So Ren still has the index. Im just imagining him being curious about Mimi and then he just sees a kill count of over a million lol.

Also ah so Mimi couldnt shrink down and wasn't just so detached from her humanity that she never bothered. Considering how nice Ryemi is, it would be a bit strange if mimi was really that cold towards humanity.

Glad to see Mimi was affected after all by what she did and what makes it worse for her is that she probably does not have anyone around her who can empathize since Iggy does care about lyre but shes been killing cities for ages so she probably cant empathize with the pain and guilt mimi feels right now.

And Amara literally kills human for the slightest disobedience and uses them for experiments and thats without her being even being angry with them at all lol. Though she has probably changed after being mortal for so long. Im pretty sure human science might interest her so she might get a fondness for humanity that way. Maybe Ryan can win her over with his science talk about dimensions lol

Also huge contrast in how Estheia interacts with Layla now. In the last chapter she was using her illusions and was all calm cool and collected and did a good job of manipulating layla for her own purposes. But now Estheia is just terrified of her. I'm assuming a lot of laylas hatred comes from Estheia manipulation. I kind of want to see Layla just crush a bunch of goddesses as well just so Estheia could see what kind of monster she created with her hatred lol.

Lucy is the absolute goat this chapter. I will be honest since she cant use her domain I thought she would lose against a goddess with a powerful domain or would at least need help. I did not expect her to beat Estheia by herself. It seems lucys suit can dissipate energy so I guess goddesses have some advanced technology after all.

Thank you for the review!

Interesting thoughts regarding the extent of empathy Mimi gets from her friends. Iggy has changed her viewpoint somewhat ever since meeting Mimi, so it is unlikely that she is still the same destructive giantess she used to be, but she probably isn't the best emotional support all in all. Good observation on how much the dynamic between Estheia and Layla has shifted, Estheia willingly used Layla even though she even killed quite a few goddesses back in the day, she is definitely paying the price for that decision now.

okay on 15 something really made me realize something i should have far sooner, and its that estheia is a person who cared about goddesses but, in a fit of her never ending rage that formed the cycle, became someone who lived for the purpose of vengeance, though we do see that she cares for goddesses, seeing as how she begged for layla to stop her actions as this will cause death of numerous goddesses.

In contrast to that, chrophemus and lucy, who wants this vicious cycle to end. In chrophemus' case, she is strong, but she does not flaunt her power, willing to be a spectator as she doesnt want to harm humans or goddess, she acts as a peaceful negotiator to humans (ryan), and helps them to reach a peaceful end to this conflict. And in lucy's case, she is more willing to fight for what she deems is right, and if it means harming other goddesses, shes willing to do it. They fight for the same cause but their actions are vastly different from each other, which shows their characteristics to the forefront.

And then we go to mimi, we have heard of mimi since ryan and ryemi's conversation about her, but the information stating that she doesnt want to go back to turning human size because of what she did to a city, really made her... human. She realized her mistake that caused tens if not hundreds of thousands of deaths. Shes unwilling to shrink back, cause she doesnt want to face the people she wronged before, and its a immense weight on her shoulder that she carries, she hasnt lost emotion since becoming a goddess and got intoxicated by power. She feels regret, anger even that she was able to do such horrible thing. Amara knows mimi a lot at this point, and i truly hope that she was the anchor that kept mimi intact in her trying times, cause just the few lines ryemi said alone... She needs them.

melody and jacob are the spitting image of layla and the emperor.. the difference now is that melody has people she can count on in ryan, ryemi, ren, and ithyrminah who i know wont let her astray due to jacobs anger towards goddesses.

And finally... Layla, Shes an intresting person, a person, like mimi, weighed down heavily by her wrongdoings, but... because she didnt have support from people like in melody's or mimi's case to keep them in check, and in face of estheia, was molded into a person she is today...

Lets also have a show for her goddess name, "goddess of solitude"... The state or situation of being alone, she was alone when mira, her maid perished, when her father cared for nothing more than personal gains as she puts planet after planet into submission, she was treated by her father as nothing more but a tool, and like a tool, estheia used her to her advantage as a revenge plot against humanity, she never had people to care for her when she needed it the most, the only person she can trust is.... herself. which is why her power fits her tragic story so much, as making clones of herself says that "she needs no one but herself". She wasnt a person born evil, she was a person who turned evil, an enemy of both humanity and goddess alike due to her past that she carries now to the present.... and we can only hope she can be freed of this loneliness she feels....

This felt more like a character assessment more than anything but F it! i think a assessment of the important actors of the story, but arent specifically the main characters ( minus mimi but i know shes coming soon COPIUM ) as theyre very strongly built characters with backgrounds that you can guess due to the lines weaved in the story, theyre truly great characters and its honestly very scary knowing that i have to write a fanwork of a story that has depth such as this, though i will definitely try my damnedest.

Thanks for the chapter, and i shall wait for the next one!

Thanks for sharing your assessment of the characters!

It is always interesting to see my readers' takes on the characters, it helps me notice other sides of them as well. I added a few of my own thoughts to your analysis, focusing on the parts that really resonated with my own interpretation of the characters. (only referencing past events so as to not include spoilers)

There were many intriguing points that you brought up, such as the one about the parallels between Layla and Melody's situations. While this parallel was made quite obvious in the latest chapter, Layla's 'solitude' being the key difference between their situations was a cool point to bring up about it, highlighting the fact that Melody had more than just her father around her. Melody was loyal to her father, but unlike Layla's case, her father was not her entire world. Dependence on a single individual can lead to a suffocating form of solitude. And now that I'm reading this chapter again, it's even more apt that Melody's domain is Harmony, which is quite a polar opposite to Solitude. (The contrast between Solitude and Harmony was not intended, I was just picking a domain that best fit Melody as a character, but still kinda cool I guess)

For Lucy's case, indecisiveness was her character flaw that was addressed way back in Part 1 of the story. So to show her development, I wanted to display how confident and decisive she became in Part 2, showing how she fights for what she believes in with no hesitation. Your comparison of Lucy and Chrophemus is extremely spot on given that Chrophemus was the one who took Lucy under her wing, meaning that Lucy's indecisiveness back in part 1 largely stemmed from Chrophemus's own passivity and non-confrontational approach. The Lucy in Part 2, driven to change by Ryan in Part 1, has managed to fully shed her past inhibitions(which was partially influenced by Chrophemus).

Wow this was awesome and now I’m curious on how many goddess are there? Layla background is amazing and compelling but I think something will change her mind.

Lucy is goated and melody keeping her words with Mina was perfect. And Jacob seems like  Layla’s father but has more care for his daughter at least a little in my opinion but who knows.

betting it’s Mina on the hill lol.

So four or more chapters left I think wow this climax is going to be amazing

Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

There is quite a finite number of goddesses since Genesis only created them over a span of a couple thousand years. I'm glad that you enjoyed Layla's backstory, it was quite hard to fully flesh out her character in the span of 3 chapters as only a small portion of her origin story was able to be shown.

There are similarities between Melody/Jacob and Layla/Rudith situations, but the characters are also vastly different from each other. Even though Jacob isn't the most likable right now, there are parts of his heart that are in the right place. For Layla's father however, the same definitely can't be said. In many ways, he is the true villain of the entire story, having killed Genesis in addition to driving Layla to her current state.

Without spoiling anything, I went really hard on the ending since I've always felt like the most important(and often best) parts of good giantess narratives is the ending. I really hope that I don't disappoint you when it finally comes.

Do remember to check back sometime next week when we reach the true climax of the story.
