I figure that you already have the plotline of this story mapped out, but something that popped into my mind over the course of these developments as Emma grows larger and larger: If there's a high likelihood that she'll be too big to be bossed around by her captors/guardians/wardens and she'll assert dominance once she reaches a certain size, would they be desperate enough to call in the US military as a last resort if they can no longer keep her in line?

Maybe you already have that factored in. Just something that I've pondered as she grows larger and larger. Good stuff, overall.
