Chapter 1 Uncle Joe

Yegori Ivanov patiently waited for the elevator to reach the top of the lift pad platform. A technical engineer on each side of him just in case he did something bad like sneezed or something he snickered to himself.

With secret anxiety burning at the pit of his stomach he knew exactly what he needed to do as the elevator slowly ascended.

"Aundrey, give me a cigarette please."

Aundrey chuckled. "Yes comrade, I think I'll light one up too."

"Screw the safety protocols, make that three cigarettes" Laughed Mariopal.

Quickly lighting the cigarettes the three men began inhaling in earnest. With Yegori sucking as much nicotine that his southern Russian lungs could hold.

"You guys wouldn't happen to have some vodka would you?" Yegori joked.

They laughed between their quick inhales. Yegori could see that these guys were just as worried as he was and they had good cause to be. There had been two complete rocket failures last month with several fatalities that were quietly suppressed from ever making Pravda. In fact, Yegori was quite certain that today's launch if not a complete success would suffer another news black out fate. It was becoming routine now.

With a noisy squeak the elevator stopped and the two techs slid open the thin metal doors. The men's eyes opened to saucer shapes when they saw a tall man in a sophisticated black suit with an expesnive looking shopka upon his head.

They at once lowered their hands to try to put their cigarettes out.

"No need for that comrades. I shall join you with one of my own." The wrinkled skinned KGB chief with the intellectual glasses quietly pulled an expensive silver case out of his overcoat pocket and gave himself one.

"Would you three like another, this tobacco comes from Sochi after all."

Yegori spoke up for them. "Thank you comrade Kariga. We would love another one."

"Good, I think this whole space program could use a cigarette truth be known."

The three other men didn't know whether to laugh or just enjoy the fine expensive tobacco brand that they couldn't afford.

The KGB officer reached out and embraced Yegori. Slowly walking him to the capsule door at the top of the massive rocket attached to the building sized launch pad support system.

"Lighten up comrade Ivanov. I'm as eager for you to succeed as you're life depends upon.

We have lost so many brave astronauts in our rush to beat the Yankees into orbit. But we will succeed I assure and mother Russia will swoon with pride over them Capitalistic pigs and their Chevy automobiles.

If we don't succeed this time then perhaps comrade Yuri Gargarin will succeed on the next launch. He's a nice kid from Klushino . A beautiful village near Gzhatsk. Ever been there Yegori? Of course you haven't, I'd know if your documents were stamped to that location and I know everywhere you've ever been my friend. I know of all your family and friends that you've ever made. "

The Russian astronaut knew where this conversation was going. And it infuriated him. He was as loyal to the party as Stalin himself. Or at least that was the persona that he had cultivated over the years. The same image that had gotten him this far into the space program.

The darkly dressed officer motioned the smoking techs to back up into the elevator and they meekly did. Lowering his voice and putting his nicotine smelling mouth very close to the astronaut's ear he continued.

"If you were to come out of orbit and not land in mother Russia, what are your orders comrade?"
"To initiate melt down procedures to the capsule and ingest my cyanide capsules."

"Good.. But let us hope it never comes to that. I would want us to retrieve a strong handsome man who has been trained in so many physical and weapon combat techniques, costing mother Russia so many rubles will become a hero of the Soviet people. A Yankee rock star equivalent." The evil man laughed.
The KGB officer walked back towards the elevator and motioned the two scared technicians to help the astronaut into the re-entry capsule. Closing the doors the officer looked ahead like a frozen statue as his body was taken down below where he could watch the launch from a safe distance as all of his other colleagues had recently learned the necessity of doing.

Yegori smiled to the two shaken techs as they helped him into the capsule. Before they could close the hatch door he quickly made a request.

"Aundrey, can I have another one of your cigarettes? I think I'm going to need it."

All three men burst into a much needed bout of laughter that took the stress out of their bones.
"Here comrade Ivanov, take my pack. Smoke one for me up there."

Yegori gave a thumbs up as the door was shut and secured. The two techs put their thumbs to the door window wishing him luck as well.

*****
One hour later.

The men gathered around the large telemetry equipment did not have smiles on their faces. Nor did Kariga the KGB officer who watched them in silence.

"His orbiting incline is not zero.... It is at a one degree trajectory. Absolute altitude has not been obtained."

The five men wore graven looks on their faces. They knew what this meant.. They had encountered it before.

The KGB officer chimed in.

"Well, one degree trajectory is better than the 5 degree that you sukas achieved last launch. And the 27 degree you pulled off the launch before that.

I suspect you gentlemen will have it right on the next launch.

In the meantime... Launch stattion chief comrade Yakova. You and me are going to have a talk about the best clothing to pack on your trip to Archangel. Ever hear of the place?"

The station chief looked down below his desk and closed his eyes.

*******

Yegori Ivanov looked down at his altimeter and stared.. He had hit it, kicked it. And even prayed to it. But it stubbornly kept giving back a new result that did not bode well for the cosmonaut.

His altitude had just gone from 210 kilometers to 211 kilometers. A minute later and he was at 217km. He was slowly drifting out into space. He knew that landing in China was a much better fate for him than this. He'd much rather die on land. At least he'd be given a grave. Now, he would just become another statistic to be hidden away in the KGB archives in Moscow. His flight blacked out like the others had been. His family would be told that he died in a training accident as per routine in such catastrophes.

The horizon of Earth was sinking further and further below his view ports too. Soon it would be nothing but stars. After that he would begin hallucinating. Then he'd start seeing spots as his air thinned to dangerous proportions. It was a long scary drawn out way to die.

Yegori pulled Aundrey's package of cigarettes out and regarded them. .. Any one of those cigarettes he could light, but due to the oxygen mix in the air, blow him to kingdom come..

The control communications comm link blinked as the facility crew attempted to hail him again. Their voices long since fading out as he got further and further into the upper atmosphere. Far higher than was intended.

He didn't care to report on all of the readings that his instruments were showing him. It was simply time to end the dread and die.

Packing the cigarette he realized that he didn't even have a lighter. Perhaps there was one in the medical kit near the door. It was worth a look.

Unbelting he noticed that he could just glide over to the door. He didn't' need to crawl. It was a wonderful feeling. Why hadn't he done this sooner? Stopping himself he decided to bounce up to the ceiling. Upon slowly impacting with it he pushed against it only to hurl back down to his seat. Then he got braver and did a cartwheel in the weightless air.

This was really fun! Yegori began dancing and spinning like a Dervish. Why not? It was his final bid at fun in such a terminal situation.

This merry dancing in the air went on until his capsule hit something big slamming him against the wall.

*******

"Hyper jump's finished, let's see where we are now. Mara excitedly looked down at the navigational read out.

"We should be right in front of Atzalia .. But that doesn't look like Atzalia." Terra huffed.
"I thought you said that you knew how to fly daddy's yacht Mara!"

"I do, I do! I don't understand this. I put the coordinates in perfectly." An exasperated teenager claimed.

Terra's mind went into quick speed.. This was no longer joy riding to buy Goosi necklaces. This could either land them in a lot of trouble or worse.

"Ok, let's double check what you put in against the flight path of Vorsha to Atzalia. It should be just a simple correction in order to get back to Vorsha.. As I'm no longer in the mood to go shopping after this. Who knows where we'll end up next. The middle of a star knowing you!"

"Shut up Terra, I probably just fat fingered a digit is all.. Ok here it is... I put in 0024200A4326YY1968... What do you see on the flight docs?"

The pretty red haired teenager known as Terra looked at the numbers and then looked at them twice.
"Ug! Do you see the six that came after the digit two? As in, A4326?"

The young lady with the dark hair in a pair of tightly woven braids dangling from her pretty head scrutinized the warp coordinates carefully seeing exactly what Terra was talking about. "Yeah.. So?"

"Yeah, that six should have been a G! We went right past Atzalia to the Solar Earth system... You know, right on the edge of bug territory!"

Mara meekly looked over at her thirteen year (in Titan years) old friend... "Sorry..."

"Sorry, my ass Mara! You could have just gotten us killed over Goosi necklaces. Of all things. I knew I should have just kept my grounded ass at home and not snuck out with you!"

Terra looked back at the flight controls. "You'll need to do a one eighty and put in the sequence in reverse and not fuck it up this time.. I want to go home now!"

"Ok, ok, I'm turning us around you spazoid. It' s not like I've never done this before."

Ping...

Both girls looked over at the bridge window... A small metallic object that was reflecting light off of it's silvery skin just bounced off of it and was now heading back towards the glowing blue planet below but at an extremely slow rate of speed.

They rushed up to the window and pressed their faces to the reinforced translucent metal that allowed them to look out of the ship.

"Hey, that's not a comet particle. That's Titan made! Or something like that!" The dark haired teenager with the fair complexion excitedly remarked.

"It's probably just space junk, let's get out of here before we get into a lot of trouble. Your nav equipment shows that we are sitting in front of a quarantined world called Earth by the locals there. And I'm pretty sure there's an Imperial Frigate parked around here somewhere enforcing the blockade so we're probably going to get into trouble if.."
Mara had gone over to the environmental habitation monitor and did a sweep out to a half a mile in each direction. The only life around was them and whatever was inside of that shiny metal object that just bumped into the yacht.

Mara got more excited. "There's life in it Terra, I'm putting on a Vac suit and going to go get it. Just hold tight for deca unit ok?"

"It could be a can of biological nerve gas for all that we know. No Mara! I want to go home now!"
But Mara was already running down the well lit hall to the rear of the luxury vessel. Her skinny body bounding into the distance on a mission.

"It'll only take a second I promise and then we'll leave. You know how I love souvenirs!" She hollered over her shoulder as a cabin door shut behind her.

Terra stomped her foot and proceeded to leave the bridge for the galley.. She was going to go get herself a nice stiff drink from Mara's father's liquor cabinet. Perhaps that would sooth her nerves for now.

******

Yegori had recovered and was now staring wide eyed at the massive silver vessel that was parked just outside of his beleaguered capsule.. He was ever so slowly edging back away from it and towards Earth again.. At least this was a step in the right direction he reasoned. Other than the fact that there was some kind of massive alien vessel that he'd just rocked against.

