"Jason. . . Jason!"

Jason opened his eyes to see Mya crouching over him, with a worried look on her face. He scrambled back immediately, but a twinge in his ribs stopped him in his tracks.

Thoughts of last night came to him, and the torture she had put him through. Holding his chest he continued to crawl backward.

"Jason, would you just stop for a minute please and let me help you?" She persisted holding her hand out.

"Why would you want to help me after what you did?" Jason screamed at her.

"Is. . . Is this about threatening to squeeze your head? Because I'm so sorry for that! I. . . I lost control for a second but I promise, promise, PROMISE it will never happen again!" Mya pleaded with him, sitting on the floor and stretching her legs out.

"Threatened? You fucking squeezed me for a half hour before you locked me in some box!"

A confused look appeared on Mya's face as she heard him say this.

"Jason. . . I think you fell off the dresser and bumped your head. What time do you think it is?" She said calmly, controlling the situation.

He refused to take his eyes off her, but he did notice that she was wearing the same outfit as the night before.

Not willing to listen, Mya sighed and stuck her wrist out to him. He flinched, then quickly glanced at her watch. 10:45 p.m.

"We just got back from the grocery store Jason. I found you lying on the floor unconscious by my dresser. Judging from the distance, I think you tried to jump from the top and didn't make it."

Jason blushed, seeing the logic in her words and the stupidity in his actions.

"I did threaten you, and I can't say I'm sorry enough, but whatever you think you saw after that, was all in your over-active imagination." Mya said, again holding her hand out.

Jason took a deep breath, looking around for any signs that she might be deceiving him. He found nothing. Slowly he limped forward, and collapsed into Mya's hand.

She rolled her eyes as she slid over and leaned back against her bed. She began to knead his chest, putting things back into place.

"(Sigh) how is it that you continuously get me to rub you down?" She asked smiling slightly at the tiny boy in her palms. " I really hate this motherly shit you know! And you did disobey me! One of these days, you're going to return the favor aren't you? Rub my feet for a change?" She asked, poking him lightly in the back of the head.

"Mmmmm, I can't hear you Mya." Jason said quietly with his eyes closed as he continued to enjoy his massage, a slight smirk forming on his face.

"Ugh! Fine then, you little twerp! We're done here.!" Mya huffed as she placed him on the ground. "And you can walk yourself out to see the rest of your friends." She finished, laughing as she walked out of her room and down the hall.

"Shit!" Jason said to himself as he began to jog after Mya.

He followed the noise, and eventually came to a room on his right. He went through the doorway and there he saw Rachel, Clyde, Mya, Steve and Malcolm sitting around on couches. Clyde spotted him and lifted him to the arm of the couch.

"Yo, Malcolm, Steve!" Clyde said loudly, everyone getting quiet. "We need to show you something, but you need to promise you won't freak out, and you need to promise you won't tell anyone. . ."

"O. . Ok?" Steve said, a little unsure.

Malcolm only nodded.

"Ok. . . This is the reason why Emily was our target tonight. There is a lot more to the story, that we aren't going over, but here it is."

He lifted his hand, revealing Jason standing on the arm of the couch.

"Fuuuck!" Malcolm said, rubbing his afro in disbelief.

Steve just got close and stared, wide eyed.

The group discussed the situation for 20 minutes before they remembered why they were all there.

Steve worked his magic, setting up his cameras feed to Mya's home tv. It took a second but eventually the image of Mertle's grocery loading area appeared. Jason's eyes were glued to the screen as the video began to play. He watched as Emily and her friends pulled into the yard and locked the gate.

Jason turned to look up at Clyde, who had a nervous look as he watched the screen. He looked away as he watched them approach him.

"This part was so cool! Mya chimmed in as Rachel yelled down from the roof.

Steve was working the camera angles, and got a side view of Clyde as he ran and slid under the door before Malcolm closed it.

Next was the grand finale as a camera caught Mya and Rachel swing the bomb and let it fly. Steve dialed up slow motion as the bomb drifted off the edge and down on the unsuspecting heads below. He replayed it several times as the bomb went off, instantly coating all the lower cameras in white.

Jason couldn't help but smile as the drone footage picked up, and got in everyone's faces as wails and cries filtered through the paste. Finally the drone circled around to Emily. Everyone watched intently as she began to scream at Clyde before throwing up. Rachel, Steve, and Malcolm laughed their asses off at this point.

Mya noticed that both Clyde and Jason were frozen in place as Emily was on screen. Mya studied them, watching their reaction to her primal scream. She could see it. . . . Legitimate fear. Clyde squirmed uncomfortably and Jason covered his ears, although no one else seemed to notice.

