Definitely an emotional heavy chapter. Kinda depressing that Trent has no options. He either dies in a cave or tortured by the Japanese army. Don’t blame him for wanting Miki to kill him.
Miki is also in a rough spot. Even she doesn’t have a lot of hope that Trent will be spared. And she doesn’t want to kill him. Sad all around.
But I wonder who that person is at the ending. Probably a Japanese commander.

This was undoubtedly an important chapter for understanding the state of the world and the situation in which the two protagonists find themselves.
I can only agree with both of their opinions. The Japanese shouldn't have suffered in silence, but it's true that entomos have an advantage when humans fight each other.
I'm really interested in how this story will continue.

So we got answers on why NATO and Japan are fighting each other. To be fair both Miki and Trent made valid points. Miki and the rest of Japan are right not like NATO since their not being treated as equals and being treated badly. On the other hand Trent is right that the Entomo are way worse and are doing way worse things than NATO.
Personally I am leaning on Trent's side because at least NATO isn't wiping Japan off the map.
I also get why Trent has reservations about going wiki Miki to HQ. Will he be a prisoner of war? Executed? Who knows.....

We finally got a name! Miki! The Japanese naming order always confuse me, like is their last name their first name?
I also like that Trent is noticing he his passing out a lot. I noticed that last chapter.

Another story. I like the start.
So it appears that humanity is fighting of an invasion of a bug like race called the Entomo. So most of humanity appears to be on the same side, but the Japanese are rebelling. I'm curious why they are attacking NATO and how there are giant woman.
The Japanese are also still enemies of the Entomo since one giantess got killed.
