Author's Chapter Notes:

Hello again. I hope you guys don't mind, not everything I submit is gonna be particularly 'stimulating'. But this section made me smile while I was writing it. I dunno, it's good fun.

'Stan? You okay there, little guy?'
He wouldn't move.
She nudged him with her finger. When she let go, his body simply
shifted back to where it was before.
'Was I too hard on him?' asked Morgan.
'Well, I think we all have been.'
'There was no real danger, right? He's uncrushable.'
They all looked at each other, deflated.
'So, what do we do now?'
'Stan, c'mon, little buddy. Don't do this to us.'
He stayed motionless.
'Guys, this is no fun.'
'I know, I know. I wasn't counting on this happening.'
'He's doing it on purpose; he knows that he's sucking the fun out
of this.'
'He's listening to every word we're saying. Look: he's still
playing dead.'
'How do we get him to stop?'
She picked Stan up and placed him in the palm of her hand. She
stood up to her full height.
'Stan, could you please say something?'
I couldn't see him from where I was standing. Everyone else was
watching Stan in the girl's hand.
'Did we scare you just now?' she asked him.
I couldn't hear what he was saying, but it made Raven 'Ohh' empath-
etically.
'We were just having fun. We never wanted you to get hurt.'
I think he started to cry.
'Stan, I have an idea. If you want, we could switch places and
make you big for a while. That way, you can vent your emotions on
us because we'll be so small. How does that sound?'
I looked around at their faces. They didn't seem too bothered by
the idea.
'Sure, we'll make both of you big.'
She put Stan on the floor at her feet. He was standing on both feet
now, looking up at them.
'Are you ready?'
She pointed at us.
Suddenly, the ceiling looked a lot closer than it was before. I
brought my gaze back down and saw Stan, looking surprised; his eyes
were red and teary. I looked down and saw six little people standing
where the girls just were.
'Oh, no, guys! Stan's giant!'
'Aaaah!' they all screamed playfully.
Their voices sounded high-pitched and cartoony; they probably threw
that into the spell they cast on themselves for our benefit.
'Run away!'
They all started running towards the walls in different directions.
I watched, genuinely amused by their antics. Stan just had his eyes
to the floor, following their movements.
'Feeling better, Stan?' I asked him.
He glanced up at me for a second.
'Yeah' he told me.
I looked back down to the girls. They were all taking cover behind
table and chair legs.
'These girls are pretty strange, huh?'
He nodded.
'They are' he said.
'What do you think we should do now?' I asked him.
He walked towards a chair where a girl was hiding. He knelt down to
the floor to pick her up. She started shouting 'Noooo! Stan, don't
hurt me, please!'
'They probably made it so we couldn't hurt them even if we tried.'
I said.
'Probably' he replied.
He sniffled.
Stan got to his feet with the girl dangling from his fingers; she
was still screaming in that high-pitched voice they all had.
'No! He's got Sheryl!' I heard somebody shout.
'Nooo!'
'Sherry. Dude, that's the girl that got us the spellbook, remember?'
I told him.
'Mm' mm'd Stan.
He dropped her. Sherry screamed melodramatically all the way down
to the floor.
She landed.
'Ugh' she squeaked.
I laughed at the cartooniness of it all.
Chapter End Notes:
There is a chance that their growing back to full size is the foretold 'third thing' they said they were going to do to them. Maybe they'll all leave this on good terms.
