First my condolences for your loss and send positive vibes your way! 

I would like to say I like to do a lot of binge reading rather than read as chapters form as when I find a story that is captivating I don't really enjoy the wait between chapters. 

There are occasions I run across stories that are interesting at the start so I read and then find myself at the end of the chapters and then I'm at that point I am like oh crap I am now waiting for the next chapter. This is one of those stories. 

These story really touches on situations throughout the chapters that we as a society has not really discussed and delved into for better understanding. The rape scene in the bathroom, the remembering of how Jake was treated when he was a child happens in our society but really never discussed.

Great scenes although dark makes just the little things we do to each other seem mundane but how it affects the other person we just don't truly understand. 

There is a lot to unpack in this story but it truly is a Great read and I looking forward to reading more chapter as you post them. This is another one of my favorites.

 

Author's Response: Firstly, thank you for your condolences. Loss is never easy but a great long life was lived and we will cherish their memory. Second, you're absolutely right about the issues society acknowledges vs the ones society tends to sweep under the rug as it were. I come from a military background and didn't have the best start in life myself, so my writing I feel will always have a dark undertone to it; that being said I've traveled this world and seen all the good there is in it as well. We like Jake, will all have trials and tribulations throughout our lives. How we respond in the best of times determines our perseverance during the worst of them. Appreciate your review Alpha, I'm glad you are enjoying the story thus far.

Another great chapter! Definitely a dark turn, but it adds a lot of depth to Jake.

Loving where this is going! Excellent build up and excitement along the way to the shrinking. Enjoying the dynamic between the characters too! Will be keeping an eye on this one for sure! Great work! Cant wait to see jake at the feet of jose and kate!!
