One of the best entries in the contest! It starts off like a nice montergirl story, and while I expected something to go wrong, just how bleak this ended up being for humanity caught me off guard. You made great use of the betrayal theme and I love it when a story's title has a double meaning.

This was a really good Halloween story. Really strong horror vibes. I loved the cruise ship setting, the vacationers all trapped and isolated, hiding in the cabins as they're picked off one by one. And I did not see that twist coming at the end. Such a powerful conclusion that recontextualizes the events preceding it. Great work!
