You're off to a great start!

Really good so far! I like Emma’s stern tone. She’s surprisingly forceful for how bookish she seems. Regardless of James’s stature and status, it’s hard to directly contradict someone about touching their body.

I like the dynamic they have going. Emma is reassuring but forceful, and James is bashful but compliant. Emma seems pretty comfortable already, but James may not have realized what he was signing away.

I wonder what that manual says? I also wonder how many rights James actually has and whether they’re enforced or if James has any recourse.

Author's Response:

I'm glad you like it! It's been fun messing around with "lighter" character concepts and touching on the gentle genre more closely. Emma started off as a little awkward but it's been fun to deepen that and show just how far she's in the antisocial rabbit hole. I also need to spend a little more time characterizing James. The manual is a good observation! I've left some of those specifics vague for a reason, but I have something of an idea for where it will go next. Stay tuned!

You continued after all! And you didn't disappoint. This next chapter builds in the premise of the original to great effect. I love the blurring of lines between gentle and cruel elements here. Emma's timid uncertainty makes a big leap forward into assertive dominance in a way that still feels natural and nuanced, while James' creeping realization that there's more to his new owner than meets the eye has played out believability. This teases a lot more tension to come, and I'm here for it. Well done!

Author's Response: I continued because of the reviews! I'm glad people enjoyed it and I agreed that it had a lot of room to explore ideas. I want to stay in the gentle genre but there are definitely cruel-adjacent themes to explore. That tension should be a lot of fun to play around with, and I'm injecting some tropes that I enjoy into the story to give me the gas I need to stick with it. I hope you stick with it, too! I'm hoping to push an update out sometime soon.

Very nice.  Nice characterization and the plot seems to be going well.  It's as realistic as it can be given that size change is unlikely :-(.  I'd certainly enjoy being him at least temporarily.

Author's Response:

I think many of us would ;)
Thank you for the review! I'm glad you find it realistic, I really try to make characters come first nowadays instead of the smut. Then the smut is even better!

Neat start. Emma sounds like my kind of giantess. Girl doesn't know what to do with her power and has to refer to a manual for pointers—nerd! Were you planning on doing more? I like the world and characters you built up thus far. I can see this as a start of a series!

Author's Response:

I'm glad you enjoyed the start, and I really appreciate your feedback here and on the discord server! It's been fun to explore the characters a little deeper, and I didn't really see it becoming a series at first but here we are! I hope you like where its going, thanks for the review!

I love how unsure of herself Emma is around James, its like she's never seen a person before, it really shows how introverted/shy she naturally is that simply owning a doll becomes easier than viewing him as a person.

I hope they manage to find a good balance together, even if James likely won't have much say in it..!

Author's Response:

Emma definitely needs to work on her people skills, good thing James can help her practice! <3
Fleshing out her character has been really fun, and I have an idea for where I want things to go. It's exciting!

Thanks for the review, and for your feedback on discord! Feedback is the reason this story got to keep going!

Wow, a gentle story coming from you is unexpected. And it's really good, too? Amazing!  The premise of giving up your life to be a doll is very appealing and you do it justice. I like the dialogue too, you get a good sense of the characters' personalities in a short amount of time. It leaves me wanting more, but for a short story you can't do better.

Author's Response:

I know, right?? Gentle isn't my forte but I like to think I can get to the core of any story if I think on it long enough. While I do think I may be straying a little far from the gentle shores I do want to keep the story anchored in those tropes. I hope I don't push it too far, but I'm really enjoying the dehumanization factor. I hope you like the direction its heading! Thank you for the review <3

Short and sweet. Nice story!
I especially liked the dialogue with Emma. It's jittery and awkward in a way that really works with her character.

Author's Response:

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Gentle stuff isn't my usual forté so I'm glad it translated well. I often feel like the personality of the biggo isn't well-developed in a lot of stories so I hope to really focus on cohesive characters.

Thanks for the review!

Awwwww a very cute story idea and I can't wait to see where it goes for these two

Author's Response:

I'm not sure how much steam I have to continue the plot but I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm not ruling out resisting the story. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review!

Hey, this is good stuff! I wasn't sure going in if I was going to like this based purely on the description, but you've told a very effective tale here. Emma really shines as an unassured woman finding her footing as the owner of a tiny man. I saw you marked it completed, but this story has legs, and I hope you opt to continue it. Great read!

Author's Response:

Thanks! Yes I'm not sure if I'll revisit the story, it's a bit on the gentle side for me and while I enjoyed telling the story my own proclivities would likely shift the tone. But I'm not ruling it out! Thank you for leaving a review <3
