Now for volume III.

Now that we have been introduced to new characters in the previous volume, we should start seeing how all these characters start to interact with each other.

 We are learning more about Ebedias and Zelena, very interesting characters. The exotic, erotic but impatient demeanor of Zelena is intriguing.

We learn more about the explosion those many years ago that destroyed the lab and released Jacob and Annie. Very interesting although I was not expecting this turn of events. Although it doesn’t surprise me the origin of the explosion. The mission given to Ebedias and Zelena is harsh and establishes the flow of this new volume. Things will start to heat up even more as the characters start to formulate their roles and will be interesting to see how they work together.

Okay, I was not expecting this while Jacob was on the plane. This was very disturbing, and I got chills during the interaction with the child. This was an intense scene between Jacob and Avaramix.

We are left with anticipation for the next chapter and realizing things are getting intense.

Looking forward to reading the next chapter.

I am happy to see you are back writing and looking forward to reading this finale for Volume 2.

 

As always, I write my review as I am reading the chapter, this allows me to keep track of what I want to say in real-time.

So, without further ado I will dive right into the reading/review of the finale.

We are left wondering who this character is that is talking with Jacob. Obviously, we are told in the end of the previous chapter that there needs to be the trinity combined power of Jacob Blaire and Gullivette to defeat the evil which is to be born.

It is interesting to see the confusion within Jacob as he is dealing with what just happened and obviously the mixed emotions he must be having when confronted by the survivors from the nefarious organization.

We see the emotions boiling up within Jacob as he confronts the evil that is before him. The fighters run as Jacob unleashes wrath upon them. Very intriguing direction, makes you wonder about the possibilities within this new world we find ourselves in.

Now we are confronted with the knowledge of how Deita has been transformed and what intentions Auron and Avaramix have for the future of this world. Interesting conversation between the two and we find ourselves being introduced to two new characters that will undoubtedly bring chaos onto the scene.

I am intrigued to see if Deita will harbor any deep emotions from her previous self and how she will wrestle with them.

Now we are introduced to the true evil that will befall the world and understand the illusion the Nefarious organization has with the power they seek. The hint of what is to come of our world by hearing what has happened to Alec’s home.

There are so many possibilities we will be able to see when volume 3 comes out. The paths are endless.

How will the interaction with Blaire and Annie go? What will happen when Deita is awakened and how will she react to her transformation? What will happen when Avaramix finds out Jacob’s change of heart? The interaction between Blaire, Annie and Jacob will be intriguing how they will react to realizing that they will need him to complete the trinity.

Looking forward to the next chapter and where you take us on this journey.

I've spent most of this volume unveiling all of the threads, and now at last volume 3 will take us to the fabric of the plotline of Avaramix and his organization, and how Jacob, Annie and Blaire have gotten involved and just how relevant their anticipated union could be.

Date: August 14 2023 3:56 AM Title: Chapter 15 - Jacob VS Gullivette

Here we are the inevitable encounter with Jacob and Annie/Gullivette.

Nice opening with detailed descriptions of the location we are in, makes you feel as if you could be there. Gullivette's intuition about this location seems to be telling her ambush. O’Dais is a criminal and liar so heeding this warning is paramount.

Seeing Jacob for the first time in so many years could easily disrupt Annie’s train of thought and put her at a disadvantage. At this point you wonder will Jacob’s ability have any effect on Annie as she can just grow back to normal.

We are now reading how Jacob feels about her betrayal and abandonment all those years back. She could have gone back to make sure he was safe. Makes you wonder if her making a different choice could have changed Jacob’s trajectory.

The interaction between Annie and Jacob is most interesting and enlightening. I was engrossed reading their discussion. Great job at creating a believable interaction between the two.

I knew Avaramix wanted O’Dias dead, but I guess I didn’t know it would be handled so abruptly and low key. Nice touch though shows how unimportant Avaramix and or Jacob thought of O’Dias.  

Now the battle begins, and it doesn’t look promising for Gullivette with the technology being used against her. Another intense battle taking place puts you on the edge of your seat.  

The horrific action by Jacob solidifies the hatred you feel for him. The unadulterated evil this man has become. The feeling of dread and hope fading as you read hoping for some form of saving that may never come. So very intense and saddining. 

The brutal attack from Jacob on Annie was intense and I felt as if she would not overcome this battle.

Although Annie/Gullivette is amazing and once again has shown she can harness her abilities to heights unheard of.

