Author's Chapter Notes:
An older story of mine that I plan to continue.
Sophie opened the door carefully, having to balance the four heavy
grocery bags as she used the tips of her fingers to push the key into the
lock, turn it, and nudge the door open. Seeing that the kitchen light was
on she called out. “Ned? Little help?” She shuffled into the kitchen and
made for the little apartment’s nearest countertop, putting down the bags
with a huff. “Ned?”

Shaking her head, Sophie caught her breath. “Just like him…”

She heard a muffled little voice behind her. Turning around, she saw Ned
and screamed, falling backwards against the counter, bracing herself with
her hands.

Though it registered that it was in fact Ned lying naked on the
ground, thick red ribbons wrapped around him as if he was a
present—bows and everything—he looked so odd that she didn’t know
how to react. It was hard to tell from her vantage, but Ned appeared to
only be a foot tall. His presentation was elaborate and it was clear that he
could not have done it himself. His ankles were fastened as well as his
hands behind him, but ribbons were also wrapped around his midsection,
covering him up, his neck like a collar and his mouth like a gag. Under
Ned’s body was a box as long as he was with a piece of padding on top of
him, almost as if whoever did this was worried for Ned’s comfort. At first
he had been struggling against his bonds, but seeing as she was there
now he calmed down and waited for her.

Sophie rushed over to her boyfriend and knelt down before him. “Oh
baby, what happened?”

She undid the bow of the gag gently and pulled the ribbon away.
Ned stuck his tongue out with a small noise and shook his head.

“Boy, was that ever an experience!” His voice sounded funny. Not
higher, but softer, as if he wasn’t quite so close.

“What happened, honey?” She ran a hand through his short hair,
marveling at just how big it was to him now. It would be more than
possible for her to enclose his entire head in her fist.

“I don’t know… I really don’t. I was on my way home from work and
all of a sudden I felt really dizzy. I figured I’d just get home and lie down,
but… I just remember falling out onto the driveway.”

Sophie eyed her boyfriend curiously. “Someone must have broken
in, then! What if they’re still here?” For an instant Sophie thought of
sharing the same fate and she shuddered. At a foot tall he looked rather
pathetic.

“I’ve been lying here a while, babe. I think the place is empty.”

They looked at one another for a moment.

“So, hey, Sophie… How about untying me?”

“Oh, right!”

Sophie undid the knots around his wrists and ankles. “I better leave
this one on, huh?” She asked, pointing at the one around his waist.

He sat up atop the box and rubbed his sore wrists. “Well, with the air
conditioning up so high…”

She giggled. “Shouldn’t you be scared, Ned? You’re so tiny!”

“Scared of what?” He stepped off of the box and took in the sight of
his giant girlfriend. She had long brown hair which spilled down over her
shoulders and back and was wearing a pink t-shirt with jeans and
flip-flops. Her brown eyes looked worried. “I got my big bad girl to protect
me now!”

She put a large hand on his shoulder and clamped down. He
marveled at how much softer her hand felt—how much thicker. She pulled
him closer and gave him a warm hug.

“Goddamn, Sophie,” he murmured against her stomach. Everything
about her was so extremely soft and comfortable, though he could feel
her lean muscles underneath. “This feels incredible.”

Sophie chuckled and drew him away. “Don’t get too used to it. Don’t
you want me to take you to a hospital?”

“Ah right, good idea.” Ned turned around, hands on his hips.

Sophie’s eyes dipped down toward his cute little ass and for a
moment she almost considered dragging him into the bedroom. Curiously
she wondered if he’d survive the encounter.

“Say… What do you think is in this chest?”

Ned looked funny as he approached the big box, tied up in his
impromptu ribbon attire. Like a child getting ready to raid a cookie jar.
She reached forward and pinched one of his cheeks and he yelped.

“Whoa, hey! What was that?”

She grinned.

Ned held her gaze for a moment before turning back to the chest,
rubbing his ass. He flinched again as she scooted forward, her knees
coming up on either side of him. He felt a lot smaller then, tucked against
her like that. Her shadow only made it worse.

Above him she hummed happily. “So, let’s see what we got here!”

“Honey, be careful!” Ned said, suddenly feeling a few misgivings
about the foot wide chest.

She undid the fastenings and popped the thing open. “What the…”

Inside the chest were all kinds of things packed carefully one on top
of the other. It didn’t instantly register what each thing was and Sophie
instead reached in for the note that sat at the top of the pile. It read:

“When you finally open this you’ll probably have found your man already.
If you didn’t, look down! He’ll be around somewhere. I’ll make this brief.
I saw you two fighting across the street one afternoon and I thought I’d
tip the scales in your favor. Don’t worry, it isn’t permanent (unless you
want it to be), at the end of a week he’ll be back to normal. He’s going to
get a lot smaller before then, though—down to about an inch. If a week
isn’t long enough to put him in his place, give me a call. Good luck!”

There was a phone number and everything. It was signed Danielle.

“Is this for real?” Sophie asked, breathing excitedly.

“What’s it say, Sophie?”

“A lady saw us fighting the other day. It looks like she did this to
you.”

Ned looked at the ground for a moment, suddenly tense. The
fight—it was actually a rather bitter one and he hoped that they wouldn’t
have to relive it. They hadn’t been able to resolve it, but ever since they
had been dodging the issue.

“Did she say if there’s a way to undo this?”

Sophie was looking at the wall as if deep in thought. After a moment
she began moving, putting the note back into the chest.

“Sophie, babe, can I see the note?”

She dipped another hand in and began to rummage around.

“You don’t want me to move in…” She muttered.

“This really isn’t a good time…”

“And you won’t commit.” Sophie glared down at him. “Why not, Ned?
Why not? Am I not enough for you?”

“Babe… You know I like you.”

She pulled something out of the chest—a long chain with a strip of
leather at the end. Ned eyed it nervously.

“You’ve ‘liked’ me for five years.”

She pinched her knees together, pinning him between her legs.
Deftly she pulled the loop of leather around his neck and fastened it—it
was adjustable, she noticed. She ignored his protests and stood, towering
over him as he stood just under her knees. Ned looked up the long legs of
his girlfriend to her narrow waist, small breasts, and thin shoulders. He
tried to look at her face, but couldn’t.

He was stunned. “A… a leash?”

The next sound he heard was that of her flip-flop slapping up against
her sole as she took her first step away from him. After a second and a
third the chain went taut and Ned was dragged a step with a choking
cough. He thought once she heard it, she’d stop, but he was tugged off his
feet as she went on unimpeded toward the couch in the living room. She
nearly dragged him as he stumbled to stay with her.

“Sophie, god, what the hell?”

She sat on the sofa and looked away for a moment. Then, her eyes
steel, she leveled her gaze upon him. “Things are going to be different for
a while around here, Ned. We need to talk.”