The video finished up and they laughed about it for a bit before Malcolm and Steve got ready to leave.

"I'm going to do some more editing, then I will send you guys the finished product." Steve said, packing up his gear.

"Can we get some of those wacky sound effects over the slips?" Rachel asked, laughing

"I'll see what I can do." He replied with a smile as he and Malcolm got up to leave.

"I don't think it would be wise to be in school tomorrow. Play sick or do whatever you need to do. Good luck." Mya said as she led the boys to the door and then went to get blankets for Clyde and Rachel.

She got back to the basement, and gave them the blankets. She showed them where the bathroom was before she went to her room to change into her pajamas. She came back in wearing an outfit eerily similar to what Jason had seen her in before. She stood in the doorway as her guests got settled in.

"Umm. . . Jason?" She asked quietly

"Yeah?"

"Can I uhh, can I talk to you for a bit?" She inquired, definitely nervous.

Jason had red lights flashing in his heads, but he felt that if Mya wanted him, she would get him one way or another.

"Clyde, listen to me! If I'm not back in 20 minutes, make up some excuse to check on me! I'm dead serious."

"Jeez! Ok dude. Calm down!"

"Alright Mya." Jason said loudly, signalling her to pick him up. He looked back at his friends as he was carried away by a girl he wasn't entirely sure wouldn't try to kill him. She brought him to her room and set him on the night table next to her bed, before climbing under her covers.

"Ok Jason, can you talk to me about what you saw me do to you in your. . . . Vision. . . Or dream? Better yet, what WAS the whole vision.

Jason only stood shivering as he thought about it, partially from the cold, partially from fear.

"Do you keep it cold enough in here!?" He asked as he rubbed his arms.

"What? I get warm when I sleep! The sooner you tell me what happened, the sooner you can go!" She answered, giving him a smug look from under the covers, before closing her eyes and just listening.

Jason glared at her before he got an idea. He jumped across to the bed, and burrowed under the covers. Mya shrieked as she felt his tiny body touch her. She pulled back the covers just in time to see Jason climbing on to her stomach.

"Umm, no. I don't think so." She said, giving him a look of challenge.

"The sooner I get warm, the sooner I tell you what happened." Jason replied, laying down belly to belly with her, taking in her body heat and instantly relaxing.

"You are such a little brat, you know that!" Mya said, rolling her eyes. "You are out of here as soon as you're done telling me! No exceptions twerp!" She added light heartedly as she dimmed the lights and layed back, feeling Jason's tiny heartbeat against her stomach.

Completely content, Jason began to tell her what his "vision" was. For better or worse he left nothing out, explaining how he had snuck into her dad's office and logged into his computer. He told her of Brooklyn and Anthony, and what they had been made to do. Through it all, Mya just listened with her eyes closed, no doubt imagining everything he was describing. He finished with that section of the story, and was quiet for a moment.

"Mya?" He asked, keeping his head down, just relaxing and enjoying her company.

"Hmm?" She responded, not even opening her eyes.

"Does any of that sound true? Please don't lie." Jason asked, his voice suddenly feeling small.

She was quiet, gathering her thoughts before she spoke.

"Well. . . My parents ARE scientists, but I'm pretty sure you already knew that. Neither my mom or my dad are into genetics though. Your dad would really be the one to ask about that. . . . . As for this "Brooklyn and Anthony". . . . We can run a search tomorrow for them. See if they exist. . . . If they ARE missing, and have been since the late 2000's, then you might very well be on to something. To tell you the truth, to me it sounds like your mind running wild. You have been working on your yearbook theory, and it may have just spilled over into something more when you hit your head."

Jason was disappointed to hear that, but he knew Mya was a creature of logic, and that theories like this, weren't likely to peak her interest.

"Can you tell me what happened next?" Mya asked politely.

Jason continued on, getting through the part where Mya had captured him. He stopped there, getting tired and about to pass out, when he felt Mya's stomach start to heave slightly. Things were quiet briefly before Mya spoke.

"Ja-jason. . . " Mya said, her voice sounded horse and broken.

"I. . . I need to tell you something."

Jason could tell now that she was crying.

"Mya, whatever it is. . . It's ok."

"It's. . . It's really not Jason! It was Sunday when I came to see you. . . When I took you down to your father's lab. I. . . I was going to let myself go! Just turn my brain off and do whatever I felt like doing to you!" Mya bawled, clutching Jason to her chest.

"Mya please! Seriously it's ok! " Jason shouted trying to get her attention.

She held him up to her face, just looking at him with tears in her eyes.

"Jason. . . . I. . . I have a side of me. . . A side I'm not proud of." She said finally.