Why hadn't their been a Stavka briefing on this sort of thing?

In any event he didn't have long to contemplate this before a massive column with what looked like a gloved hand attached to it impacted his capsule sending him against the wall again.

Righting himself he once again pushed his body to the capsule view port. His craft was being maneuvered through space towards something.

Then a massive helmet came into view. It was the size of a house with what looked like a young feminine face with way too much eye liner on behind a thick glass visor that almost came in contact with the outer metal that kept him from the cold space beyond.

His eyes widened as hers did as well. His in terror, here's in mirthful realization.

It was enough stress in one day for Yegori's body. He promptly fainted into a much needed sleep.

******

Mara giggled. There was a tiny little human inside of that craft. This would be a most rewarding souvenir indeed. An Earthling.. A restricted Earthling at that!.. She'd heard so much about them over the last few years and how controversial the subject of them was. Throwing the idea of human intelligence into a very heated subject as of late. At least it was in the Titan portion of the empire.

Her own older sister shared the intelligence point of view and was in favor of emancipating them. The Federation's stance hadn't changed a single nano unit from what she could tell though. But that sort of thing really didn't' interest her too much anyway. What mattered right now, is here she had herself a free new pet and couldn't wait to get it back home and play with it!

Terra was enjoying a purple colored drink that she knew her parents drank on occasion and she could see why. Her nerves began to become placid once she'd made her fourth gulp of the sweet alcoholic substance. Taking her fifth swig the bridge door opened and in charged Mara still in her vac suit minus the helmet, holding the funny beacon shaped metal object.

"Oh you're not going to believe this!"

Mara slid the fist sized object onto the bar table right in front of Terra and smiled in anticipation..
"Take a look inside!"

Terra put down her drink and obliged her friend... Whatever it took to pacify Mara so that they could be on their way.

"It's dark inside I don't see anything."

Mara reconsidered as she hadn't thought of that.. The Star for this planet was at her back shining directly into the cockpit when she looked inside. Thinking fast she ran over to the flight control console and fished out a thin metal object that resembled a ball point pen and ran back to the table.

At first a needle thin laser beam shot out of it and burned a small brown spot unto the bright white expensive laminated table top.

"Wait, not that setting.. This one." Mara grumbled as she turned a dial on the side of it and then pushed the button again.

Out shot a strong cone shaped light beam that was more than adequate to light up the cosmonaut's cockpit as she focused it in.

"Go on look!"

Terra frowned but obliged her once again. Then her eyes lit up with wonder.

"Oh, how cute, a tiny little space pilot. I'll bet you he's from Earth! I hear they're really smart.. Smarter than the human pets that we have back on our planet."

Both girls were startled out of their mirth when a loud firm voice came over there communications link next to the navigational array.

"Citizens of the Federation, this is a Titan Empire M class patrol frigate.. You are in violation of quarantine law SS52.2754395B, commonly known as the Terran Conservatoin Act. You are hereby ordered to link your onboard computer to ours as we assume control and board your vessel. You have thirty seconds to comply before we disable your power drives."

Both of their mouths shot open in surprise.. Mara quickly lowered the capsule into her shoulder purse and ran over to the controls and did what was commanded.

Terra quickly poured her drink down the galley sink as if this would get her out of some of the trouble that she was already in... She was absolutely sure that she was never getting ungrounded now. But at least she wasn't in as much trouble as Mara was if that was any consolation

Chapter 2 Shanty Town

"Viceroy there's something you need to see." Said a calmly young fresh out of college sociologist who went by the name of Lauria Samara. Her brown eyes sparking in front of a curly chestnut basket of hair that swirled around her head in short braids that seemed to go in all directions at once. Like a windy storm.

The busy blonde with the electric blue eyes and fair complexion looked up from her data pad, pleasantly annoyed and admonished the young lady.

"Lauria, how many times have I told you not to call me Viceroy and to only do it at official ceremonial functions?" You know me as Glendoria and you know that I don't like the title. Stop needling me hun. I'm stressed enough as it is.. I've got a meeting with that wicked witch this evening unless you'd like to talk to her on my behalf?"

Lauria smiled .. "No thanks, but you do really need to see this Glen.. You're not going to believe it."

Glendoria sighed... "What is it Lauria I'm busy sugar pie."

"Nope... It's best just to show you trust me on this one."

"Ok, but I can only spare one hour of time, got it?"

"I've got it. I've already got the shuttle warmed up and ready to go. We need to head to the Arena in Rome. That's where you're ego is either going to make your head explode or you're going crap your sarong... It'll be your choice."

Glendoria wearily shook her head.. "Ok, let's go and be quick about this.. Let me put on my sandals real quick. "

"Put them on in the shuttle, you know how long they take with straps up to your knees and all. We do only have an hour as you've demanded. You should wear them a little more low cut like mine are." Lauria eye-ing own her ankle high sandals explained as the two ladies headed outside towards the lift pad. Glendoria carrying her leather sandals at her waist amongst her pure white toga of similar design to Lauria's.. Complete with a straight purple stripe that went from her neck, right down along her bountiful breast, past the golden belt sash and down to the hem of her knee thigh high dress.

"I wear our standard attire and don't choose to break protocol like you are doing right now. You know the rules and regulations and I for one can not set a sloppy tone and deviate from it like you are doing right now. " A smiling Glendoria admonished.

If you had not seen the small levitating transport vehicle and the beacon lights on the concrete surface you might be fooled into thinking you had stepped back in time about two thousand years.

The ladies made small talk as they climbed into the craft Lauria taking the pilot controls as Glendoria began the long arduous task of braiding her leather straps all the way up just under her knees.

"Lauria, you know that going there makes them all nervous and causes problems a lot of the time."

"I know, but my pet told me about it this morning and I almost crapped when I saw it.. It's a real game changer. You'll see." Smiled the Sociologist who graduated top of her class at a very prestigious university within the Titan empire.

"How did your pet find out anything that's going on in the arena?" Glendoria's curiosity pricked.
"I'll tell you about that when we get there."

Glendoria knew that the young lady was prone to fits of excitement so she wasn't too confident that this was really going to wow her as the transport craft lifted up with a hiss as Lauria gunned it slamming Glendoria's head back against her seat.

"Damn it Lauria you don't have to start out at full terrestrial speed like that. We'll get there eventually!"

"Yeah well I've been informed that I'm working under a clock right now so no time to waist. We'll be there in 5 minutes at this speed. So just relax!"

"Getting there in usual ten minutes would have been fine too you brat!"

Lauria was just over half her age. She was still a girl in many respects and trying to reason with a kid is like trying to reason with a Shaar. There just wasn't a lot of cognizant reciprocation going on. It was all do and ask your questions later. In any event Glen looked out at the beautiful blue ocean they were flying just above. An ocean that covered the majority of this moon's surface much like it's parent planet Poseidon was.

They were whizzing by at a breath taking speed as Lauria maxed out the terrestrial thrusters in order to save time as she put it. She just wanted the adrenaline rush the older lady figured.
In just minutes the horizon was covered in land as Lauria gained altitude lest they ram into the chalk cliffs that were getting closer by the second.

Once a little higher in the air Glendoria could see it off in the distance. The first colony shining and reflecting this solar system's primary star's light, built here years ago... Abandoned and then re-inhabited. Now sporting the name of Rome which was fitting since their home base back on the beautiful island that they had just left was called Athens situated on the coast of the continental island that they had dubbed Olympus. In fact all of the colonies on this Federation moon had ancient Roman and Greek names down to the land masses. Double the size of Earth's moon. A moon that was both hot and wet with enough humidity to make any Imperial vac suit a steamy sweat pot that would rot from human salt in a matter of days. Their cotton togas actually breathed and let air travel through it eliminating the need to perspire so much.

Lauria addressed the colony's space port. "This is PSS Rank 8 over 4 requesting clearance for landing over"....

A face appeared on a console monitor. A young man admittedly attracted to Lauria who at once smiled when he'd heard the clearance identification code. "You are clear for landing, as if anyone else is going to try to come to this world today."

"He, he, you're right about that ginger boy." We'll be there in point thirty seconds. Out. "

Decelerating and high above the large colony Glendoria could see the oval shaped stadium that they were heading to as they passed it in order to go to the landing port. It was grey and dirty looking. Inside the interior was a mass of different shades of black, brown and tans denoting primitive structures..

Coming down Lauria maneuvered them to a landing pad which was nothing more than a red sectioned u shape next to dozens of others that more closely resembled a parking lot at a grocery store. The hanger in the distance being reserved for larger vessels or broken down ones as the mechanics attempt to repair them. The terminal was just to the side of it which is directly where the ladies briskly walked towards.

"Slow down some Lauria, we'll get there."

"I know but I'm really excited about this... You will be too!"

Outside of the small spaceport was the colony town itself. Perhaps large enough to support about twenty thousand Titans give or take. Many of the houses were prefab modular structures as the ladies made a bee line for the old Tolbot arena. Still, Gendoria could see where several people tried to put their own personal touches on each drab construction. A painted hovel here, a basket of hanging red dragon carnations on a window seal there.

The arena had been here from the beginning during the first initial exploration before the town was abandoned for a twenty five year stretch until the glowberry bushes were discovered which changed the fate of this moon forever. In any event the stadium from the constant beating of the hot sun and the periodical torrential downpours that came with little warning was showing its weathered age. Metal connection cleats rusting red trails down the side of the peeling painted walls.

Glendoria had appropriated it as a safe haven for the arriving humans that came by the box full every week now. Making the situation within more chaotic with each new influx of fresh humans. At first it had been a way to keep the humans safe and segregated to limit the amount of fatalities that occurred from careless Titans who would inadvertently crush the hapless human who was foolish enough to walk out in the open or not close enough to a building or house walls.

But what had started out as a boon for safety quickly morphed into a smothering prison of overcrowding.. By the time the Viceroy had realized her mistake her tyrannical overlord Miss Gleebo made it impossible to reverse it by insisting that the vermin be contained regardless of the hardships that it caused. To Miss Gleebo it was simply a matter of keeping them all in one nest in the interests of convenience and control. Nothing more mattered for them as far as she was concerned. Another of Glendoria's good intentions gone horribly wrong.

