I love the story so far.  I love the idea of a society built around genuine foot slavery.  I hope a few things happen.  I hope that the enslavement techniques used by Candy J are adopted by all Shrink Officers, and Tom one day truly, unequivocally, and unabashedly falls in love with either his mother or sister's demanding soles.  I also hope that we focus more on the stomping nature of these women's soles.  These women have beautiful feet, smelly feet, but we also need to look at what it feels like to be cooked underneath a relentlessly stomping foot.  The painful, continuous, remorseless steps and stomps as the beautiful sole above the shrinkee just steps and steps and steps and steps down upon the living-insole thousands of times per day.

Happy to hear!

Actual (unwilling) foot slavery is still illegal in this society, but that doesn't mean that women with connections (for example Candy J) can't bend the rules. Not a terrible idea, not entirely sure yet what path I shall follow regarding Tom and his mom/sister when and if he gets shrunk. 

Don't worry, I shall get more detailed with the experiences of shrinkees, however in this chapter I didn't want to give the shrinkee too much of a perspective. In a chapter where the main perspective belongs to the shrinkee you'll see how bad they have it.
