Welcome to the Forest of Slaughter By: Walkingdude225

“Welcome to the Slaughter” was the battle cry that floated in the village air. Sr. James looked around the blood covered village that he and his knighthood was about done razing to the ground. His Grand Master of his knighthood was cut off heads of children at will. His Knight Commander was raping to death the last maiden of the village. Sr. James’ Sergeant-at-arms was piling head in to a massive fire. As Sr. Christopher and Sr. William were looting any thing that was not getting burned. Sr. James himself was impaling headless bodies on pikes around the village. Their knighthood was sent by the king Glouth (who was one of the kings of the Everlasting kingdoms).  The purpose was to kill off the entire village because the village was against the taboo of the mixing of the human blood. The village had both humans and dwarves living with each other in peace. It took an hour to raze the village; after they had killed everyone in sight the Grand Master raised a head in the air and screamed “For king Glouth!” The knighthood joined in the battle cry.

After the carnage was done; the knights started to pack up and leave for the castle of king Glouth. Sr. William was packing loot on to his horse as the rest of the knights getting ready to ride off. The Grand Master then raised his sword and reared his horse up and raced off; the rest followed. Sr. James looked back at the village; it was strange. He felt that he was being watched; but, he knew there was no one still alive to see them. Also the king would then cover it up and blame elves for the attack. Still he felt uneasy about this feeling and then he just started to ride off towards his fellow knights. Yet, Sr. James feeling kept with him as they rode into the wilderness.

As they traveled across the woods each of the knights reflected on the killing. All of the knights had no mercy for the poor souls they killed with joy in their hearts. All of the sudden The Grand Master called for the convoy to stop. The rest stop in a flash “What is going on?”  The Knight Commander asked the Grand Master.  “Look, you fool” the Grand Master pointed to the path; which was blocked by a huge tree in the way. Sr. Christopher asked “Is there another way towards the castle?” The Grand Master looked at him. “No, you fool were struck here for the night; till we can turn around!” “Why can’t we turn around right not?” William asked with his dim witted voice. The Grand Master roared “Because we can’t ride in night; if anyone sees us we might look guilty of something!” He looked around “I guess were sleeping out here tonight men; so set camp!”

So it came to pass that the knight slept around a fire pit with the horse tied to a close tree. It was late in the night when Sr. Christopher heard the horses getting spooked by something in the shadows. He opened his eyes to see an unseen mass gnawing on their horse. Sr. Christopher was filled with horror as he picked up his axe and ran towards the concealed being. The mass looked up with jade eyes; then, carried of the horses in its arms. Sr. Christopher started to give chase; but, after awhile he knew it was useless and gave out a battle cry.  The rest of the knights woke up “What’s going on; you swine!” growled the Knight Commander. Sr. James cried out “Look the horses have been taken!”

The knights questioned Sr. Christopher for amount of time. After that they fell silent with dread. What could sneak upon them and start eating their horse while they slept? What could out run Sr. Christopher who was called “Chris the Quick?” Every knight stood there in silence till The Sergeant-at-Arms checked on what was left of the horse by the being (which was not much). “We must get out of this forest at first sight of dawn; before, this thing comes back for us this time.” Said The Sergeant-at-Arms with his hand covered in the blood of the horse.  The knights agreed and for the rest of the night the knights kept to the fire as they held their weapons close. Fear kept the knights from sleep for the rest of the night.

At dawn the knights packed up and headed out; back towards the village the destroyed the day before. Nothing strange happened that morning and the knights felt easier.   Then when they stopped for lunch; the Knight Commander decided to hunt for deer. He went off away from the other knights as he looked for deer. Then he saw a young buck near some brush. The Knight Commander took out his long bow and aimed the bow towards the buck. Then with out warning he heard something behind him. He turned around and saw something that made his heart stopped. This thing that stood behind him made him shake in pure horror. There was nothing he could do but to give out a high bloody curdling scream.

At the rest site the other knights quivered with terror as they heard the scream. They ran towards the scream as it fell silent; they came to the spot where they lasted heard the scream and saw the ground covered in dark red blood. At first they did not know what to make of it. Then they saw the Knight Commander’s long bow. The Grand Master held the bow in his trembling hands. Then cried out in rage “Ill kill you beast; kill you!” as The Grand Master fell to the ground weeping for his brother (The Knight Commander). After he regains his composer he got up and looked at his knight “Men, lets get out of this hellish wilderness!” They followed him towards the village.

The knights walked on the path in silence in fear of what was out there. After awhile Sr. William was walking behind everyone then with out warning he stepped into a pit. He screamed as he fell into the pit. The rest of the knights ran towards the pit they encircled the pit which held Sr. William. He tried to climb out without avail. Then from behind the knights out of the thick trees came the sound of thunder coming towards the knights. They looked at their poor friend and ran for their lives. The Sergeant-at-Arms; however, ran back to help his friend. Sr. James call for him to come back; yet, the Sergeant-at-Arms charged the being with his mace. Sr. James ran with the others towards the village. The Sergeant-at-arms meanwhile ran towards the sounds till he came to the pit which held Sr. William. He stopped in his tracks for he saw the being pick Sr. William and put him in a sack. The being looked at the Sergeant-at-Arms with a wicked smile as it walks towards him. He dropped the mace on the ground and huddled into a ball.

