well written. Keep it up, Jack.

Oh wow, this time it's for real. The advanced part of that book is… oh my Kayla. This is getting very serious. Lexi is considering sending her sister to her...? No, it can't be, it's just the nightmare in chapter 2. Although that time in the palette, Bridget did something similar. But if Lexi really does it, it would be I think... the encouragement that Omega would need or what would definitely end their relationship. I like how Bridget compares her sister to a real Enforcer without having passed a course on it. That meeting with Jenna... umm, could it be that she gave her some recommendations :D?. Nah, just kidding. What I mean is that progressively Lexi's thinking is more like that of an Omega.

Lexi is having less problems going through with this then I thought she would. I wonder if comparisons to her mom are gonna start creeping back into her head, even though she seemed to have conquered those demons. There's risk in being too comfortable with the punishment, even though Bridget is functionally impervious.
Still not convinced this is accomplishing anything useful. I hope it either goes off the rails in some way or Bridget has some other, hidden purpose for these sessions.
It's kinda interesting that Lexi comes across like a true believer in the Omega justice system. She really thinks this might work. It makes sense why Omegas would be dogmatic because of the Fire, but Lexi is more surprising.

First of all, this story is incredible! Really makes you think!
Second, I wonder if Bridget will realize the truth of the pain she inflicted on Lexi.
The way I see it, the physical punishments were brutal, but the part that must hurt the most is how quickly Lexi’s family believed in her guilt. They never truly stood up for her. That hurts more than any physical pain, and can’t be made up for with this “eye for an eye” approach.
If anything, I would see Lexi getting more pissed at Bridget for this. Her actions are selfish and ultimately misguided.

Well, it wasn't as big as I supposed would be Bridget's manual. And from what I can see it is only the beginning. I would have liked Lexi to follow Bridget's instruction and go to the advanced part if was only for a moment. I mean... if the columns of Did you know? rom the Beginners area horrified Lexi I imagine she would faint if she read the horrors committed by Alphas that gave rise to these advanced punishments. Well if Lexi can't lean on Evelyn I guess she could trade some experiences with Jenna, you know... Enforcer to Enforcer. The most enthusiastic Enforcer in all of Aegis with the first and only Alpha Enforcer in all of Aegis history. Hahaha it's a joke.
In retrospect considering the manual I would say that Bridget was soft with Lexi not doing more damage than necessary or at least that's what I understood. It was still huge but I guess this last consideration will somehow affect Lexi's determination. Let's see what happens in the session.
Date: November 17 2022 4:23 AM Title: Omega: Animus
Bridget is acting awfully selfish here. Yeah, Lexi said she'd do anything, but this is taking advantage of that in a pretty messed up way. She knows how much it'll hurt Lexi to go through with this. Threatening to let a random Alpha punish her in order to coerce Lexi is beyond the pale.
I feel like Bridget is (unwittingly?) trying to take the easy way out here, which is strange to say about someone who is willing to go through hundreds of odd little torture sessions She's still focusing on what happened between her and Lexi, instead of focusing on why it happened. I hope this plan of hers backfires somehow. I could easily see this leading to Lexi having an emotional breakdown, potentially forcing a conversation where they finally have to tackle the real issue head-on.
Author's Response: It's very reasonable to wonder at this point whether Bridget is doing something right or wrong here, or for the correct reasons. Guess we'll have to see.
