I've been refreshing this page a couple times a week, and am glad you finished a new chapter. The result of William's compound is interesting and opens up new avenues of possibilities and interactions (I'm partially assuming the transformation itself is due to the Ant Queen's infectious mutation, and the protagonist maintaining their mind is thanks to the compound). I can only count on one hand the number of stories I read where the protagonist can fly. The tone of the story so far has been dire and bleak, so having such a superpower would come in handy for such a dystopian setting, but I can also imagine its use in friendlier and more loving interactions between a tiny man traversing the body of an animal-eared girl that's more like a living, breathing landscape to him.
Please keep up the good work.

Thank you for the feedback :)
At first, this was meant to be a shorter story. I initially planned for it to have only five chapters. But seeing that it attracted many readers, I felt it would be in good taste to extend it a bit further.

As a fan of anime-style catgirls, the first chapter of your story caught my interest. Though, with the time skip, I have more questions than answers about what happened to Williams after his taciturn cat, Kira, grew big. You named William's favoured cats Nefer and Yoru, and I was curious how they would react to being bigger than their former master (or however they perceived their cat-human relationship with Williams).
But instead of answering these questions, we're left with Williams as an old man in a world where he's at the mercy of ant-girls, and him developing a new compound that supposedly works on humans. We still don't really know how tall catgirls are compared to humans, or how this new kemonomimi society functions that would compel the second protagonist to hide underground in a shelter. And along with your ant and elephant pre-post size comparison, you teased doggirls are even bigger! The saying goes cats are attached to homes, whereas dogs are attached to people, so unless the doggirl's personality is severely altered from that of a faithful and loyal pet, I'm curious what sort of relationship doggirls would have with their former masters, now, super itty-bitty, teeny-tiny in comparison. I love anime catgirls, but while rarer, I love anime doggirls even more. There's so few size-fetish stories with catgirls, but despite that, there's been a few quality ones in the last couple decades, I cannot recall any fully fleshed-out stories with doggirls, let alone ones within the giga-size range. If the palm of an antgirl is the size of a 25m basketball court; if it's a 2mm ant, then a 80cm dog breed would become a doggirl with a palm that stretches for 10km. Imagining such a colossal doggirl interacting with her former master creates wonderful situations and illustration in my head.
I don't recall if I read any of your previous stories, so I don't know your preferences to get an idea how this story is going to inevitably turn out, but nevertheless, I'm looking forward to you continuing this one.

The loose ends are a feature I like to include in my stories. That’s just the way I write, answers will come at the right moment as the story moves forward.
Just a quick clarification about the scale: I used the bullet ant (about 2 cm) as a reference, so the ants are indeed gigantic, but probably not in the way you calculated. Also, even though William is described as an old bearded man (from Kelvin’s point of view), the timeskip between chapters 1 and 2 isn’t actually that long.
In the future, I still plan to explore more about the new society that was formed and, of course, dive into the catgirls and doggirls ;)

Humanoid ants can reach around 30 meters in height.
Humanoid cats are even taller than that. In the next chapter, I’ll explain that size difference in more detail.

Glad to see this is continuing.
Kinda curious to see what those ant-girls intend to do with the humans though.
