Cool chapter but man nobody is safe now in this story it seems…
Jacob last chapter and Sanders this chapter. While Jacob can be sort of sympathized with, Sanders doesn’t get that luxury because what he did was incredibly stupid. I almost face palmed in real life. Did he really think they were not going to twist the truth about what happened? He can’t afford to be this naïve. He got Lindsey, one of the more interesting resistance members, killed for no good reason. Even if her death served to motivate Sanders it shouldn’t have happened in the first place and that is what makes it tragic. The resistance is going to blame him for her death and thus make it harder for them to trust him. Lindsey was really the only one on his side.
Author's Response:
Indeed, they are not. I will admit to toying with offing Sanders once to twice as well, so I would expect anyone and everyone to die if I were you.
Yeah what he did was stupid, but we all make mistakes. Some are bigger than others to be sure, and Sanders was a HUGE one, but maybe he will learn from it and be better for it.
Also, the fact it seemed to bug you so much and make you right out that big long review is exactly why I did. The best stories are tragic.

It's sad to see Lindsey go, but you made her death very useful to the story.
Author's Response:
Thanks. It will come back to haunt more than just Sanders.

"You can't save everyone."
Is that the lesson Lindsey et al. were trying to impart to Jacob, earlier on? Well, that might be true. But, if none of us makes any effort to, at least, save someone, then we become worse monsters than those we fight. Just like Old Fred Nietzche said!
