I think if you are looking for more ideas and future directions in the story I have a few ideas.

think maybe having Kaylee maybe confront the consequences of Derek's disappearance from society in the future may be a good point of conflict and possibly adding some guilt that may build overtime for basically kidnapping the guy after he did nothing,

You could also possibly play more into the fear angle for Derek in their dynamic especially after he saw what they did to Kyle (Obviously Derek is safe and Kaylee would PROBABLY not do anything to deliberately harm him (unless something happens in the future chapters already written) but I think it would be natural for people in general to be afraid of that happening to them)

Wow, I’m flat out impressed with this story so far. Especially with descriptive everything is. From the shop itself to each character, you paint a vivid picture for me to visualize and it’s fun to read. 

The only downside is that given that we are already 4 chapters in and each chapter is quite lengthy, not much plot happens much which is fine when I’m binging each chapter, but I believe that each chapter might just have about a scene or 2 and I might be hoping for more. 

Also, love the setting. This salon/barbershop place is something that I don’t see too many stories in this setting so it’s a nice refreshing take. It helps me personally because I also go to this one hair cutting place only because there is an older woman who I love having her cut my hair too, so it’s easy to relate to Derek in this scenario. 

Kaylee is flat out amazing! I like her friendly yet flirty demeanor and there is this subtle behavior that can leave any client of hers feeling charmed by her presence. The details of how she touches his hair, grazes his neck, grasping his chin. It’s amazing! Every little touch is electric and I believe it’s so relatable for me. 

But yeah, so far, I’m really enjoying the story and I can’t wait for the next chapter!
