Bio:
I'm a Connecticut Yankee from the Northwest Corner of the Nutmeg State. I was born in 1959, which makes me a reasonably hygienic middle-aged man (as opposed to a dirty old one; lol!). It also makes me an avid science fiction buff, as I grew up reading Silver Age comics and watching now-vintage sci-fi TV shows. Also, a moderate collector of same.

"Half-Mexican/half-English?" Would that make him Belizean, by any chance?

Translation: I'm suitably hooked. Bring on chapter 4, asap. ;-)

Author's Response:

I think it would make him.......half mex. and half engl. Lol. I'm glad I've got you hooked on this story. I had some pretty awesome ideas and needed to compose them. So I did (no suprise). Thanks for your comment!

Well, if he and SONYA are headed for Hong Kong, maybe the lunch Jet ought to "do" is Chinese take-out (lol)!

Seriously, though: your build-up is nice and slow, which is a rarity on websites like this. Some authors like to get to the shrunken man, or gigantized woman, right away. And, half the time, without explanation!

You, though, are among the growing number of exceptions to that rule. And, I thank you for it.

Author's Response:

Thank you for your kind words. Yes, in this story I decided to defy the usual trend. I hated how most of the stories had no plot, no description, and overall no point. Oh, i almost forgot. Well......if they're going to China......why not eat Chinese once they're there? Best authentic Chinese food in the world, lol. Or, so I heard.....

Wow! Nice to see this was continued at some website.

Author's Response:

Woah, wait a minute. SOME website? Uh, I only put it on this one. Someone's copiying my work, or someone's posting it up without my consent. Kinda creepy if that's true. But yeah, I finally got the time to finish a bit more on that story, and im glad i did. The views on it are racking up!

Let's keep rooting for its undeniable sucess!

Well, with the Internation Date Line, lunchtime in Hong Kong would probably be a literal midnight snack in Frisco. I just hope Mr. Slate's appetite isn't curbed by..."Jet" lag.

Ba-DUM-boom!

Lol! I think Kelly Monteith (a blonde, blue-eyed George Carlin from Canada, very popular on JOHNNY CARSON, during the Seventies) said it best, when he mimicked that coffee commercial.

"For night owls, 'the best part of waking up is just...waking...up!' "

WOW! I don't think I've read a new-world-order piece that was even remotely similar to this.

Let me see if I have this straight. Giant humans (aka Dominants) can only have children through sex with short humans (aka Submissives). And, sex between Subs is forbidden because it only produces infertile offpsring?

Wildly, brilliantly innovative!

Author's Response: Thank you, I\'m really glad that you enjoy it! You basically hit the nail on the head with the concept of the story: in this world people of different sizes are able to procreate, while people of the same size can\'t, and the act of doing so is strictly forbidden. I\'m glad in a way that you figured it out because due to the unique nature of the story, characters, setting and such I didn\'t want to completely reveal everything. I wanted to tell the story in THAT world, not from our world looking in, so that in a way not much is explained, but in a subtle way it is. I hope that you continue to read it as I have a lot more twists and turns left to tell!

Submitted for our approval: the story of a man who found out that being a big man with little time left might have been preferable to being a little man with all too much time on his hands.

Said lesson learned too little/too late in...the Corona Zone. Doot-doo-doo-doot! Doot-doo-doo-doot!

One nitpick, though: a true acronym is a word _formed_ by initials (example: U.N.E.S.C.O.) Anything else is just a plain initialism. And any phonetic pronounciation of same is neologistic slang (example: "lurp;" derived from L.R.R.P---Long Range Reconnaisance Patrol).

Author's Response: Oops! I guess Dave wasn't aware of that when he was narrating the story ;-)

"...as if he might be spotted over the phone..." Lol!

With today's a.v. tech, that's all too-possible. Assuming, of course, that Carolyn's parents could even _afford_ a cellular videophone.

I know I can't! :-)

Author's Response: If Carolyn's parents are anything like mine, they probably still have trouble figuring out how to work their answering machine.

Even though I half-expected the parental shrinkage, I didn't expect Cecile to go the way she did.

Masterful plot-twisting, dude!

Author's Response: Thanks! I knew I wouldn't surprise anyone with the shrinking of Carolyn's parents, so I had to throw *something* in to stir it up =)