As the others reached the village they stopped in horror. The bodies that had left to be feed on by the rats were gone. The knights looked all around   to find where they went. Then Sr. James saw in a near by hill were fresh graves that must have held the bodies of those they had murdered and raped. They looked at each other and then it hit them. At that moment the knights knew what had been hunting them; they shudder at the thought. “No, no this can’t be true she is myth; she can’t be real” The Grand Master called out in distress.  Sr. Christopher looked at the Grand Master “but she is real, she is the last in a blood line of noble giants that ruled these lands before our wicked human king. The giant princess that now hunts those who come to her forest in the name of the blood thirsty king.”  Sr. James grabbed Sr. Christopher “You mean to tell me that the story of Gytha is real?!” Sr. Christopher only looked at him “Of course, I should know; I was the one who raped and murdered her mother. While she watched from a hill near by when she was just a child” Sr. Christopher said in a low cold voice.

Then from behind them they heard something leaning on a long house. They turned to see a beautiful young (about 20 looking) female Blunderbore (a giant race common to these lands) leaning on the building. Her eyes burned with jade colored fire of rage for vengeance and sadness of pain. The three knights ran for their lives. She just laughed and stepped over the long house and planted her sandaled right foot in front of the knight paths. The three scattered to different directions of the ghost village. Gytha start to give chance knowing that it was only a matter of time till they were hers.

Sr. Christopher ran towards the right of the village. The knight ran hard and fast as he could. He hid in a long house he then relaxed think he lost the giantess. Sr. Christopher then sat near the hearthstone and started to eat from what was left in the pot. Just then the roof flew off, and Sr. Christopher heard the voice call out “She trusted you!” The knight turned to see Gytha above him with tears in her eyes. “She was your friend, you were family! How dare you!” Gytha roared as she reached for Sr. Christopher. All the knight could do was whimper and sunk to the floor.

The Grand Master ran north; tears of pure terror start to pour from his soul. He never turned back as he ran; then, a large sandaled foot blocked his path. He was running so fast that the Grand Master fell over the foot. He looked up to see Gytha staring at the Grand Master. “You who lead men in a knighthood my farther were proud of and died for. You chose to hurt people under the flag of my kin…how dare you!” The Grand Master did not answer only start to crawl away. Only to be dragged of by Gytha.

Sr. James ran towards the left of the village. He was running so hard and so fast. That he did not noticed a net trap in his path.

The trap set off and Sr. James went flying up in the air. The knight tried hard to fight out of the net. Then he heard the ground shake; Gytha walked next towards the net. The two were eye to eye with each other. For a long awhile no one spoke; they just stood there. Just then Sr. James broke the silence “Why, are you doing this to us?”  Gytha’s eyes start to fill with tears “Why, why did have to kill an entire village!” Sr. James just hanged there in shock

“What is this village to you? It’s not like you care for these people; did we kill of your cattle to eat?” Gytha just reached for Sr. James and squeezed slowly in her hand. “These people were not cattle these were people and beings that lived in peace. I watched over this village and the others near by from killers like you and your friends!” Sr. James was frozen in fear at the fear of what had happened to the rest of the knights in his order. He saw a cage I her other hand. In this cage was the rest of the order. The young giantess opened the lid and dumped Sr. James into his cage. The young giantess looked into the cage and smiled. Gytha started to walk to her cave. As she walked into to her cave the knights wondered what would happen to them.

All of a sudden the cage is sat down hard on to a table. “Hey what are you going to do to us?” Gytha only reply was to open the lid of the cage a reach into it. With her hand Gytha grabbed Sr. James and the Grand Master and lifted them up towards her face. She then opened her mouth and dropped the two into her mouth. Then with a snap of her jaws the two knights rolled around in her mouth for what seem like hours then titled her head back and swallowed the two down. The Knight Commander screamed in terror as Gytha smiled “That was just to sample I got stew ready for the rest.”

Gytha then stood up and walked towards a pot and scooped out of stew. She then walked towards the knights and sat down again. She then scopes all but Sr. Christopher and drooped then into the stew. One by one all in the bowl pass between Gytha lips and travel down into her belly. After the meal she took Sr. Christopher and place on the table. He knew what was going to happen next.

Gytha start to weep and look straight at him “Why did you betray my family and why rape my mother.” He thought about for a minute then answered the only way he could.  “Because I have a bloodlust in me that dose not limit myself. You have been taught to wage a noble and just battle. I have been breed to be a monster with a sword in any war.” He added “Kill if you will, I am not afraid it would be an honor to have my life taken by a warrior that truly has honor in battle.

Then with out no word Gytha picked him up and tossed him into her mouth; with a

gulp she had killed the very monster that had killed her mother. Now all there is to

do today is to walk to the local village of Creekwater and tell the Saviors of the

knight’s raid and tell them that the monsters that took loved ones have seen

justice in her belly.
