I like the unease that the characters face regarding their financial status and how it impacts their lifestyle if it changes. I also get the impression that whatever contract was signed can change, much like the contracts many of us agree to for online services :)

I was wondering if Alyssa might become more sophisticated as she interacts with her "charges". She is very rough around the edges, but she gives me the feeling that she would like to be perceived (by normals) as not being a hick or an oaf (or maybe she likes being that way).