The two ladies approached the old ticket entrance where there was a young peace keeper with a side arm which was rare for security here, a few pouches here and there along her belt sash. In brown flat leather sandals and a sarong tied with a golden sash looking every bit as like they did and bored as could be. Not even paying attention to them as she texted her friend on the other side of town.

She only looked up at them once Lauria swiped her access card across the security panel.
"Hey Lauria, hello Viceroy Artemis. Have you got anything to declare?"

"Nah Cyn, we're just taking a look around. No supplies with us this trip. That'll be tomorrow."
"Ok, you all, watch your step." Grinned the young Peacekeeper as she went back to moving her thumbs across her text screen at lightening fast speeds.

"She's right you know" Agreed Lauria as they passed through the old metal turnstiles.. It's getting harder and harder to avoid stepping on them. You should look down at all times and just follow me until we get there."

Glen smiled. "Sure thing young lady, you're the boss on this mission!"

Lauria only shook her head dismissively and pressed on. The inner walls of this compound had a strong odor of human bodily waste which only seemed to dissipate somewhat as they went through the second security barrier into the open field beyond. The outdoor air helping as much as it could. At the entryway to the human city they paused to look around.

Glendoria was amazed at how much this constricted and contained city of humans had densified. There were indeed two story structures being built by humans working feverishly with pieces of discarded metals, wood, and twine. Tying walls and floors together to support wooden floors and metal tin roofs that other men were smearing mud and straw along in an attempt to insulate.

She could see another female peace keeper off in the far distance of what had once been a playing field but now a choked cacophony of roofs and passageways slowly walking around with her head trained at her feet. Up on the top row of the bleachers was a restricted area that her partner also walked in order to keep an eye out for her partner on the ground.

It was found early on that woman had much more patience for this duty then the men who would lose focus and start killing humans by accident. The woman could concentrate through the tedium for much longer periods.. Not saying that they didn't create fatalities too. But it was far less than their male counterparts.

Somewhere near the center of the densely habited field was a weird figure being constructed. Lauria looked at it and then back towards the Viceroy with a knowing smile.

Then began to walk slowly through the haphazard hazard streets with slow measured and patient steps. Glendoria followed and kept her eyes down as previously instructed trusting that Lauria knew the best and safest way to the structure in the middle of the yard.

A few steps into the shanty town and Glen started noticing a strange phenomena. She would hear those tiny human's in burlap clothing beginning to shriek and point up at her as she slowly moved along.

"She's here! Look she's come! Our Goddess has come to save us and deliver us from this squalor. Another voice cheered and told others to look up. "She's here, she'll improve our lot! Bow down everyone .. Bow down."

Many of the humans did what they normally did when the Titans walked down their street which was to run for shelter and try their best to quickly get out of their way. It was very dangerous not to. The thought of their fear to the Titans made Glendoria's heart hurt with a pain that only guilt could cause. She so desperately wanted to change this situation. And her overlord was not letting her. But she had to hold on a little longer. Promising things the humans were doing would be their salvation.

Glen ordered Lauria to stop as she used her communication device to take video footage of the humans feverishly building second story structures across the roofs that covered all available space on the ground with the exception of the narrow passage ways that their sandals could only traverse single file. Their feet coving one side to the other compressing the dirt road into a hardened clay.

"Ok honey, I just wanted to get that."

"No need, me and Wandae have been filming them doing this for an entire week now. They're getting more and more resourceful. We're going to have to put in an order for twice the balsa wood that we needed last month. Maybe three times as much."

Lauria slowly moved on as did Glendoria as she marveled at their ingenuity.

Another couple of minutes and Lauria stopped and moved to the side in order to allow Glendoria to pass her to get a good look at the structure that the humans has made. There here dozens of men hoisting up slats of wood and tying it off with the twine that the Titans had provided them. Some were carving the wood and shaping it into patterns that were connected together like jigsaw puzzles that made solid shapes of craftsmanship.

What Glen began to realize was that she was looking at an attempt to make a statue and was completed to just below the breasts. These humans had stopped working as well. Most all gaping with wide eyed wonderment. It was her.

Glendoria looked at Lauria who pointed to the base where there were three entry ways.. Above carved in a larger single piece of wood was her name and title with an addition that made her eyes go wide.

It read "Temple of Goddess Artemis". Around the temple were murals of Peacekeepers, Lauria, her colleagues, and other Titans who regularly interacted with the humans as well.

Many of the humans were prostrating themselves and bowing.. Some chanted with eyes of wonderment.

"Lauria you had better not have put them up to this."

"No way, not me my Goddess." Lauria giggled. "We were just as shocked as you are now when they started on this a few weeks ago. We didn't know who it was dedicated to until yesterday. That's when I decided to come over and pay you a visit this morning."

"Ok, let's get out of here now before we create too much of a disturbance!" Glendoria now moved at a faster pace then when they came in but still carefully. A grinning Lauria close in pursuit.

Once outside a quick breathing and close to hyperventilating Ecoscientist vented her thoughts
"So they've decided that we are Gods?"

"Not all of them. A smaller more aggressive group seems to know better. In fact we've noted three or four distinct groups at this point. But the larger group sees us providing everything for them so they've come to this conclusion somehow. We are a lot bigger than them after all and we do give them everything that they've got.

Oh, and they are having a tough time of it too. The smaller faction calls themselves the Realists and are calling the larger faction delusional cultists and attacking them here and there. The Peacekeepers are having to break up a lot of fights lately. That's why you see them on constant patrol now. No more easy days of just standing around and texting their friends. Now they're having to work for their pay. But I really don't know how long that will last either. All it will take is for Fayaa to tell them to stand down and then it will be a free for all in here. And she could do it too. She don't share our opinion of them as you know."

" Well I'll agree with you Lauria, Fayaa is a piece of work. But how do you know all of this?" A bewildered Glendoria implored.

"My team of sociologists decided to start using their pets to infiltrate and bring us back reconnaissance about a month back. We've been keeping it quiet for the safety of our pets. I hope you will forgive and see the reasoning behind that. Because that's when we started getting the juicy details and finding out that they're making governments, and all kinds of other things right now. They're even coming up with their own styles of cloths. Men and women's styles differing from one another just like we do.

One faction is known as the black hand of death. Nice huh? We're trying to find out who is behind them or at least leading them.

But I can tell you this Glen, they're organizing. And they're not happy. This could get really bad for everyone here. What if they were to tear down the Glowberries or revolt, or.." Lauria looked off at the neighborhood of Titans around them in thoughtful contemplation. Then she got serious again.

"And our townsfolk aren't making things better either. Some of the children have taken to making sport out of shooting things like sling shot pellets or throwing rocks at their train transport as they move through the city. The Peacekeepers seem to be turning a blind eye to it too. My pet human road one the other day..."

Chapter 3 The Semi Annual Report

Glendoria was about to make her quarterly report to 142 Floor Leader of the Imperial House of Representatives whose name was Garba Gleebo.

Glendoria was filled with stress and dread as the appointed time came closer to just seconds away rather than hours and days.

Pushing back and righting a stray lock of hair that had fallen out of her bun tie, looked at the mirror one more time to make sure her appearance was proper for this most important meeting.
Garba had given her this lofty position due to a favor that she owed to Glendoria's father from a past indiscretion that was covered up by the said family member.

Glendoria knew though, that once her usefulness had run it's course, and a clever way to renege had been secured, Garba would find a way to wash her hands of her and take full control of this colony via a more loyal sycophant who she could already tell was being groomed in the Senate. It would be done with a mixture of dirty money and a democratic process with Garba coming out smelling like a rose.

But that was to be a future battle to fight. For the immediate present she needed to keep ahead of the fox and just survive this video conference.

Suddenly a beeping sound indicated that Garba was in the que and the screen lit up to show a middle aged lady with grey streaks flowing through what was left of her dark wavy hair.

The aging politician immediately addressed Glendoria.. "Ahh, Miss Glendoria Artemis, Viceroy of Poseidon satellite Olympus, and chief executive Ecologist for the said satellite, oh how ever are we doing today?"

Before Glendoria could respond as the concern of the question was false to begin with the Floor Leader pressed on.

"And how are my loyal toga wearing Federation citizens behaving these days too?"

Glendoria did not appreciate the slight that Garbo used in the attire that she and the other's wore on this hot and humid planet. So in her best tone of appeasement Glendoria attempted to save face for her and her fellow colonists.

"Now you know Miss Gleebo, I did not choose our cultural theme on this moon. That was decided upon by the very Senate that you are a member of. As they decide the cultural theme of all colonies throughout the Federation.

I was opposed to this attire at first but was won over by the sensibility of it due to the extremely hot days and humid weather that requires cloths that breath as the ancient Roman attire seems to do quite adequately. The Senate has proven wise and practical once again." Glendoria skillfully countered.

Garba smirked at her subordinate's politically correct response.

"Well, I have to admit that the ancient costume that you are wearing with the purple stripe down the front does befit you in any case. You really look like an ancient Goddess in that get up!" Garbo snickered at her own snide remark.

Glendoria winced to the slight as well because there was an embarrassing grain of truth in Garbo's off handed remark that they would need to address... Perhaps an issue that might make her usefulness last a little longer.

"Um on the topic of Goddess.. The people there.."

Garbo cut her off. "Tell me at the end of the report.. For now I need figures as I've got a whole cadre of Generals breathing down my throat with ambitions to spend our profits for wars we haven't even gotten into yet. For the love of the Empress."

The Viceroy dutifully looked down at her data pad and began reading out the figures.. They were mostly good. At least this was on her side.

"The gold mines on Olympus are producing twenty to twenty five pounds per month now. Silver is at 75 pounds. And the tin mines are up to 1500 pounds per month. With the nickel at 65 pounds. The copper output has swelled to 375 pounds with.."

"Just tell me what the Glowberry figures are." Garbo rudely interrupted again.

Glendoria knew that everything hinged on this crop. It was the whole reason for them being there and would be the reason for her replacement too once the desired outcome had been met. This was where the art of deception fenced and embraced truth in order to make desired ends.
Glendoria could be dismissed if she appeared incompetent too so the tight rope she walked on this subject was the cause for many sleepless nights for her. And would require just the right answer... One that appeased just enough to out way the annoyance that it was bound to produce.

