God, I love Ruby's unapologetic "Yes" when Levi asks sarcastically if she eavesdrops much! She's fucking great!

And that whole conversation in chapter 13, from the interesting bit about the nano symbiotes to Levi trying to ignore the fact that he was kissing Ruby to her wanting to see his dick (for science), I just really enjoy it whenever these two get together.

Effie continues to be super adorable. Her rambling explanation of how him asking her out is supposed to work was cute, but I also like how divided on this she is. She likes that he wasn't weird with her after all that stuff in her room, but she was hoping he'd take some initiative. She's even quick to say it isn't his fault for not doing that, even though he takes responsibility for it (which is actually really cool of him to do).

And the way both Effie and Ruby want to protect Levi's innocence from the big, bad interwebs is so sweet. I was a little surprised when Ruby felt this way at first, but the fact that she introduced her sister to porn and came to regret it makes so much sense. It's how I expected Ruby to act with Levi, but she's already done that and felt like she had corrupted her sister in some way.

I'm also loving how protective Ruby is of Effie. Not in the traditional way, where she's trying to keep a boy away from her sister, but in this odd way that involves her trying to get Effie laid. She wants Effie to be happy, and not only does she know that Levi would make her happy, but he's earned Ruby's approval as well.

Finally, making Levi so innocent is very telling for how some littles grow up. He hasn't had access to real porn (him thinking that YouTube clip was porn was adorable!), and it's clear that none of his foster parents ever took the time to have "the talk" with him. It's kind of sad when you stop to think about it. It just seems like all of Levi's previous "owners" just kept him around for the money, like that bitch Margaret.

But I can see why Ruby is so excited that Levi isn't only a virgin but hasn't even orgasmed before (he didn't even know the difference between cum and precum; I just can't! It's too cute!). Effie is going to give him an experience he'll never forget, and no matter how things turn out between them, she'll be etched in his brain forever. Not to mention how much run it's going to be for her to be the one to make him experience it (and have the favor returned, I'm sure!).

Man, I'm really excited for the next (batch of?) chapter(s)! Excellent work so far!

this story is adorable and i can't wait for more.  the lead up is taking forever so the payoff should be amazing when it does happen.

Author's Response:

Thank you. I do tend to have long lead ups.

This is such a fun story!

You write dialogue exceptionally well! I really enjoy all the back and forth between the characters, especially between Levi and Effie, obviously, but Ruby and Dahlia each feel like distinct characters as well! I already love all four of them! In fact, I've been enjoying the dialoguing and character work so much so far, that I didn't even mind the limited actual giantess interaction in the first 10 chapters at all.

In fact, those first 10 chapters did an incredible job of building up to that big moment in chapter 11, when Levi and Effie finally meet fact-to-face. Kind of. The fact that Levi still hasn't seen Effie after that chapter only helps to build the anticipation for that moment when they finally see each other not under a blanket and in proper lighting!

And finding out from Dahlia that Effie is actually hot instead of the monster that she's convinced she is adds to that anticipation as well. It's not even that Effie needed to be particularly attractive in order for me to want her to finally reveal herself to Effie. It's more that I now want to see his reaction after she completely (and unintentionally) undersold how much of a knockout she apparently is. That should be really fun!

But Effie's confession was so adorable! The way she rambled on, revealing way too much of what she was thinking, then trying to abruptly dismiss it like she was lying and that he needed to forget about it had me laughing so hard! And Levi, being completely honest, saying he doesn't know if he loves her because he doesn't know what that feels like was both sad and touching, and the way he described how he felt about Effie (which, like Effie told Dahlia, was clearly a confession) was such a raw, sincere moment. You've done such a great job of making me want to see these two get together!

Speaking of that, the highlight of the first 12 chapters (way to spoil us, by the way!), to me, was Levi's walk to Effie's room. I already complimented your dialoguing, but holy shit did I enjoy these two teasing, ragging on, and comforting each other so much in this scene! Also, little things like Levi noticing the water droplets from Effie not drying her hands so she could make a raid was really cool. I can't explain why, but little things like that, a tiny seeing an afterthought of a giant like those droplets, really intrigues me.

Effie is such a lovable character! Not only is she sweet, considerate, and, at times, borderline motherly toward Levi, but her shyness is so cute! And her love for Levi is so evident in these first 12 chapters, even in ways you wouldn't expect. The fact that she was willing to not only let him leave as soon as he learned the truth but even offered to find him another place where he could be free was so sweet. She thought he hated her and that he didn't want to have anything to do with her, yet she still prioritized his happiness. That's love presented in a way that we normally don't think about. She put his wants and feelings above her own, even when there was only loss in it for her. This is the kind of thing that makes me want to root for a character.

And Levi is so understanding and laid back, even when he doesn't know what to make of his situation. I honestly expected him to be way more hostile when he found out Effie was a big, but, even then, right after he found out, he was the one calming her down and letting her know that it was okay, even though he wasn't entirely sure if he was, in fact, okay with it. In that way, he put her feelings ahead of his own just like I mentioned that she did for him. He also has his own unique charm to him as well, as is seen both with Effie and with Ruby, once he got comfortable with his fellow tiny. I can see why even someone as socially anxious as Effie has fallen for the guy.

Ruby, though. God, do I love Ruby so much! That no filter thing she's got going on is great! She's so vulgar and to the point, but there's a certain wisdom behind her words, too. She likes to have fun and doesn't hesitate because life's too short, especially for tinies, apparently. It's clear she loves her sister and has already taken quite a liking to Levi, even if she doesn't always sound like it. I look forward to seeing more of her!

As for Dahlia, we haven't seen a ton of her either, but I really like what we have seen. From the moment she exposed Margaret for exploiting Levi's stipend to fuel her gambling addiction and admitted to Levi that she enjoyed putting people who abuse tinies in their place, I knew I was going to like her. She seems like a good match for Ruby, too, as she doesn't have much of a filter either but has just a little bit of one. But the most telling moment about her to me was when Ruby was talking to her on the phone. You could tell by the way Ruby was talking that she was worried about what Levi would think of her after Ruby shared a little too much about their sex life. That Dahlia would care that much about what a tiny she had only met once and could easily just avoid thinks of her says a lot for how highly she thinks of tinies.

I'm also curious about this shortened lifespan and the nanomachines for the tinies. I'm wondering if this is just worldbuilding stuff and that the lifespan thing was just brought up to make the lives of tinies more difficult. Or is this going to eventually move the story toward some larger plot? I could see it going either way, but I have to admit, I'm already hoping they find a way to expand those lifespans. The thought of Effie getting with Levi only to lose him in her 30s is a sad thought indeed.

So yeah, obviously I really enjoyed this so far. I'm excited to see where you go with this!

Wow, you wrote a book! I think I'll do the same.

Thank you so much, it means a lot!

This is a very cute story with charming characters. I really like how you’re slowly sprinkling in little worldbuilding tidbits in the background and answering questions the reader might have as you go. Great job.

Author's Response:

Thanks! Too much worldbuilding early puts me to sleep.