I am totally now a Gullivette fan, I was skeptical of her at first, but she has earned a place in my mind the lofty position along with Jinshin and now Blaire.  “Our trio of heroes”

Great job with this chapter I am totally blown away and saddened at the loss of those from the team but am happy that Gullivette and Ghywin have survived to fight another day.  

Now that Gullivette and Ghywin understand who they are up against they should be better prepared to confront the next interaction. They need to limp back to their base and recoup and plan for their next battle as it most definitely will be more intense than this one. 

It will be interesting to see how Avaramix will take the loss in this battle. Although I’m sure Jacob could care less what Avaramix thinks as his power is much more intense than anything Avaramix could obtain now.

Now we are left wondering how Jacob will react when he finds out Blaire knows about his nefarious actions. We also now wonder what special abilities Blaire holds. Looking forward to the next chapter. 

I could go on and on with what this chapter has brought forth but will leave it at this for now. Another fight scene equal to that of Jinshin and Deita's fight.

Yeah O'Dias had a purpose and it was fulfilled in this chapter. Sadly he was in the hot seat and Avaramix didn't trust him to keep quiet so they used him to set the trap and then offed him lol.

This entire battle was exactly how I imagined it. I was very happy with the end result of this chapter indeed. 

Now we know just how powerful Jacob really is. Being able to counter Annie's size and strength to such a deafening extent must have been a shock to the entire task force. Sadly, that force has been annihilated nearly entirely. Will have to see how many other team members survived if any.

This chapter did Annie a lot of justice, especially since she's been arguably the least developed character in the story imo.

Very much wonder just how far Gullivette managed to throw Jacob deep into the desert lmao, and what condition he is in xD

Date: August 12 2023 11:52 PM Title: Chapter 14 - Jacob's Nightmares: The Sole Problem

I will keep this review vague as possible to obviously not give any spoilers to anyone reading reviews prior to reading the story chapter.

We open with Camilla, our first predator in this story, with a new character Claire. This one was a little harder as feet don’t do much for me, so I was reading through it without much interest. I focused more heavily on the content of the characters rather than the action that was taking place.

I liked the gentleness of Claire as she tried protecting Cate although she was oblivious of what she was a part of. Claire’s sadistic nature was intriguing as well.

WOW!  He just shows up anywhere. We are graced with more knowledge of his abilities, and they are very interesting to say the least. Telepathic powers, being able to control others mind and body, Strength unmatched by anyone obviously he must be able to teleport to different locations (only assuming Camilla doesn’t live near Blaire’s parents house).

There is a feeling of justice as we encounter the judgment performed by Alec. I truly love the details of what happens to Camilla, she deserves every bit of this sentence.

Seeing through portals and able to control others from a distance is amazing reminiscent of God like qualities. Alec showing us another ability causes the plot to just deepen and gets more Interesting as we move through the chapters.

I loved how you tied the plot of the story into the dream sequence moving the chapters along seamlessly. Great ending with what we will hopefully see in the next chapter. I have grown to love these four characters more and more as the chapters progress.

This makes you wonder will Jinshin ever face the judgement from Alec or will he give her a pass due to her helping the victims now. Hopefully he will give her the pass and call her help as penance for her past deeds.

Looking forward to seeing where we go with the next chapter and wondering how Blaire will react when she finds out the true nature of Jacob and how she reacts to the knowledge of who those two tiny victims are in her house.

I think this is a great time to bring this character into the loop of the story. Really, perfect timing.

When I read about him being the foundation for the DNA my first thoughts were the abilities we see Jacob and Annie have obviously should be derived from Alec's ability and we are only seeing it manifested in part within each of them. I also read that the DNA used for Annie and Jacob were not an original strand but derived from Blaire. 

I think of it in terms of Alec is ground zero and Blaire is secondary while Annie and Jacob are third generation. This makes you wonder what the ability Blaire may have because we should assume at a minimum Alec has the ability to Shrink himself and others as well as grow himself and others, We see he has the ability to read and witness others lives, not only the victims but everyone on the planet.

I think Jacob and Blaire has picked up an alternate version of this as they are able to see the victims through dreams. I also am wondering really what other abilities Alec has that we just don't know of yet. There could be infinite number of abilities out there especially if he is Ground Zero.

I could see Blaire having multiple abilities outside of what Annie and or Jacob has as she was created with an unaltered pure strand of his DNA unlike Annie and Jacob who had altered DNA inserted into them. Blaire could have many abilities and she just doesn't understand them yet. Her purpose in this story has now risen to the highest level.