"We are up to sixty seven percent of our projected harvesting goals at this point. We will need more humans to push the figure up any further though. We keep losing them at an alarming rate due to over-work, suicides, escapes, and other accidents that have been occurring."

Blaming the humans was her safety valve but it cut both ways. The humans had proven in the past that they alone could pick the Glowberries better than any other race and make the maximum amount of recovery in the minimum amount of time.

Glendoria knew that this was not the way that she wanted to go. She just needed to buy herself more time so that her plans would come to fruition. Plans that would see these human's lot changed for the better and perhaps even emancipated as that word kept sweeping around the various political houses as of late.

Garba frowned and became very serious.

"Ok Glendoria, we will continue the importation of humans to your colony. I will also have Fayaa, our devoted head of security begin euthanizing any humans found to be committing any class 2 offense or higher. Deserters are to be punished and given the same treatment for a second offense. The Empress knows that we are already pilfering all of the breeding farms as it is. Any wild humans caught are brought along too. I suspect before long all of the humans on this side of the galaxy will be working for you my dear."

Now it was Glendoria's chance to make requests.

"With all due respect Miss Gleebo, throwing free bred humans and wilds into the same cases is causing a lot of problems. Problems with fighting and bullying my head Sociologist has reported. More care needs to be implemented in separating them. The breeding farms are making nice obedient humans that are not well equipped for the fierceness of the wild ones. Which brings me to their present living conditions.

They are abhorable. The reconstituted Tolbot arena can't hold many more as their is squaller everywhere. I'd like to request a new settlement for them so that..."

"Request denied. They will make due with the living arrangements that we have made for them , we already went over budget when we made them that silly train car system that you supported. They'll live in high rise apartments if need be before they're getting one more inch of Titan real state." Garba quipped.

Glendoria nodded because she was about to hit the older lady with interesting news again. "Um, to their credit Miss Gleebo, they are adapting to the overcrowding in a most unexpected way...
With the wood and twine that we've been supplying them with, of which we need to triple our supplies of might I add, they've started making second story structures. Mita, one of our anthropologists even found what could pass for a three story apartment the other day. This shows intelligence!" Glendoria smiled hopefully. To which the Floor Leader sneered.

"No, it shows that they can copy Titan structures like a monkey copies the hand actions of a idiot making fun of them at a zoo. Nothing more. But in any case with them making multi storied dwellings that should help with the overcrowding wouldn't you think?"

Glendoria's words had been turned on her once again. But she still had hope that she might gain something, anything for the plight of the humans.

"There is another matter that I need to raise Miss Gleebo..."

"Well go on and spit it out. I haven't got all night you know."

We suspect that they have begun seeing us as deities.. A statue has been built in my image and likeness that even has my named monogrammed upon it. I think that the overworking of them is making them irrational and somewhat delusional. It begs the case that we should cut their hours from twelve down to perhaps six at the most. They already have a hour commute on top of everything else and."

"Did you say that they see you as a Goddess now?"

"Yes Miss Gleebo, and every other Titan that they're coming into contact at this point, which only proves their overworked status. They are forming governments and factions now too. There is wide spread discontent and who could blame them in their overcrowded and overworked conditions of . . "

"My, my, my. Glendoria.. It is not everyday that I get to meet a Goddess!" The Floor Speaker heartily began to laugh keeling to the side with mirth. Glendoria patiently allowed her to have her amusement at her expense and waited to get another word in edgewise.. But it did not come.
"I would think with this interesting development you could use to make them work even more energetically. Any Goddess that I've ever heard of would! This is actually a wonderful development that will see our ability to raise their productivity ten fold if I were to wager. It is only a question of you using it to our advantage. I want them to work more hours now. If only to appease you that is.

I need not remind you how important this crop is... With all of the separatist talk from the Senate buzzing around, our Federation needs all of the finances that it can get and this is a honey pot if we've ever had one. The largest projection crop of the entire Empire at this point! With this boon we might just be able to break away and stop having to suck all of their crazy notions down our throats like poison with such weird ideas as human emancipation.

At the next conference call in three months I want to see our Glowberry production up at least 20 percent. We'll round up even more humans for you. We're already getting them at a pittance of what the breeding farms used to get for them. We've had to threaten asset forfeiture on most all of their facilities too but it doesn't matter because this is more important than any two bit human breeding business.

And yes, we'll even divide them up if it will make you happy. But we need more work from them at this crucial moment in or history. Not less. They are just pests to begin with after all. Like trained rats pulling a sleigh through the snow.. Nothing more. So stop trying to be miss humanitarian and start doing more important things like saving your job and future honey."

Glendoria's last gamble this session had backfired yet again.

"Now if you'll excuse me Goddess Artemis, I must take my leave and gather the proper sacrifices that need to be made in your honor! Lest the omens of good Glowberry fortune dip down below the accepted production values once again! " The vile lady laughed once more as her video image began to fade to black.

But she was not done yet....

Now, another lady was visible on the Floor Speaker's viewing screen who had pale skin, amber colored eyes, and short dark brown hair cut in a bowl style.

"Madam Floor Speaker, an honor and privilege, I have my intelligence reports ready and am ready to turn them over to you." A fake smile of affection washing over her face.

"I'll look at them later Fayaa... It has come to my attention that their are governments forming in that Tolbot stadium amongst the vermin... Perhaps we can get ahead of the curve and start our own faction.. One who worships a Goddess like yourself" Garba grinned.

"Oh, you mean like that statue they're building for the Viceroy?" The security chief said with a knowing smile.

"How about it Fayaa.. Up to the challenge of being worshipped by your own little cult? It might do us a lot of good to get them fighting each other rather than uniting and throwing down their collection baskets."

The security chief smiled again.. "Oh, I've been worshipped by many for less Miss Gleebo."
"Ha, ha, ha, ha! You and me are going to go far Fayaa!"

Chapter 4 Something Expensive

Mara and Terra quietly and meekly sat in the yacht's red velvet textured lounge as a intergalactic peacekeeper went through their things.

The peacekeeper couldn't have been any more than 19 Titan years of age.

Mara knew that she'd find the human and their troubles would double at that point.

The stern faced lady had a light olive skin complexion with long brunette hair tied into a no nonsense looking pony tail.

Her hands fished through the expensive Tirbur purse and circled around the primitive orbital craft. It was very flimsy to the touch. Even thinner than a soda can the peacekeeper noticed as it groaned through her fingers by the actions of her grip.

She was about to show the device and begin further interrogating the young girls when her eyes saw the pink Migigga styling brush. This was a real one. A five thousand credit one that could dye your hair with a swipe through it. It could stylize it in a similar fashion. You could even program in the hair style that you wanted and it would cut your hair perfectly to form every time.

Glancing up at the rich girls the peacekeeper raised both items to equal heights in front of her breasts as she kneeled on the floor in front of them. With a unreadable flat look upon her face and once she knew that she definitely had both of their attentions she slowly lowered the Russian orbital module back into the purse.

She then took the high dollar pink brush and put it in her evidence pouch. She continued to stare directly at both girls to gauge their reactions to what she was about to do.

Mara slowly looked away out through the observation window and nodded her head in full agreement. Terra looked down and nodded too.

A few seconds later the CDR Captain walked into the large luxury lounge and at once spoke to the peacekeeper.

"Chief Petty Officer Volichka. Have you found any contraband?"

Only then did the peacekeeper begin to zip up the purse and hand it back to Mara.

"No Ma’am, nothing other than lip stick and chewing gum. The place looks pretty on the level from what I've been able to observe."

"Good, I'll need a word alone with these two young ladies if you don’t' mind. Tell everyone to head back to the mooring bay. I'll be out shortly."

"Yes Ma’am."

The Petty Officer smiled and winked to the girls and walked out towards the upper deck.

"Hello ladies, Ms. Yavaela, would you do me the kind favor of following my Officer to the mooring bay while I have a chat with your friend?

Terra didn’t' need to be told twice by this tall and intimidating officer. She got up fast and almost ran to the lift.

"Miss Mara Samara... Daughter of the Deputy Minister of Federation Agriculture. How are you this evening?"

Mara continued to look down at her vac boots. "Fine Ma’am."

"Mara, we have a problem here. A big problem.. An intergalactic problem. Now I've met your father before and he's a rather reasonable man. Perhaps if I had a talk with him over your personal encrypted line we might be able to smooth this over and see to it that you don't get into too much trouble here.

Because as it is, the common protocol in these situations is to impound the violating vessel for no less than a cosmic year. And a fine of no less than two hundred thousand credits.

But your father is a reasonable man. Perhaps he can persuade me not to file this report in a way that might not ruin the rest of your life."

Mara needed no more coaxing. "Ok Officer."

"Call me Sandrae."

"Yes officer Sandrae. I can take you right to the flight controls and get you on that line right now if you like."

The officer took the liberty of lifting the young girl's chin to face her eyes.

Mara could swear she was looking into the face of Lucifer herself when she saw the lady’s evil grin.

"By all means young lady.. Lead the way."

Mara gathered up her purse and set out to the bridge with the tall officer in tow.

************

A slightly past middle aged man with distinguished looks and a full styled shock of grey hair appeared on the screen of the secured channel looking a bit surprised.

"Mara, is everything alright? Where's my yacht?"

"Daddy it's me, I'm in a bit of trouble. I snuck out the yacht and put in the wrong jump coordinates and now a Federation galactic patrol officer would like to talk to you.. I'm sorry... I was just trying to train and better my skills at flight and all"

Mara felt a hand on her shoulder and looked up. Then nodded, got up and left the cockpit leaving the two adults to intrigue.

"Mr. Samara.. Sandrae here. We haven't seen each other since the one hundredth floor ball benefit on Vorishia half a cosmic year ago."

Mr. Samara's face went from curiosity to dread. He knew where this conversation was going to go but also knew that the Captain of the Frigate that now had custody of his daughter, her friend, and his yacht was speaking from the high ground of legal authority in this instance.

"Yes Officer Moorcock.. How is that lovely wife of yours?"

The Officer coughed. "We've divorced."

