Doran, a young man from the village of Kelter, has forever lived under the oppressive grip of the Richwood giants. Having trained in secrecy, Doran reaches a mage’s most crucial milestone, their art, but knows it will only attract attention from his oppressors. To evade forced conscription, Doran secretly leaves before anyone discovers his talents.

He is joined by his friend Elly, who has recently been turned to an offgiant, and together they embark to fight the forces that have continuously robbed them and their people of their dignity and freedom.

This story was done as a commission, and takes place in the same setting as my other story, Adventures in Humius and Gintessa.
