Count me as an Alaster fan and I shall be sated for awhile, though good luck to him dragging Lemere's unconcious body around.

Started the first chapter this morning on a whim, here I am in the evening polishing off chapter 23 and disappointed I'm out of story! I know you joke about five fans, well you can bump it up to six now.

Author's Response:

Six FANS! I've finally made it to the big leagues. Sincerely though it is always nice to have a new reader who takes the time to comment even once. Thank You.

Summary:

Bradley Peterson was miserably celebrating his 30th birthday, drinking his sorrows of his dying youth away. After passing out in the middle of a park, he wakes up to find himself in the capture of a woman from a planet of massive and highly technical advanced human beings. The woman, Arell, has been watching Earth for centuries, studying the humans there (Earthies, as she calls them) for her people. Given complete freedom to do her work as she pleases, Arell has decided to abandon her observing position for a more hands-on approach. Bradley must now face a seemingly invincible foe to defend his planet!

While it was a bit abrupt have to say I liked the ending, I half guessed at some of the aspects. How such a long life could effect her view of humanity, but was still surprised by the revelation.

Really liked the most recent chapter, Bradley's escape down to pure dumb luck, though at the same time he enough of a backbone to keep running. Hoping he isn't instantly captured next chapter, and can make a decent chase of it.

I'm really liking this world you've crafted so far, I was afraid Lydia would be entirely too innocent when she was first introduced but that was quickly shelved when she showed just how clever she was Ethan's lie not even lasting a few minutes. Can't wait to see what you do from here on out.

Summary:

The beginning of the After Shrink High series. A "What-if" scenario where Chijunda lost to the Director on top of the tower. Despite his best efforts, he runs out of time and all living things are shrunk to 1/100th their size.

The story focuses on one of the newly rebuilt, in a sense, cities, Atlanta, GA, and one of its many Ranger squads. Ranger Squad 5 will find itself thrown right into the middle of the war between the Society and the Resistance. Only to uncover a mystery that may bring to light truths they never meant to find...

Much like Shrink High itself, the story and characters are the bigger focus rather than sex. There will be sex scenes, however. Also, not played/gotten the cliffnotes for Shrink High will not make the story unreadable. I made sure to limit things that you would have to have played Shrink High to get as simple shout-outs/gags. The story assumes you have not played the game and brings you up to speed/explains everything.

Finally all caught up after a few days of reading, really amazing stuff you have going here.

On the most recent chapter, looks like the girls just blew past Sanders, that's fine keeps us on schedule for the showdown back at the base!

While it's clear Lutice is crazy, it's hard to say if it's natural, or a cause of her work, or something else, but her brief bouts of lucidity regarding Sanders are perhaps more disturbing than if she was an out an out villain.

Should be interesting to see where are tiny heroes end up. Looking forward to more.

Author's Response:

Don't want to say much, but I will say I don't generally like out and out villians. They are OK once every so often, but I far prefer a villian that you can kinda see their point of view or at least feel bad about.

There are a few just out right EVIL people in this story, but most are not.

Aviel you clever clever girl had me fooled half way through, then came the suggestion of the catgirl. She was cruel but needed to be otherwise he would have surely been killed on the spot.

one catgirl escaped one very intelligent and over eager catgirl no doubt.

It's a shame Isabella died, but it seems we have a new giant on our side and it seems in order to beat the Society being underhanded might just be the way to do it. Can't wait for ACT 2.

Author's Response:

That...might be an explaination, yes. I will say, like I mentioned to a few others. Remember that Pyrrha had blonde hair where as the catgirl Sanders was facing was black. And he would have recognized Pyrrha.

The underhanded part though...well lets just say the Resistance isn't exaclty going to paragons themselves.

1: I think they do a good bit of world building and are quite informative. I feel so long as you have information that can best be conveyed in this format you should continue with them.

2:  I could take them or leave them for the most part. They certainly don’t hurt, and I will admit Blue following Isabella’s death was pretty fitting.

3: To be honest, being completely ignorant of Shrink High before this, I don’t think it’s especially necessary. Your own characters have been more than compelling enough to warrant my interest.

4: Completely ignorant so I can’t tell, but I can say I’m enjoying the story a lot so far. Any mood shifts at this point would just be weird.