"Oh sorry to hear that Officer Moorcock. Almost as sorry to hear that my daughter has gotten herself into another tight one.. Let’s cut to the chase here. I know that this is not a courtesy call. Nor an attempt to ask me out on a date.. .. Now, how much water needs to be pored over the rough rocks in order to smooth them down enough to make this discreetly go away?"

"I was thinking a figure of five hundred thousand credits my good friend Miles. And with that the reports will show a damaged navigational array along with comments praising your daughter's brave and skillful efforts to save life and property."

Miles Samara sighed...."Done. I'll have my attorney create a off world account within the hour and send you a pin access number over a secured line."

"Outstanding Mr. Samara.. Simply outstanding. We'll even escort them all the way back to Vorishia for you as we wouldn't want there to be any more mishaps today my good friend.

Oh, and how's that other beautiful daughter of yours doing lately over on that moon we call Olympus?"

Miles frowned again.. "Not well, that House Speaker Gleebo keeps sucking blood out her like she does to everyone else within a light year of her presence.

The Frigate Captain frowned... I have no love lost for that lady. "I'd sure like to stick it too her if I had the chance.. I have an old score to pay back to her"

Miles finally smiled.."Oh that could be arranged. Everything shines when it's covered in gold. You of all people should know that, He he."

The two adults smiled together for the first time today.

**************

Mr. Samara was standing in front of his daughter now.

"Me and your step mother have decided that it would be best if you went and lived with your sister for the summer season. You can come back in the fall."

"But dad! I don't want to live on some two bit colony out in the middle of nowhere.. I want to be right here! Did Riva put you up to this?"

"No you did. The last time you got into trouble it cost me seventy five thousand credits.. Now you cost me half a million and that's enough! You need a change of scenery young lady. You need to get out there and work your pretty little hands for a change. Or would you rather go to that boarding school over in Azalia for the next four years?"

Mara looked down at her expensive heels and sighed.

"That's what I thought. Your sister could use some support too. She's out there all by herself and I dare say she's in way over her head.. She could use a crafty extra pair of eyes like you have. Think of it as an adventure. And she's already agreed to look after you so the matter is settled anyway.

I've already had your assistant pack your wardrobe and she is waiting for you at the shuttle."

"Can Terra come and visit me or stay there for the summer too?"

"Yes she can if she wants to.. How do you like that?"

"I don't but what other choice do I have?.. I know I screwed up daddy and cost you a boatload of money. It's just that you're never here and I always have to deal with Riva. I hate her!"

"Well at least you wont have to look at her for while dear.. And you'll be able to help your older sister out which will help me out too. Think of it as you helping me for a change rather than costing me."

Mara fingered her big expensive purse...

"You know I just got home less than an hour ago and now I've got to leave for four months?"

Mara's father offered her a support hug. After the embrace a tearful teenage girl began walking to the back of the estate where the shuttle that would take her away from her social life was waiting.

********

Captain first rank, Yegori Ivanof was jostled awake. The capsule was moving back and forth as if it were tied to a rope and swaying like a pendulum.

After a while there was a lurch and then an impact with something below him that made the trapped astronaut fall onto his behind.. Fortunately, things settled down after that. .. Taking advantage of the break in movement Yegori quickly found the dump funnel attached to the floor and urinated. Better now then all over his capsule he reasoned.

No sooner had he zipped his pressure suit back up did light flood into the port windows. Startled he felt movement as is in an elevator.

When movement had stopped again he sprung up to look out one of the viewport windows only to have an eye that was even larger than his head on the other side staring right into his face.

Yegori yipped and jumped down into his seat. In a blind panic he belted himself down as if this would somehow keep him safe from the monster outside of his re-entry capsule.

**********

"Ohh! He’s awake! I just saw him through his window!" Mara squealed with glee. Bringing her head back up from her older sister’s kitchen bar counter.

"I told you to keep your eyes out of the windows Mara. You were supposed to place that vessel in the sink so that he really couldn’t see anything....

Well that plan is out the window now, I think we should go ahead and try to take him out now Mara. How would you feel if you were cooped up inside of a aluminum can for a couple of days? But remember, we’re going to do it the way that I said that we would. We don’t want to give him a heart attack."

"Oh, alright. But I want to hold him as soon as possible!"

"You’ll get to hold him when I think he’s ready. Remember. I’m the one who has the experience in handling wild ones. And this poor unfortunate Earthling doesn’t even have a frame of reference like they do. I still can’t believe you took him from his planet like that. But at least you did right to call me before you cracked open his ship"

"Glen his ship bounced into the yacht’s window. What were we supposed to do just let him die?"

Glendoria looked at her younger sister with distrust. For all that she knew, the man was having a perfectly nice day until Mara and her friend came along. She initially had every intention of forcing her younger sister to take him back to customs and turn him over to them. But after hearing Mara’s story while her sister was in flight to Olympus and contemplating a little longer on the subject she wondered what would the authorities do? Put him in a foster home? Or worse, a pet store?

Then there was the rumors of Earthlings being just as intelligent as Titan humans were. Glendoria for years prior to coming to the colony had suspected that they were all on the same level if all conditions were equal and they had the same amount of education. Having an open mind and pet humans growing up had proven that to her in the past without the need to have a double blind scientific test as proof..

Looking back to her previous suspicions as compared to what she knew now made her smile knowing that several of the colony’s anthropologist’s pets were covertly teaching the Shanty Town humans how to read, write, and do mathematics. Her and her colleagues had decided early on to try and help the humans and being that several of her team’s highly educated members had already done this forbidden activity with great success with their own pets a golden opportunity presented itself. It was one of th reasons she was happy to take on more humans initially. To improve their lot by whatever covert means necessary and prove the need to free them.

She had even used the educator on her own pet Derrick with spectacular results as the other anthropologists had suggested that she do having so much success with experimenting with the device.

The EDU7522 series 3 machine, or commonly referred to as "the educator", was a device that Titan and Federation children had used for decades. You simply hooked its transmission headband to the machine and turned it on. Then it vibrated sending bio/neurotone virtual images and information via the recipients head temples to the frontal lobes using a focused electromagnetic beam that traveled into the frontal lobe of the brain and branched out over the neural network to reach every necessary corner of the biological computer in question.

This machine sped up the learning process in excess of 12 times the rate that a verbal communication could advance. With even better memory retention to boot.

It was also discovered (although suppressed by royal decree ) that if a human were placed within the center of a working head band that they too would receive the information as if they were wearing the band like a Titan would. It did tire them out a lot more quickly than Titan’s it was learned too. This was theorized to happen because of a much larger electromagnetic wave focusing on their smaller craniums. But Humans seemed to learn just as quickly as the Titan’s did and this was talked about in the scientific circles for years although not released to the public under Federation and Imperial directives.

Still many people experimented once the cat was out of the bag, or just spontaneously experimented on their own pets to find out things that made the Federation and Titan Empire officials somewhat nervous. A news blackout was enforced silencing the would be Titan who requested an interview in order to blab about their personal findings.

Glendoria was fairly confident that this human could be taught the basics in order to function and speak Titan in a matter of months at least. And with the pre-educational background that this human most likely had it might only take weeks. She would be interested to learn about this and report it back to her colleagues at their weekly board meetings.

Now. It was just a question of getting him out of his capsule without killing him. Glendoria and Mara spent a few hours talking about this once Mara had shown her acquisition to her older sister shortly after landing with her personal servant the day before.

Glendoria knew that this would be risky on almost every front. And the longer that they waited the more agitated and uncomfortable their little guest who sat in the primitive orbital vessel would become.

Nodding her head she spoke to her younger sister.

"Ok Mara Let’s try plan A.... Derrick will knock on the door and try to convince him to come out. Use the voice translator so that he will understand us."

"And if he won’t come?" Mara looked back at her sister with an evil grin that did nothing to alleviate Glendoria’s concerns.

Glen looked back at her sister with a very serious gaze.

"Then we’ll go to plan B but we’ll be gentle about it."

"And if he still wont come out?" Mara still grinning. "Can we go to plan C then?."

Glendoria frowned. "Let’s just see what our two first options bring...."

Chapter 5 The Sacrifice

Tyrian and Lydon stood with Mort watching the evangelist say praises to his God's in an annoying nonstop continuous drone. As if his oratory would gain him their divine favor if he just kept talking for another three hours as he had been doing already. An appreciative throng of people of a similar mind set were hanging on his every word too which made Tyrian even more upset... After all, it was he and his entourage who followed the correct pantheon of Gods. Not this bunch of imbeciles.

His Gods were more directly involved.. They were brutal.. They were to be feared. They worshiped Bellona.. The Goddess of War. She required that all of her subjects be given her brand too. Just below the neck in between the shoulder blades.

Tyrian himself was a strong man and very tall by human standards. He was the one of the biggest men in the entire arena and he was certainly formidable in his cleverness and brutality. Those who bowed and succumbed to fear, followed Tyrian.

Tyrian was blessed with good looks too. Long black hair that covered his broad shoulders and brilliant blue eyes to compliment his strong, lean, and chiseled muscles. He was accepted by their Goddess to be the leader of the rest of them. To be the go between. Him and his lieutenants had that honor which he was very proud of.

Tyrian finally uncrossed his arms and pulled a thick and sharp blade from his sheath. Looking over to Mort with a most serious gaze he coaxed the acolyte on.

"Our Goddess has demanded a sacrifice. A sacrifice of the infidel. I have decided to give you the honor of carrying it out brother Mort. Will you bring happiness to her today and earn out mark?"

Mort looked up at the taller man. He himself being a bit on the short and chubby side in spite of the hard work and sparse rations that others were forced to endure as he had excelled at stealing for himself if covert means didn't work, then a good bash on the victim's head would get the job done faster too if need be.

But this was cold blooded murder he was being asked to perform. It was this crowded and unremarkable life of remaining a petty crook, or listening to Tyrian and joining the major leagues.

Mort put out his hand and accepted the knife. "For the Goddess of War." He nervously swore.

"For the Goddess of War." Tyrian and his lieutenants agreed.

"When the deed is done you know where to go. We will hold a feast and you will be the guest of honor. Now to claim your glory and appease the Gods."

