I haven't had time to read much lately, but I saw the description for this one and remembered seeing you say that you loved rich, entitled giants, so I had to give this one a look! That's one of my favorite types of giantesses, too, and I loved the scale you had listed for this as well!
And this didn't disappoint!
You have enough story that this isn't going that this isn't just a pointless giga-rampage story, but the plot isn't so dense that it gets in the way of the size-y fun, either. There's just enough to let these spoiled giants go out and be spoiled giants!
And the tension among them, particularly between Annalise and Maria (the haughty-ass names for these girls are perfect, by the way!) is really compelling. Annalise taking offense to Maria calling the people down below bugs because her birth mom is one of them was a really cool angle to play that you normally don't see in these types of stories. Her birth mom getting her own little kingdom was really cool, too!
But I think my favorite part is how much you were able to distinguish and establish each of the girls' personalities so quickly. Maria wants to be queen of the world, which fits the power-hungry vibes she gave off even before we properly met her. Eleonora really seems indifferent to everything, just accepting it and wondering idly if this is gonna reverse itself or not as she steps on all the tiny things beneath her. The only time we see her get emotional is when Annalise clashes with Maria, taking her sister's side, which was pretty endearing, actually.
Then there's my early favorite, Maya! She's the most entitled brat of them all, and I fucking love it! That "peasants" and "ants" line was great, by the way. But I just loved hearing her talk about how much they deserved this and how "natural" it felt to tower over everyone as she crushed a bunch of buildings just because she could. She's so much fun!
I think you did the best job with Annalise, though (sorry Maya, my dearest!). She's by far the most complex character at this early stage of the story, but I think you nailed it with her. She's still spoiled and entitled, but she's easily the most empathetic of the four, which makes sense, since the narration here is really her providing an account of what happened for all the tinies, something I don't think any of her sisters or stepmother would have ever thought to do, let alone taken the time to actually do it.
But we see shades of that consideration when she starts to watch her step in areas where the houses might be occupied, while the rest of them don't worry about that at all (hot!). And then there was her talking about her angry stomp over that small cluster of buildings. She said she had written excuses for her actions originally but admitted that she did it to feel some degree of control and catharsis. That showed both that she is still thinking about the tinies', as she had an urge to hide her guilt from them, but the fact that she took so many lives just to feel better when her stepmom made her mad is so deliciously petty and entitled at the same time. It seems like there's a lot of balancing going on to get her just right, and I wanted to make sure I acknowledged that, as it's very much appreciated!
But yeah, I was excited when I read the summary for this, and I'm even more excited now to see where you take this! I just wanted to let you know someone was eagerly anticipating more of this!
