Why not write it on a word document or something like that then copy and paste it over?
Author's Response: My home computer isn't dot-doc compatible.

Wow awesome start to the story, will be reading more. You should check out the western I'm writing since I am assuming you are a fan of the genre. Who is your favorite western actor?
Author's Response: My top five favorites would be: John Wayne; Randolph Scott; Audie Murphy; Clint Eastwood; and James Garner.* *The latter almost steals the show from the racial tension between Dennis Weaver and Sidney Poitier's characters in DUEL AT DIABLO!

So you brought this one back.
Author's Response: I was simply emulating a master. ;-)

Oh those Varangiants, getting into big trouble wherever they go!
Author's Response: My own little pun on "Varangians." As in; the Swedish Norsemen who served as elite bodyguards to the Byzantine Emperors.

Your stories always have such an authentic feel, I really feel as though I am in the scene itself, wonderful storytelling! You are probably in the top five of active writers on this site!
Author's Response: That is high praise, indeed. Thank you. :-)

Good thing I still recall a bit of Spanish from back in the day. :) Also had to read up a bit on the Starr. Interesting reading about the debate between single vs double action, why some like one over the other. As for Valdez, poor guy, didn’t notice the giantess until too late.
Author's Response: That's why I foot-noted the translations. For those who don't speak SSL.

Did you just watch the '64 classic, 'A fist full of Dollars', Clint Eastwood? The poncho reminded me of that old flick... remember that one?
Author's Response: Of course, I do. I'm even old enough to remember seeing the drive-in premier of his orang-utan movies!* * $7.00 per car; three dollars cheaper than a walk-in bargain matinee, today!