It will be interesting to see if Alec does get directly involved and if so how.

Also there are many questions of the origin of Alec, is he supernatural or alien 

I have been trying to keep my review as vague as possible as I was not wanting to spoil any other readers perspective when they read the story. But my mind is racing through the possibilities as I read the story.

You have created a wonderful story that has so many potential twists and turns that must be hard to keep track of.

It's definitely getting there, I'm constantly replaying the facts in my head to make sure I don't miss anything!

I love seeing your breakdown and honestly I am very excited to finish this story and finally unveil the grand scheme of it all!

As for Alec, his introduction is vague on his origin for a reason. While this book will focus on the main cast so far, Alec will be a fantastic lead in for a book 2 or volume 4 of Nefarious!

I won't spoil anything yet, but I'm already planning Nefarious 2 lol.

This is a nice turn and refreshing to switch to another portion of the story. Blaire is such a sleuth. Searching into all the missing person cases in Valdez. For a small town of 3,900+ 20 missing persons should be more alarming to the police. For the authorities to be this complacent you would think maybe there could be a connection between the police and this nefarious organization.

Blaire’s, mind is baffled, and she is now wondering who the man is she shared a bed with. The unease she must be feeling. It will be interesting to see how Jacob tries to turn this around. Will Blaire end up as a victim as well in this saga? Time will tell.

Back to Jacob, Avaramix and Deita very interesting conversation between Avaramix and Jacob concerning everything going on in Valdez and the condition of Deita. Her wounds are severe. Hearing that she may have lost the will to live is interesting. The betrayal of Jinshin causing this in an intriguing concept.

I love how you have each character have their own agenda that sometimes conflicts with the others. It is wise for Jacob to question his position in the organization and prepare for the worse scenario.

Okay, that was an exceptionally unexpected turn. Blaire is the contact the caller set up. I am at a loss for words but now my interest is even more peaked. There will be a lot of questions and answers Blaire and Jinshin will be going through with each other. WOW! Great job at throwing this curve ball out of nowhere.

Wow OMG her father knew all along where she was at! At the realization here chills went up my spine amazing! I am not normally at a loss for words but OMG!

Great way to end this chapter and keeping the interest level peaked! Very interesting how Blaire's family is linked with Gullivette.

In regards to Blaires character, she's been wholly out of the scene and basically on the sidelines without a clue as to what was happening around her until now...

That being said, as we reach the awaited reunion of Anna and Jacob, I am very excited to start unveiling the final curveballs as I start tying everything together at the start of volume III.

Needless to say, we are almost at the end of volume II. There will be one more bonus chapter this volume featuring the poll results I've had going for the last several chapters.

As for Blaire, that poor and innocent woman, will Jinshin be gentle with her? Hehehe.

As I finished this chapter and wrote my review I stepped aside and could not stop thinking about what I just read so I wanted to get back on her and give some additional as they are fresh on my mind.

I'm thinking the dynamic now between Avaramix and Deita has changed due to her loss to Jinshin. Will he have her shrunk by Jacob and her given to the same fate she was so easily giving to those victims? Will she end up being eaten by some bratty rich girl, this would be a fate that is befitting her.

WOW Great job at keeping this story intense.

The cliffhanger of an ending in the previous chapter left us all wondering how this will all turn out for Jinshin and Ben. The start of this chapter opens with another great flashback allowing us an opportunity to learn more about how the relationship evolved between Jinshin and Deita. I didn’t realize Deita had been with the organization longer than Jinshin until now. I just assumed due to her demeanor she was the senior (Not in age but seniority) between the two.

The interaction between Jinshin and Ben was heart warming and gave me chills as we transitioned to Deita and Liz. This was the culmination of all the build-up over the previous chapters leading us to this moment. The anticipation of Liz and her final moment as a person and how she felt as she was transitioned into a snack for this evil woman.

This chapter gave ne chills as the previous chapter. What a story and now we are left with wondering how in the how in the holy short people are we going to get out of here.

Anticipating the next installment and where we go from here.

Will Jinshin, Ben and Liz make it out alive?

Will they be caught and if so will Jinshin be shrunk and handed over to Deita for disposal?

Will Liz see her father again before Avaramix and his cronies come knocking?

There are so many possibilities that await us, it is unfathomable.  

I am intrigued to see where you take us on the next journey.