Mort nodded and turned towards the open street.

It was one of the very few plaza's that the Shanty Town had and this was only because it was a nexus between three pathways. The evangelist had simply stood upon a plastic fruit container and began spouting his lies as Tyrian had claimed.

Mort slowly walked to his victim keeping his blade hidden within his burlap tunic...

Tyrian and his Lieutenants watched with morbid fascination. A murder carried out in broad daylight. This would strike fear in the infidels like nothing else would.

The evangelist was a man in his mid thirties by all common appearances with close cropped brown hair. He raised his fist in the air and shouted the dictates that their people would live under.

Nobody paid Mort any mind as all of their infatuated eyes were on the orator, making Mort's job all the more easy to perform.

Mort slowly made his way to the front and once there, with no hesitation, plunged the sharpened instrument of death deep into the man's stomach. Then almost as easily as it had slid in, Mort pulled it out and gutted him again. And again.

The evangelist's eyes popped open in shock. Several women screamed in fright. All the humans ran several feet away in terror. Except for the Evangelist who fell down off of the crate he had been standing on. His eyes open but to a dead face.

Mort felt exhilarated. He waved his bloody blade in the air and held it out while he swept it through the air proudly displaying his deed for all to see.

Then.. He was shrouded in darkness as if the sun had been blotted out.

Mort looked up at the sky and gave a blood curdling scream.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!" ~ Crunch ~

**********

Matilda's communication device beeped. She took it from her golden colored silk belt and opened it up to see her fellow peace officer Mariana on the screen who she knew was standing up on a higher elevation amongst the bleachers..

"What's going on down there Matilda? Do you need some back up?"

Matilda moved her flat leather sandal off of what was left of Mort. A gooey red and yellow puddle in the sandy soil.

"Nah, some human just murdered another human so I stamped him out. There doesn't appear to be any other accomplices so I'm going to go take a lunch break. Just watch over my station while I'm gone ok?. I wont be but about thirty minutes. I'm tired of standing in this direct hot sun anyway. I need a juicer. I'll cover you for yours just as soon as I get back... Over.."

Tyrian and the rest of the men looked on wide eyed at the remains of their aspiring acolyte.

"Come on men, let's go report the success of our mission to the Goddess."

"What about Mort?" Lydon inquired.

"What about him? Let's go." Tyrian sneered.

The other men followed with no further questions. Lydon watched the Titaness lazily walk off as if nothing had even happened. ..

*******

Ping, ping, ping.

Yegori watched in silence... Nothing made sense..

The Earth's upper atmosphere.. Then a Giant hand.. A Giant face.. Darkness.. Movement. Light and another Giant eye peering in at him... And he was no longer in outer space where he should be in a floating casket by now.

But he was here.. And a negroid man was pounding on his door. Peering in just as the Giant eye had done. But he seemed normal sized. He also spoke in Russian which Yegori understood well enough. But how did this man speak it?

"We just want you to come out so we can feed you. And explain where you are now. Believe me when I tell you that you are safe now. It will all start to make sense once you come out.

So why don't you open this door and do just that.?"

Yegori stood and looked into the dark face that was staring right at him.

"You can tell me from where you stand. I am not coming out."

"But how will we feed you.. Do you have any water to drink? How will we get it to you if you don't open the door?"

Yegori looked back within his capsule.. The man had a good point. He had no food left. He had no water left either. His mission was not supposed to go over twelve hours in length. But here he still was, perhaps two days later. Still in his darkened capsule. The batteries to the emergency lighting having gone dead yesterday.

"If you are a good man, and can speak Russian, tell me who the chairman of the Politburo is."

The dark skinned man didn't know what he was talking about. But tried to clear the water some more.

"Look, these Titans have great technology and they are translating my language which is there's too and making it sound the way that your brain needs to hear it. But I do not know your country's history. Or even the planet that you came from. I'm just one human trying to help another one who is acting like a child right now. Come out and let us help you."

Yegori quickly snipped at his would be savior.

"Go away. You are not a good communist if you do not know who the chairman of the Politburo is so you must be a Capitalistic operative. I will never surrender to a Capitalist.. I am sorry my brother. Please go away now and read the Communist Manifesto in your spare time, it will dispel the evil illusion that you are presently living under.."

The dark skinned man looked up and shook his head in the negative. Then he went back down the foot ladder and could not be seen from the viewport anymore.

Then Yegori heard some words that penetrated his capsule and seemed to be coming from above.

"Ok, Derrick couldn't convince him to come out.. It's my turn Glen. I'll be real gentle. I promise. ..

Then a deeper more mature voice seemed to address him directly.

"Man who is in the orbital vessel.. My name in Glendora Samara. Me, my sister, and the man that you just talked to mean you no harm. But in the interests of your safety you must come out. Or at least take the first step of opening your vessel's door.. If for no other reason you need fresh air and water. We detect no water outside of your body so we know that you are out of it.

Also, me and my sister are of much larger size and volume than Earthlings are. We are called Titans and we come from a Federation Planet.. I don't expect you to know what I'm talking about but the size difference between us and you is rather vast and can not be denied. We do not wish to harm you in any way. We want to help you. And if you don't open your door we will be forced to open it for you. Not to be an aggressive act. But as an act of civic responsibility. You need help and we wish to give it to you. Now will you please open your vessel's door?"

Yegori was fairly certain that she was not lying about their size differences. But he still wasn't ready for this.. Quietly he removed the medical box and opened a small door behind it. From there he removed a pistol. It was his last line of defense.. It was a Makarov semi-auto pistol with a ten round clip.

After a few more minutes he heard more thunderous voices from above.

"You'd better stick with the plan Mara. I'm serious here. You make one wrong move and I'm sending you out of here. I probably should do it now anyway knowing you.."

"No Glen, I can follow the plan and be gentle... Ok, watch me."

Yegori took the safety off of the side arm and aimed it at the door.

Then what could only be a finger tip pressed against the viewport of the door.... The tip turning white as it applied more pressure. Another moment later and the thick glass began to groan.. Cracks spread from the center of the circular window out to the round metal reinforced sides.

With one last squeak the glass gave and burst as the finger tip entered the capsule and then doubled over and began to pull on the door which immediately began to buckle under the immense pressure.

Yegori just stared wide mouthed and in partial shock as the door bent in on itself. The pins burst into bent fragments as the door detached from the capsule and was lifted away.

A rush of light and cool fresh air came in immediately.

Mara twirled the capsule door around her pinky tip that had dislodged it.

"Hey Glen do you think I could make a cute ear ring out of this door? He, he, he."

Mara was giggling like a little girl pleased with her fashion accessory idea.

Glendoria put her hand on Mara's shoulder and tried to quiet her in a hushed tone.

"Shhh.. Be quiet Mara. Let him adjust to what just happened and go sit over on the couch while I talk to him."

Mara shrugged her discontent and took her capsule door with her in order to fiddle with it some. Testing it's flimsy strength once she sat down again, it bent in any direction that her finger tips attempted to move it as if it were made of aluminum foil.

"Sir, we have set some water outside of your craft and a box of sand in case you need to relieve yourself. We have also put some food on the table below as well.

I apologize about damaging your craft but you gave us no other option and we are not going to allow you to harm yourself while you are in our company. So take some time and when you are ready, come out and enjoy the provisions we have provided for you. After that perhaps you will be more in the mood to talk with us."

Glendoria walked back over to her younger sister and sat next to her.

"I have to go to work now Tara. But you remember the procedures we talked about earlier and I expect you to follow them. I'll be back after my shift is over. Glendoria looked away thoughtfully for a moment though and then thought better of things.

In fact, you're coming with me. Mir can unpack your things and get you settled in. There's a nice fish bar near the administration building that we can get you something to eat at. Let's go."

"But Glen I want to stay here and see if he comes out."

"Nope! If I know you you're going to find a way to coax him out and then scare the death out of him. We have to treat him differently because he's never met Titans before. How would you feel if some Giant snatched you out of the atmosphere and then took you home to become a pet? Besides this will give him more time to acclimate without us all over top of him."

Mara didn't like the reasoning but it made sense. Then her eyes lit up and she hopped off of the couch on a mission .

"Ok Glen, let me tell Mir where everything goes and I'll be right out and we'll go!

With that Tara bounded out of the room. Glendoria watched her go and wondered what horrible mischief the girl was planning but decided it couldn't have been that bad whatever it was as they were leaving in five minutes regardless of what instructions she was giving her personal assistant. Glendoria reflected on how the fortunes of her family had increased as she was growing up. They could not afford Mir when she was Mara's age but now... Her father even had a trophy wife ever since their mother had divorced him. And her father's ties that he now enjoyed had gotten her this position she had no illusions about.

Glendoria had always wanted to help colonize a planet. Beginning with a moon as in this case was a good start she reasoned. Coming from a very wealthy family had its perks.. But now she was seeing the reality that came along with the adventures that she had naively reasoned it would mostly be... The politics and others who had to be dealt with. She was learning that she was just a cog in a much larger bureaucratic machine. True, should could make changes here and there but the over all direction that things took was still way above her paygrade.

These were depressing facts to have to grapple with she sighed as she made her way to the terrestrial craft that would take her and Tara to work today.

*********

"Ok Mir, this is what I need you to do while we're gone..."

Mir was a very pretty girl just a few Earth years older than Tara. A thin petite frame made her Latino appearance a very cute compliment to her tootsie roll colored eyes to be within the frame of her dark and straight hair that she kept neatly in a braded pony tail much like Tara's twin tails.

Mir was very happy to be the personal assistant of the Mara family. She had her own living quarters and got a very good wage as compensation for her babysitting job which is pretty much how she saw things. She was there to help keep a very rambunctious teenage girl out of trouble due to the fact that her parents were too busy to do the job that she had been hired to for.

Her and Tara being close in age bonded very quickly as Tara was a very nice girl once you got to know her and past her mountains of energy that would see the girl bounce from one problem to the next.. Even creating them if they weren't already there.

