Ryemi is definitely one of my favorites right now. Looks like I was kind of right about her being able to copy domains but I thought she was a goddess herself. Considering her powers literally drains her life span im surprised mimi let her go down to find Ryan or maybe she went on her own without permission.
Im pretty confident that Ryemi will eventually eat a shard of origin and that will heal her and make her a proper goddess. Also it seems that Ryemi and Ren are more like father and daugher rather than romantic which is nice and wholesome. But with the comments Ren sometimes makes about Ryemis body, I wouldn't be surprised if it did turn out romantic after all lol.
Layla is very suspicious and she has art drawn of her so im pretty sure she has something to do with the goddesses and might be the reason why faye even found them in the first place.
I like how Cornwell was willing to kill ryan when he wanted to leave due to how serious they were about security but now there is nothing stopping people from leaving and exposing the barrier even while a goddess is looking at that spot. I guess security really went downhill after Cornwell disappeared lol
As for the ending, my prediction it was Ryan who was responsible for saving them. Since it has to be someone familiar with the technology and although Ryan was with Jacob before, but he was completely absent in minas chapter so im assuming he must have left. Maybe he somehow found out Faye was going to attack and rushed back to save Artemis. Would also finally let ryan and ryemi meet lmao

Awesome chapter, I always wanted to know more about what happened in the past and the bigger the girls are the better in my opinion so I really enjoyed this chapter.
I liked the scale of just how huge she was and the effect her actions had. Also story wise it definitely makes me wonder just what happened to her, was she defeated or did she let humanity be wiped out.I wonder if there is a reason her name hasn't been revealed yet.

Great chapter, when I first saw the title I thought idol was going to refer to worship and it would be minas dark secret or something not performer idols lol. Though this was hilarious and sweet as well. And then I got surprised by the ending. Jacob had a pretty good plan
I think it is high likely that melody is going to become a goddess, since I am pretty sure any girl with art drawn of them will eventually become one lol.

Jacob's plan was the result of me trying to figure out what are plausible strategies that a desperate and cunning human would come up with when facing such unkillable titans. It was interesting to see that the goddesses already know about Artemis; one would've thought the portal was too insignificant from their perspective.

Part 2 will be the last official installment of The Origin but I do plan to make a sequel set in the same universe with a completely different setting and style. Of course, I will be working on spinoffs and short stories too whenever I get any inspiration.
Without spoiling anything about the ending, I will also say that there may be more than just one sequel series for The Origin, but we will see when we get there. I won't promise anything more until I gauge the reactions of readers after the ending.

two chapters have come to past, which means its time i leave my comments again...
Chapter 8 and 9 are very fun chapters even though without much gts content, i think this is still great as youre preparing us readers for something big in the near future.
now for chapter 8... all i have to say is that i do not trust layla AT ALL, and youved written her like that for reasons which will only become clear on the upcoming chapters, i mean, shes very anonymous and doesnt want to speak up too much, im keeping a close eye on her if were still going slow by the next chapters because i cant get a read on her, maybe im just thinking too much and she actually is just a normal person... suffice it to say, im very invested by this section of the story now
for chapter 9 though... it left me confused for the first time, but then i realized that mina is ithyrminah.... jacob i cannot full heatedly trust you any one bit now, i think what hes doing is insane.... and with what we saw on the ??? chapter, this could only end badly for everyone.
i think this second part gets better and better as you slowed down the pace and risen the tension, the only thing thats missing is to have ryan and mimi/lucy back... because i kinda miss them both and tbh i just wanna see if mimi's "yandere" issues got even worse since its been a long time our two main characters havent seen each other.
im flip flopping topics now but i kinda want to talk about the fanwork, since im getting pretty intrested in ideas involving gts and genderswap now even more so due to the ??? chapter.... and what would happen if a man was actually able to consume the shard of genesis and not turn into a pile of sludge or something worse... guess ill keep brainstorming about it since there looks to be plenty of time before the second part ends!

