One wonders, however, what's happening to the rest of the guys? Are they fed? Do they still go "to school" and are they planning their escape?

Thanks for reading.  I know I haven't referred to the other characters much in a while, but they're in much the same state they were at the beginning of Act III: fed but stripped bare and kept in separate jars at all times.

kind of a no-bullshit approach. You don't underestimate your reader and you
don't elaborate unnecessarily on the environment, but focus on emotion and
experience of the characters involved. You know that we as readers can fill in
the blanks.

Like I said, it’s a unique style and it’s
actually something I might try to emulate in future stories.

Thanks! This story especially is meant to be in a stream-of-consciousness style, so less about the environment and more the semi-erratic thoughts of the main character. It can be a tougher style to follow but I think readers are up to it.

Very unique and interesting approach, this. I also like the shorter format (even though I enjoy your longer stories as well). A very good story, all-in-all.

The ending was a little bit sudden for me, though. I felt that the vore scene and it's aftermath could have been perhaps half a page longer or so.

I'm really enjoying this story. The inital, limited perspective of Josh inside the shoebox builds good tension. The story reminds me, to some extent, of the story "Julia", also found here. Of course, the scenario is a classic one, but both you and the author of "Julia" execute it so well, and it is, after all, all about the execution.


Oh, and this line was gold!

-"...there is no way out of here, well except perhaps through me"

This is a very good start! Nice pacing, not getting caught up in unnecessary detail, but still keeping it interesting. The two main characters seem to have personality, which is great, and I'm looking forward to reading about what darker thoughts lurk beneath the surface of Darcy's conscious mind :)