Mir was now going off world with her employer's daughter. The idea excited her as she knew, being a short order cook back on Vorishia was never going to afford her such an opportunity. Mr. Samara had given her the opportunity to take a leave for the summer while his errant daughter spent the summer months on Olympus. But take a leave when she could go off world? Not a chance. She instead used the offer for the brief severance to her advantage by convincing the older man that her loyalties lied with his family at this point and wouldn't dream of leaving the poor girl all alone on a far flung planetoid thereby pleasing her employer all the more.

So now she stood after putting away the mountains of cloths before Tara who had the very mischievous twinkle in her eyes as she was given a story of the special help and assistance that her and Glendoria needed. She was even given a quick cover story too in case things went wrong. Such was the quick thinking of the devious girl who she was to try and look after during their stay on this moon.

Mir accepted the story and agreed to help Mara while the two girls were out. She didn't think the task given to her would be that difficult anyway.

Chapter 6 Train to Hades

It was very early and the Poseidon star wasn’t even above the horizon yet.

"Do you have anything to declare Lauria?"

"No,.. Just doing a typical check up on them. See you in a little bit."

Lauria entered the arena. There were little lights beaming out of some of the structures. They tended to come from the larger ones. Obviously stove fires of some sort . "Were they the more exclusive hovels?" She wondered... This could be a fire hazard she reasoned but would be silent about it for now.

For she had a more pressing mission to tend to for occasion.

Looking up she could see the peacekeeper snoring in a seated position. The other peacekeeper was nowhere to be found. So without a moment to squander she bend down quickly and pretended to be examining some of the small roof tops while her right hand fished something out of her belt pouch. Securing it in her fingers she removed the small being and set her on the ground behind a row of houses that bordered the train tracks.

Then rising just as quickly she walked over to another area. The one with the glowing windows in order to see what the tiny humans had come up with this time. Her communication device at the ready to take live footage of her find.

*******

Three hours prior

"Ok Sheega, Let’s go over this one more time...

I will sneak you into Shanty Town again but only this time place you over by the rail line where you will board the train when it docks at first light.

You will ride it all the way and remember all events that happen on it. Then I want you to pull a day of labor at the Glowberry farm and tell me everything that happens there.

Try to remember everything that the other humans talk about and how they are treated too.

I will pick you up that evening when the train arrives and all of the humans have disembarked at the same place that I dropped you off at. Then we’ll go home and you can tell me what you learned."

"When I’m back can I have cake?" Said the innocent beautiful woman as she looked up hopefully into her Master’s eyes.

Lauria couldn’t help but smile and the cuteness of her pet. The lady was her senior in age but only by a few relative human years. She had reddish brunette short hair braided into small flower pedal shapes upon her pretty skull. With intelligent green eyes and a mind to match it.. A very tall strong physical body with well toned features that made her a force to be reckoned with to any human she was near.

Sheega had learned by the Educator quickly and could already read, write, and do mathematical reasoning if need be. She was quite the artist too, and could paint the most beautiful designs that Lauria had ever scene upon her finger and toe nails.

When Lauria didn’t have Sheega teaching the children at the hidden Shanty Town schools, she would send her out on covert reconnaissance missions like this one.

Lauria worried about her cute little pet’s safety when making Sheega do these sorts of things but had told herself that Sheega was working for the rest of the good Titans for the betterment of all the humans on the Colony and that the risk was worth the reward.. At least that’s how she rationalized putting her favorite pet in harms way from time to time.

She would certainly buy a strawberry cupcake for Sheega once she collected her later that night and had her safely back in their home.

********

Sheega saw the large metal beast known as the transport shuttle quickly approach from the opposite side of the old arena. It was completely automated and moved at a certain time with no exceptions.. You either made the train that morning or you were left behind which meant no food voucher for that day.

There were already hundreds if not thousands of humans around her now. Anxiously waiting for the metal beast to stop so that they could hurriedly board.

Sheega had heard the horror stories about the train so was naturally very nervous when it stopped and everyone around her began to hurry onto the flatbeds.

She was near the very front car which would become the last car once it had reversed direction and went out of the arena. Knowing that she only had five minutes to climb aboard she made haste by climbing the metal steps that hung off the side of the flat box car.

It was very crowded and she just managed to squeeze herself between a few men who were busy squatting down to lie as prone as possible. Every square inch had a human body on it. Many were laying over top each other. But nobody dared to stand. This was not lost on Sheega who figured she would do the same.

Someone close to her face began speaking to her.

"Hey, that’s some brand new and very clean clothing you have there. First time on the job?"

Sheega was worried that her cover was already blown but tried to play it off.

"I just arrived the other day. I’m new here."

Another man chimed in.. "Well, she’s got some big jugs on her. I wonder if she’d let me milk them on the way to the farm?"

A chorus of masculine voices began to laugh at the remarks.. Sheega was so infuriated that she didn’t even notice that the train had already started to move and was picking up speed.

Sheega countered. "If you even think about touching them... I’ll throw you right over the side you stupid prick!"

Another chorus of laughter erupted to her scathing reply.

The offending man who looked like he’d crawled right out of a cesspool just looked back at her. His eyes contemplating.

Sheega began to look around her... The train was moving very fast now and wind was beginning to whip at everyone’s burlap rags that they wore. The hovels were zipping by in a blur now.

Then all went dark as they went into what could only be a tunnel within the wall. It was at this point that Sheega felt a hand upon her right breast.

A moment later and the darkness was replaced with bright light. They were outside of the arena and traveling through the colony in what appeared to be a common water run off sewage system recessed into the pavement to allow waste to travel out of the city. The side walks and roads were a few feet above with common pedestrian and vehicle bridges passing just over their heads.

But Sheega didn’t have much time to worry about this as she had an assailant to tend to at first.

"I warned you didn’t I?"

Sheega kicked her primitive mocassin into the mans face knocking him back.

The men who were watching all gave a cry of shock and entertained glee at the amazon’s feistiness.

The wild human who had been kicked got up and balled his fists.. This was not over, but just beginning.

Sheega did the same and realized that she was a full head taller than the man. This was not lost on the wide eyed urchin either who paused at the realization.

A voice from the entertained crowd sang out. . "What’s the matter Beeorn? Bit off more than you can chew this time?"

Beeorn looked to the instigator and snarled. He had to do something now. So without warning he launched a sucker punch into Sheega’s stomach doubling the surprised amazon over to which he delivered a flawless upper cut that sent her back over several live bodies who were enjoying the spectacle.

Landing about ten odd feet back towards the front of the box car. Beeorn smiled and was already advancing for the kill when a whole swath of people in between a gasping Sheega and Beeorn suddenly were knocked clear off of the box car in exploded pieces.

Everyone looked up to see a young Titan girl with a sling shot in her hands smiling at her excellent accomplishment. She howled a scream of delight and then began to run after the train intent on capturing a new pet or two.

"Oh my Goddess! she’s coming after us!" A terrified woman screamed.

And she was... The young girl resembled a massive predatory dinosaur from some b-rated horror film as her massive legs churned propelling her closer with each step to the back of the train. Her hands outstretched ready to pluck anyone she could clamp them upon. An evil smile of indulgence upon her face.

Sheega used this diversion to right herself and launch at the perpetrator who was too busy watching the advancing Titaness to see what was coming.

Sheega connected a right hook to his jaw and sent him flying the opposite direction towards the end of the train. A single guard rail at the end stopping his fall.

Turning around he was met by another punch to his face which made him see stars. Sheega pressed the advantage and brought her knee to his stomach making him double over that time. This was followed by a upper cut that lifted him all the way up and caused him to uncurl to the point of teetering over the rail, his back being the only support that kept him on the train.

Sheega grabbed his foot and shoved him back over the rail.. Beeorn gave a shriek as he fell off of the fast moving train just missing the electrical track that was high above the sewage water making splash as he hit.

All eyes were upon Beeorn as the child Titaness stopped her pursuit in order to scoop up the hapless human.

"Yippy!" She wailed as she brought him out of the water enclosed within her meaty fist and began skipping away with him...

No-one ever saw Beeorn again....

*******

z88;

Sheega sat down and kneaded her swelling jaw gingerly with her finger tips.

The other humans watched her in awe for a few moments before going back to their safe prone positions lest the wind blow them off and they suffer a similar fate as Beeorn or the other people who had just been killed by a metal pellet the size of a bowling ball.

The man who was the first to ask her about her cloths was sitting near her and spoke through the howling rushing air.

"That was some good fighting you just pulled off. Where’d you learn to do that?"

Sheega thought about telling him about the Educator that Lauria was allowing her to use but thought better of it.

"I come from the woods of Vorishia and had six older brothers who bullied me constantly. That’s where I learned to fight." She lied.

The man seemed satisfied with the answer but kept the conversation going.

" Yeah well I could tell that you were a Wild once you first spoke up against Beeorn. The Farmed humans only know how to grovel and worship false Gods. But us Wilds know better . Well if this is your first time to the plantation stay near me.. I’ll get you a cushy job for the day. I’m friends with some of the guards. My name is Craigy." The Wild human offered his hand in friendship to the taller muscular lady.

Sheega smiled and returned the handshake.. This was a very good turn of events she reasoned.

******

The train left the massive Titan houses and flew into the countryside with the humans still hanging on for dear life. It was a long journey before all of the trees gave way to bushes that had the all important Glowberries growing upon them.

When the train began to slow, a dock could be seen just up ahead with several thousand humans waiting to board.

Sheega looked over to Craigy for an explanation who looked up ahead with a knowing glance.

"That’s the night shift. You get one and a half food rations if you work it. That’s if you can get on the train in the evening. Lot’s of fights break out for a spot on that evening twelve hour, so I’ve learned just to let them go and make due with my single ration on the day shift.

When we dock, follow me and I’ll take you to the correct line."

Sheega nodded her head in earnest as she was very uncertain and weary of what lie ahead.

When the steel wheels did finally come to a stop she could see several terrifying beasts in black jump suits with whips in their hands shouting at the people to move along and disembark. Cracking their whips at people’s legs as they hurried past.

When Craigy hopped down she was right on his heals. There was a large fence entrance with a slogan above it she read to say "Work is Food and Food is Life".

She didn’t like that slogan one bit but continued on with Craigy.

