Dude, I've read a lot of giantess material on this and other sites. Take it from a true affecionado, this chapter is truly top-notch. To begin with, you write all of the characters extremely well. They really come across as people with depth, not just some shallow cartoon characters. The discussion in the cafeteria is one of the best efforts I've ever read about the all-too-real way in which actual human beings would react to a truly impossible seeming situation.

Further, you had the astonishing insight to have the two girls return to normal size, go back to school, and to have the above discussion with their fellow students. The very people who loomed over the whole city like goddesses have scaled back down to the level of the others and are now taking a genuine, and endearing, interest in how their actions effected those around them. Their fellow students are struggling as best they can to take honest stock of the implications of what had occurred the previous weekend. And the girls, particularly Natalie, take pains to help facilitate that reckoning.

A recurring theme in far too many macrophilia stories is the idea that the giantess(es), due to their power, don't have to take anyone else's welfare into consideration. They just selfishly do whatever they want. But Claire and Natalie are unusually empathetic, even by the standards of "normal" people. The backstory about Claire's concern with insects is fascinating, and you have Natalie take extra care to put the other students at ease (at least as much as possible).

Natalie genuinely listens, gently draws them out of their shells, and doesn't over-react in any way when they express how terrified they are. She encourages, and rewards, honesty in her fellow students' answers. She doesn't dominate the conversation, which she could easily do because of the knowledge of the overwhelming power differential which looms over everyone in that room. She treats the others like equals, instead of lording it over them.

In short, Natalie displays all the best characteristics of a good leader. Although it is clear to all that she's guiding the discussion, she manages to create an atmosphere of congeniality and cooperation in the group: as long as people answer thoughtfully and honestly, noone's position or feelings are dismissed or trivialized. She's willing to learn, to adapt on the fly, to reconsider her own pre-conceived notions. Even though it's clear that, due to her introspective nature, she's already carefully considered her positions, she's willing to allow that worldview to be challenged by good and open arguments.

Further, Natalie admits her own fears and uncertainties to the others in a very frank and disarming way. She doesn't feel the need to hide her emotional vulnerabilities, due, perhaps, to her strength of character, or to the fact she's so powerful compared to the others and therefore doesn't need to pretend to be tough, or to some combination of the above. This characteristic is extremely effective at putting the others at ease and facilitating a useful discussion.

Meanwhile, Claire serves as an important anchor at the table, simultaneously offering moral support to Natalie and helping to calm the others. She says little, but doesn't need to. Her steady strength, her moral core, provide the canvas upon which the group can paint its conversation. She helps provide a safe space, a sort of shelter, in which an honest discussion can take place. Continuing with the leadership analogy from earlier, she serves the vital role as a sort of second-in-command, backing Natalie up and helping her do her thing.

I really cannot emphasize enough what a rare treat it's been to see characters written this thoughtfully. You have a real insight into human psychology which is so often lacking in writers. This is going to sound a bit odd, but I wonder if this chapter or a modified version of it wouldn't make an excellent case study in an academic setting, perhaps for use in a course on effective leadership. There's ample precedent for using fictionalized scenarios for such purposes: some critics think that Richard Adams' "Watership Down" was largely written to contrast differing leadership styles. Just something to think about.

Anyway, thank you so much for this excellent story! I'm looking forward to reading more of it as you post it.

You write these characters SO well! It's fascinating to think of two beings of such power still feeling awkward and nervous like this. (See my more extensive comment on Chapter 6).

Thank you, first of all, for not denying it. That makes my job easier.

Thank you as well for giving me the opportunity to write another starred review, so hopefully people can more easily clock that there's something wrong with the prose. And you're correct, I didn't take the extra few hours out of my day to read more than 50k words of slop that you likely generated in minutes, if that. I didn't need to, when I was able to clock the fakeness from a mile away and confirm it with Pangram. But for fairness's sake, I did skip ahead and sample some future chapters too, and they all had those same hallmarks of AI writing as well as returned AI-generated in Pangram. If you really do spend hours out of your day trying to edit what was generated so that it becomes readable, I am a bit flummoxed and I have to wonder what you're actually doing. If it really was hand-edited, I'm rather sure the results wouldn't show 100% AI generated content for every excerpt I tested.

