I forgot to leave a rating last time, haha.
I find myself rereading this story every once in awhile because something about the simplicity of its stream of consciousness style narrative really appeals to me. It's inspiring me to come up with a short story of my own that does something similar. I also didn't realize that you wrote this over the course of a plane ride, which means, if I'm right, that it's a first draft. If so, then wow, that's pretty good for not getting any editing. I liked it, the diary style seemed really fun and helped it flow nicely. I'm really hoping you continue it because it sounds like Kaylee would be a fun bubbly character to follow along with as she continues to grow and occupy herself at everyone elses expense. Looking forward to anything else you write too!
