I went into this story expecting to dislike it, purely because of the use of OCs when pokemon already has a lot of loved characters to used, and I was instead pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Cassie and Lara really feel ingrained in this world, like the story couldn't have easily taken place in another setting, which is delightful.

The use of having Lara call out what 'moves' she's using, while a bit cliche, was a cute touch. I like that you leaned into it even, by including more than just "Stomp" or "Lick" which seem to be the only two examples I see other writers use.

The ending, remarking how blissfully unaware and stupid her team of Bidoofs were, was very amusing. Plus that mental image of being trapped inside the ironic pokeball without actually being 'captured' by whatever tech powers it was appealing.

Fantastic story overall. I'd be excited to see how you'd continue from where it left off, Lara has become a favorite character of mine on this site. It helps that I have a weakness for pink hair.
