Really good so far! I enjoy your style of writing, especially the first person view of our main character. Its a good balance between cynical and fasinated by life and ger surroundings.

Really good start! Piper seems caring, but also domineering and a bit possessive. I wonder if her and her classmates (and others) will fight over ownership of lil Shortcake :)
