Decent story so far.
Why does everyone look for the kentic kill? The government needs to take a page out of 'the Rock' and use some VX or organic Hg on Nicole, her metalosism and mass might up the dosage needed , but consider a gram can kill dozens a shot glass worth should be able to put her six feet under.
Both substances appear to be what the body wants, so it takes it in without any defenses. Wont matter how dense the skin is or defenses against poisons that the body attempts to fight, it looks like something the nerves need to transmit so they take it in, unless Nicole kills all her nerves and removes them (unless you go with insanity level 10+ Plot armor) Nicole shakes, quakes, shimmies and DIES after being exposed. Those compounds are ninja's with your key, pin and look like your best friend, by the time something is wrong you have recieved a leathal dose.
Evolution doesn't happen in a vacuum, prehaps having been exposed to the flare and regularly being exposed to their 'partners' phermones and personal radation, the nurse's and cheerleader's handlers slowly become more durable (and a touch stronger) until the women know they can 'survive' them. At which point the girls have thier way with them, only to speed evolution making them and their seed durable enoungh for progeny...

Nicole is far from immortal, even if her change makes her incredibly tough to kill. This is the reason she has been lying low after escaping, because she knows that she needs more than just her strength to eventuallly prevail. I agree that a chemical or organic component could do the trick, even if her metabolism would require a much, much higher dose than the one needed to kill a normal person. For the government, using the gas while Nicole is in the open would be just too bad on the collateral victims side, so they need to subdue her first and kill her later. More on this later.
As for the possibility of this affecting the girl's partners... that's not the way I envisioned the flare to work so... not gonna happen ;)
