Chapter 3.  Follows along with chapter two but makes you wonder if they had time to make it to the bedroom and climb a table, why not make their way to the safe zone and re-enlarge.  I did like the increased resilience provided by the shrink process to explain how the individuals don't die like expected and continue to suffer longer.