Excellent chapter especially following the previous chapter. Out of all the girls I feel for Stephanie the most, a combination of terrible luck and a terrible friend. The ball bounces a different way and she'd probably be working alongside Claire and the others.

Wow double the impact here. Really have to break my response into two.

Well first the Stephanie bits, which can be summed up in the phrase "And it wasn't fair" which drives to the heart of it. There's a definite jealousy on Stephanie's part and it's heartbreaking. Something along the lines of 'I was a closer size to him and loved him just as much, so why is my brother dead?. Aside from the Omega's just natural advantages it's just bad luck and it is unfair.

Now the other relation, phew that was a big one. It had been implied with Melody and Corey that they wouldn't have much time together but I assumed it was because of Beta life span. NOPE. Wow living forever sounds great on paper until you realize your going to get to watch every non Omega die. No wonder they have to keep their population in check.

It really amps up the tragic aspect, and makes the reason for the library clear. Compared to what will be almost an eternity for Claire's life Corey's life will be a blip. It's damn important that she never forget him and cherish him while he's around.

@sketch

A helpless sympathetic girl....who left Jenna's friend a crippled heap on the ground because she could. :p

Really I'm joking though. I can fully understand from a reader's point of view why it's easier to sympathize with Naomi. We actually don't even know the full extent of the crime and Naomi's role in it till she's already been introduced. If the first chapter had been from Corey's point of view during the assault it probably would be the reverse.

Still me and team Jenna will fight the good fight. :D

I feel I’m the one lone fan of Jenna at this point lol. Maybe I just can’t work up righteous indignation of her working over serial killers and rapists, or maybe it’s because her actions on screen are usually tame and all of her more violent actions are implied.

I mean this chapter her actions were

1: Pointing out that Naomi’s actions weren’t that much different than the boys from ch. 16.

2: Be concerned about someone who committed assault/attempted murder be allowed near children after only a month.

How are either of these positions wrong or at all controversial?

I feel without Jenna it would be too easy to forget that yes Naomi helped beat Corey nearly to death and left him to die.

Author's Response:

That's pretty much been my running thought re: how things would be without Jenna. Naomi's sweet and remorseful enough that people kind of want to overlook what she did (even I'm guilty of this). Even Claire has been lulled in by that, and she truthfully has even more justification for being mean as shit compared to Jenna. Naomi needs someone that will hold her to what she did and disallow her from becoming complacent - someone who will challenge her to be a better person.

Pretty chilling account, I'm assuming this is part of Naomi's ongoing education. Next chapter should be interesting as at this point we've seen some of Jenna's sadistic tendencies, but also seen her softer side.

It's also worth remembering that even though Naomi fully regrets her actions, she wasn't much different than the boys in this chapter.

Here I was thinking this chapter would solve some unanswered issues (and it did) but it managed to raise so many more! Alright what we learned, Corey and Claire’s mother was a beta originally. Kayla was an Alpha originally. So whatever event happened it didn’t depend on size. Given what was said about Beta rights Alexis’ family were likely Alphas before they ascended (and may have been the ones championing them as pets).

We also get an answer to omega age question. I guess at some point Omegas just stop aging as up until now Claire and Corey have grown up together. Must be weird knowing that Corey is biologically older than his step mom now…

Of course the opening created so many more! Something tells me we saw the ending to a much larger narrative play out there.

As for the three shillings my best bet would be someone like Dr. Manhattan (Watchman) who more or less became a god, though a less attentive god than Kayla.

Author's Response:

Good call on the status of Alexis' family, though we'll have to see about the pet thing.

And well, he was going to out-age her from a biological perspective sooner or later.

You just might have :)

No shillings, though you have the right idea in looking at a drawn medium. I'm not really expecting anyone to guess it simply because the property may as well be a niche one in English-speaking countries.

A chapter than answers more questions that it raises? *gasp*

Seriously this did a great job of once again answering several questions, and building the world at large, without going into an exposition onslaught.

There’s really enough background material that could fill a few stories.  The ordeal/origin of course being one, but Corey’s father’s background seems quite interesting as well.

Not too many questions raised this time though I do wonder why there was such a gap between the rise of the Omegas (going by Marshall’s age, since Graham died before omegas ascended,  I’d say somewhere about 70 years ago) and Kayla allowing them to mate (seemingly around 20 years ago).  Given the Omegas are incredibly long lived I do wonder about potential overpopulation if they keep having kids.