Anyway, I'm not terribly concerned that other people seem to think the story is well written. If they get something out of AI writing, that's their right. But I also think not everyone is as vigilant about AI writing as I am, and I want the people who read your content to be informed about how it's made from the jump. I despise AI fic writing--it's toothless and sexless and utterly dry of any real emotion. But if it must exist, at least do us the common courtesy and put a disclaimer that your work is AI generated, ideally in the title.

Author's Response:

I encourage you to read at least the first chapter in its entirety.  As I explained to you under your previous comment, I spend many hours editing each chapter.  In some cases, I have spent several weeks editing a single chapter.  I put a lot of effort into this, and you are literally the first and only person to have a problem with it.  Other people are sending me messages saying that this is the one of the best giantess stories they have ever read, if not the best.

I clicked on it because the premise looked interesting. But the moment I started reading this, my alarm bells started ringing. It is, quite transparently, AI-generated text. I suppose there's no accounting for taste, but when there are so many real writers on the site it upsets me that multiple reviews have praised this story seemingly unaware of the story being AI-generated.

Of course, I'd be less critical if the story generated was good. It's just... bland. There's no characterization or progression or pacing. It's the "idea" of a plot. I don't have a sense of who these girls are, just that they're big. The description overuses short and punchy sentences without understanding why such sentences are effective, and in what scenarios.

Perhaps I'm merely shouting into the void, but the proliferation of AI-generated stories on this website seems like the latest in a long series of death knells for the size kink community.

Author's Response:

The plot is not AI generated.  You obviously didn't read very far into the story prior to writing your review.  Many people have sent messages that this is the best character development of any giantess story they have ever read and praising the plot, precisely the points you are criticizing.  I do use A.I. to generate pictures for each chapter and to help write rough first drafts (to the plot that I come up with), and then I spend many hours or days or weeks editing and rewriting each chapter myself.  I probably spend more of my personal time on each chapter than someone who doesn't use AI to write a rough first draft.

Man this  excerpt from chapter 2… this is all I’ve ever wanted. “If some other 13 year old girls had found that thing, like some of our classmates, they would have immediately treated everyone around them like toys.  We know girls who would have turned the whole human race into their personal playthings, and no one would have been able to stop them.”

I just today read the first chapter. And I am already invested.
I haven't read the full available story yet. But I am looking forward to it, and I wanted you to know that bud.
:D

Author's Response: I hope you enjoy all the other chapters too.  Thanks.

Very cerebral story. A rare treat these days. I really like the aspect of danger looming in the background with the submerged feelings of the two characters. I would love to explore those more!

Author's Response:

I am glad you are enjoying the "cerebral" aspect of the story.  More of this story is on its way.

I read your story and genuinely loved it. It left a lasting impression on me and stayed in my thoughts long after I finished reading. The world building is amazing, and as I went through the story, a few questions about the characters came to mind that I would really love to ask you. Would it be possible for us to continue this conversation on Discord? I normally don't share my personal Discord with anyone, but I truly enjoyed your story and wanted to discuss it further, so I'm making an exception. My Discord is dizzysketchie. I'll be waiting for you there.

Author's Response:

The story isn’t over yet.  I am still in the process of writing new chapters.  By the way, this story on my Deviant Art account will always be several chapters ahead of what I have posted here on Giantess World.  Everything on my Deviant Art account is available to everyone for free.  I don’t have a Discord account.  If you want to contact me, you can do this through my Deviant Art account, which you can find through in the links for the pictures associated with each chapter.  Thanks for the compliments about my story.