Glad that Mina's identity wasn't too confusing, due to the nature of how I structured the chapters, we do keep jumping around between characters and storylines so it may need some getting used to when chapter 9 is a direct continuation of chapter 7(her new name as Mina was also teased in chapter 7 if you noticed). I don't want to overexplain things too much because I do get that bad habit sometimes, but I do place relevant pieces of information and foreshadowing throughout the entire story so that most things won't seem like it comes out of nowhere. In the future chapters you will see that not all aspects of the plot get explicitly explained, but can be deduced by the end of the story after the fact(you can always ask me questions about the plot after the ending and I'll be happy to answer them). Hopefully I still do a good job of portraying the story in spite of that.
As for the pacing, as mentioned in my replies to other comments, it will start picking back up very very soon. So please look forward to that. I know you are very eager to see part 1 characters like Lucy and Mimi again, hopefully they will make an appearance soon. But I also do have to give the part 2 characters some love too, the cast of this story has grown far bigger than I initially envisioned but I still want to do everyone justice if I can.

Goddesses are really powerful and near-invulnerable, but their greatest advantage has always been their size. This is just one of the ideas I've explored on what humans could possibly do to stand a chance against the goddesses given their insurmountable disparity in power. The other example would be the case of Genesis's death, where it required humanity to be have hyper-advanced space faring technology and also required Genesis to choose to not fight back.
Next few chapters may contain a lot more setup, but things will gradually speed up afterwards as we approach the climax of the story. Hope you keep reading!

Combining my thoughts on 6.5 and 7 here. First, 6.5
I really like how we got shown the past mistake of humanity, shows how we got here, not really much to talk about there since its most likely just preparation for the introduction of more story relevant characters down the line.
But 7 though... First of all, welcome back jacob! so nice to see that youre still most likely the antagonist of Ryans story! and what do we hear of her plans. its like im seeing some connections here, one with the emperor and jacob, excited to see how that one pops out! Ithyrminah is now feels like a more likeable character in these, with how the chapter ended, hopefully ryan can find a way to either convince jacob that this will only make the situation worse, which i dont believe, or he can rescue her away from jacob, and who knows ryan might have a new companion on his journey, cause with how shes being presented i feel like theres a chance it COULD happen, which is pretty exciting.

Ehem... sorry for that outburst im just so excited for the second part.
man cant wait for ryemi to meet her dad, and even more so for ryan to meet mimi again.
Our two main characters have quite a different dynamic than ryan and mimi, as mimi is a human turned goddess, lucy is a goddess turned human, honestly great work on mimi for teaching her manners shes a great mother ( you cant fool me thats their daughter ).
Ren also gives a different role than ryan. firstly, ryan is someone ryemi just met while ryan and mimi were already best of friends on the start of the story.
and more importantly now is the change of instead of there being two major groups ( ryan's and mimi's ), we have one group thats ren and ryumi, our two new characters, and ryan who gets a lot more of the limelight as he explores the world now ruled by goddesses 16 years after.
on another note i really like how Ithyrminah becomes more of a neutral force in the story instead instead of before, shows that maybe... just maybe theres a chance that humans and goddesses could coexist after all.
Thats all for now! I think the time ill be writing my fan work for your amazing piece will be after the second part ends so i have a full understanding of your work! Its great to have you back! ( even though im more than half a month late from saying this lol )

I'm glad that you are still interested in writing fan work and I would really love to read it someday. Although I might still have plans to extend to a part 3, the ending of part 2 will definitely give sufficient information about the world to write a comprehensive fan story, so I'm excited and hopefully I'll be able to write faster lol.
From hearing your thoughts, I can see that you have already been able to identify some of the key ideas that will come into play later in the story. Although I won't be revealing what they are. I think the way the ideas get woven into the story and characters will still end up surprising you though, at least I hope so.

Fight was great, im surprised ryemi could grow considering how scared she was at moments in previous chapters. Nice to see her and ren get a well deserved win. Im really loving their relationship so far.
Im guessing she has multiple domains or a domain that lets her copy other domains. Im looking forward to see how ren reacts to ryemi now.
Ive realized that zu's entry being deleted in the previous chapter was probably because she was killed here. Though speaking of the previous chapter, I thought that the people were killing and trying to eat each other was zu controlling them with her power. But then its revealed her power is just lightning and that it was her rules that caused them to be in that desperate state. That was a nice twist.

There's still a lot of mystery surrounding Ryemi and her powers so hopefully we get a bit more clarity about that in the upcoming chapters. As you can probably guess, Ren and Ryemi will feature a slightly different relationship from other giantess-human pairs shown in part 1. There will be a more wholesome dynamic between these two so I hope you enjoy that kind of thing too. Good eye for identifying the Zu's entry thing.

The ithyirminah scenes were awesome. I bet the place she goes to is some kind of dark secret where shes actually terrifying to humans and not kind like she was in this chapter.
