Oh, and for how to do this story here. I think you could just do it as a classic CYOA book. Each branch would be its own chapter, and choices would say "Turn to chapter 5" and so.

I'm sure Maddy could be a new revenue stream herself, anyone could have her for a couple hundred, rent or buy. Maybe a new toy to keep other kids occupied. Or she could lead Jason to other good targets for shrinking, wild girls who won't be missed.

Good read! Love how grim some of the "good" endings are, and how nonchalant Jason is throughout.
Only wish there was a choice for him to stuff Madeline in his pants and take her home instead of handing her over!

Let's say, for the sake of argument, that such an ending was planned in a branch where Madeline escapes from Jason's stomach (Franky's fate is irrelevant). What sort of shenanigans do you think Jason and Maddy ought to get up to? Especially considering he has no fiduciary duty to Madeline's continued well being in this case?
