I'm a Connecticut Yankee from the Northwest Corner of the Nutmeg State. I was born in 1959, which makes me a reasonably hygienic middle-aged man (as opposed to a dirty old one; lol!). It also makes me an avid science fiction buff, as I grew up reading Silver Age comics and watching now-vintage sci-fi TV shows. Also, a moderate collector of same.

Bravo! Not only for the informative epilogue. But, also, for the hint at a possible (nwo?) sequel.

I was sad to read about Claudia's depression. Unfortunately, not all families are real-life versions of THE BRADY BUNCH or THE WALTONS. And, more's the pity; isn't it?

Author's Response:

Yeah. I knew that the ending would be what one would call "happy", so I had to put a few downers in there to prevent it from being all flowers and bubbles.

But yeah. I plan to do a sequel (eventually; I have more planning to do with that) and a sidestory. I'm also contemplating a retelling of this story, except completely in the POV of Melissa.

Author's Response: Thanks for your reading and support. I'm still undecided as to what his fate might be. He seems to have become somewhat superfluous to the needs of the story, so he may meet that fate sooner rather than later. Then again, perhaps he needs new attention.

She needed a new direction. So, somebody told her "Go West, Young Goddess." And, she went westward across the Pacific...to the former New Hebrides Islands. I have wonder, though, what her next stop will be. Japan, maybe?

I can see it now. "Toho Studios presents: Steve Martin as intrepid American newsman Raymond Burr! See him on the shores of Tokyo Bay, reporting live, as the American giantess emerges from the ocean. And, the Japanese Self-Defense Force commences firing!"
