I enjoyed this! I liked how you kept up a sense of uncertainty for Matilda. It’s not almost until the end that she’s sure she’s going to die. Keeping hope alive just to snuff it out is always fun.
I liked Anna’s destructive nature with the apples. I enjoy the added humiliation of the predator destroying the prey’s possessions. I think you could have pushed it further and had Anna destroy some of the buildings or invented some other prized possessions for her to ruin.

Hey, Cali! I already gave you tons of praise for this story universe and wonderful giantess on discord, but you can't stop me from praising you here!
I must say, one of the greatest pleasure from reading your stories is the powerful imagery that conjures up when reading your narrative. I'd say that everything from the cadence of the words to the metaphors, from the first paragraph, through the vore, and ending are beyond lovely. Such a treat and rarity in our community.
I think I told you before that Anna is my kind of giantess. The cruelty and the way she talks down to people makes her so alluring to me.
The world-building is top-notch and I love the role giants play in your world. Those are tax collectors you would not want to cross!

This is a wonderful book. It should be continued. It doesn't make sense to make this a one chapter page.