They went through the obnoxious gate and were faced with another partition fence that had several lines with more of these pig faced looking beings that stood well over six feet in height and were muscular as well. But it was their faces that really bothered her.. They really did appear to be pig like. With ugly round bulging eyes just above a traditional pig’s snout with fangs coming out of their lips. They could only be judged as humans in bipedal form only. They were just too savage and animal looking from the neck up to pass as a human species.

"What are those things?" Sheega asked.

"Oh, the plantation guards. This is your first time seeing them I can see.

Yes well, they’re not humans.. They call themselves Orcs. And they are indigenous to this moon. I don’t know if they are found anywhere else because I never saw or heard of them until I was caught and shipped over here.

They follow a weird form of government that has a very dehumanizing way to look at things and they worship the Titan named Ilsa who is in charge of the plantation. I’ll tell you more about them later... Just avoid eye contact with them and follow me over to this far line."

Sheega didn’t need to be told twice as they walked through the throngs of people who were going through a row of lines with tables.. Each one with stacked baskets upon it. One being issued to each person as they were roughly handled through the entrance passage of the fence partition.

They came to the final checkpoint at the far side of the partition fence where Craigy walked up to the jack booted Orc and nodded his head in acknowledgment. He pointed to the taller lady behind him and stated that she was with him.

The Orc made a snarl and walked up to the amazon in order to inhale her scent. They were of equal height Sheega noticed as the Orc sniffed up and down her neck. When done the other two guards did the same to her as if they were learning her unique identity given off from the pheromones of her bodily sweat.

The Orc put his whip handle into her back and pushed her along through the entryway to the other side of the partition.

There on the table were what looked like gardening jugs filled with water. Sheega watched Craigy grab one in each hand and begin to walk off towards the fields which action she mimicked in order to keep up with him.

"Listen, we’ll split up and meet here when the sun is at high noon. You will need to refill your water jugs at around that time anyway.. Your job is to give people water. Just poor it into their mouths as you walk down each bushel row. Everyone usually partakes if they know what’s good for them.

The Orcs were chosen by Ilsa early on and enslaved by her to be the camp guards here in order to whip everybody else into picking the Glowberries. They seem uniquely temperamented to the task. They all are fanatically loyal to her and will torture anyone who stops working for even a second. They will kill you with a second offense. So don’t mess around with them and just don’t make eye contact.. Otherwise they might decide that you are pretty."

Sheega watched Craigy head down the center road and bank a hard left down the first row of Glowberry bushes. Not needing anymore instruction than what she already had she copied his direction and then started banking to the right rows.

While giving people their much needed water in order to survive she noticed how fast and hard they were working with the black clothed Orcs walking up and down the rows looking for the slightest infraction.

She saw one teenager pulled away from a bush where he had been collecting the berries and taken off to the top of a hill which had a row of thin metal boxes with just enough room for a person to stand up in. They looked like they were cooking the people inside of them as the hot sunlight beat down upon the aluminum sides. She thought about taking water to the unfortunates trapped within but there were three Orcs standing between her and the hot boxes. She’d never make it without joining the unfortunates inside one.

Noon came and she met Craigy at the watering station where their jugs were filled again. This time they were each given a wagon loaded with loafs of bread. Craigy explained that each person was only to receive one slice and nothing more which she carefully did.

The hot day went on like this, hour after hour with each human dutifully sawing away at branches in order to release a very large melon sized Glowberry to fill the mouth of their basket while others ran with the filled baskets to the collection points.

Sheega was in horror of the working conditions. The entire day would be spent in this brutal fashion. Day after day after day she looked on with depression.

At the end of the shift Craigy told her to follow him once more where everyone was converging at. This was the food voucher line. Everyone who had participated got a chip that was enough to be exchanged for a certain amount of food at the commissary back in Shanty Town. They were also given a single slice of bread for the ride home on the train which they immediately headed for once they got their silver chip.

Once the humans had been pushed, kicked, and whipped back onto the flatbed box cars it was back to the horrifying speeds once again. Craigy kept his head close to Sheega and explained a little more of what had happened.

Apparently Ilsa and her fellow team of Titans had enslaved the Orcs and pressed them into service noticing their particularly cruel dispositions and how the Orcs would actually thrive in such capacities. They were given large amounts of food and their black militaristic clothing was tailored by humans in sweat shops at various locations on the plantation. They even had their own community that they would fester out of each day in order to brandish more misery to the overworked humans each day..

This conversation was cut short when a thunderstorm unleashed torrents of cold water upon the beleaguered passengers as their uncovered train bolted through the unrelenting soaking rain and chilling them to the bone.

It only let up when they got to Shanty Town’s loading dock where the night shift batch of humans were waiting impatiently to embark.

Sheega told Craigy that she would look for him tomorrow or one day the following week in the same car that they had met on before they said their goodbyes.

Sheega watched the departing humans leave and the next shift wearily embark for their night of misery. About ten minutes later Lauria came along and offered her hand to Sheega who slowly got onto it and collapsed from exhaustion making Lauria very concerned for what she’d truly gotten her pet into this time. But there was time for that later as she gently stowed Sheega away into her belt pouch and made her way back to their home...

******

From the shadows of the rickety hovels Craigy silently watched the Titaness gently collect her pet and walk off with her before smiling and vanishing down the winding streets to his own pitiful shack.

Chapter 7 Who's the Boss?

"Everything looks fine now Sheega. That bastard cracked two of your ribs when he punched you there. But they’re repaired now. The swelling in your jaw is gone too."

Lauria didn’t like how roughed up Sheega was when she got her home and looked at her through a magnifying scope, so got her right over to the medical berthing unit to get her fixed up.

Sheega had obediently allowed herself to be placed inside the unit as the sound, vibrational, and light instruments worked their magic upon her body. Sheega had even fallen asleep while the machine did its thing.

Later Lauria placed her pet within the Educator head set and cross plugged it into the HoloEnvironment machine as well. She wanted to see Sheeba on her level and curl up to her pet for all of the guilt that she felt when Sheeba explained her story.

Lauria, Glendoria, and the rest of the research and development team did not know how things were going on over at the Globerry Plantation as Ilsa along with Fayaa had pulled a government priority directive barring anyone but them from having access to the plantation making it a top secret affair. But the suspected that things were not goo. And as it turns out, things were even worse than they had imagined.

They had gotten stories from their pets who had milked the regular workers for information but knew that they’d need to get one of their own inside to get the real picture on what was actually happening there.

Lauria, was excited to learn that there was even a new sentient race working there albeit in a very negative fashion with a temperament to match. She would pass this information on to Glendoria too along with the other inhumane things going on there as per Sheega’s report.

Lauria knew that they needed to somehow get Titan citizens on the plantation to take live footage but those details would need to come later.

But for now, she would watch her pet sleep off a very hard and stressful day.

*********

When Sheega awoke her feet were being massaged by Lauria. The efforts already making themselves pronounced.. The pain in the upper part of her foot where she had kicked Beeorn now absent.

"Sleep well, sleepy head?"

Sheega regarded the beautiful lady who was giving her the smile that only lovers share as she continued to rub her soles.

"Where’s my cake?" Lauria’s slightly annoyed pet inquired.

Lauria directed Sheega’s eyes to follow hers that moved to a cupcake the size of Sheega’s entire body, that was next to her prone form within the Educator headpiece.

It was always a little strange for Sheega to see her real self all small and vulnerable in it’s actual state outside of the Hologram Environment. She just did her best to ignore it and live in the moment of where she currently found herself. On the nice large couch with her Master and lover.

"Were you brave enough to take off the safety features today Lauria?"

Lauria smiled and nodded in the affirmative.

To which Sheega pulled herself into a seated position next to her Master and laid a fiercely hard slap against Lauria’s face.

~Smack ~

"Owww!" Lauria shrieked.

But Sheega had no sympathy.

"Good, I’m glad that hurt! Don’t you ever send me to that place again! I almost died there! And you know how afraid I am of dying. It’s why I train constantly and keep that hard little body you like so much. You know, the one that you like sticking in your pussy??

How good would it be if I was raped to death like those sumbags on the train were willing to do if I didn’t fight for my life?

Or would you have just gone out and gotten another fuck buddy to replace me, huh?"

Lauria was sobbing beyond control now. Hiding her face in a pillow and dampening it with her tears and mucus. She felt even more terrible now than before.

"I’m sorry Sheega, I’m so sorry. We had to know... We had to know so that we can make these horrible things that are happening to your kind stop. I’m so sorry baby, please forgive me."

Sheega could see her point but was not going to take her foot off of the pedal just yet. This anger that she had would be worked to both of their advantage.

"Where’s the toys Lauria?"

Lauria meekly pointed through her tears to the side table of the couch. There in clean, neat, form, were the whips and strap ons that the two fashioned in such encounters.

Sheega’s face still a scowl as she put her mouth right next to Lauria’s ear.

"Good, now get yourself prepared for some revenge girl!"

Lauria cried even more profusely now. She being a full head and a half smaller than her lover knew that she was pretty much at the mercy of the amazon at this point.

But on a much closer inspection, a perceptive viewer could see just the slightest up curl to her eager lips.

**********

Later in a warm sudsy bath contained in a beautiful porcelain tub Sheega was lying in comfort upon Lauria’s firm yet supple breast. Enjoying the warm massive damp fingers that rubbed up and down her backside. From her neck down to the soles of her feet.

The two had frolicked for hours with Sheega making good on her threat before exhaustion to pleasure had finally become too pronounced to ignore. So they left the Holo-room for the clean steaming hot baths.

Bathing in their after glow, Lauria would pinch small crumbs from the cup cake that was sitting upon the tub lip and feed them to her little lover who accepted them without a hint of hesitation.

Lying comfortably upon the back rest of the tub Lauria thought to smooth things over some more.

"You know Lauria, with equal rights I wouldn’t have to carry you around in a pocket or a carrying case anymore.. You could ride on my shoulder and tickle my ear with strands of my hair."

A nonplused pet who had just finished another hand sized chunk of cake pointed her mouth up towards the head that was her sky.

"I don’t mind riding in your pocket though. I kind of like it. It makes me feel warm in there and like you are the biggest mother in the world and I’m just your little baby. I feel safe... Up on your shoulder I could fall off and die.. And I don’t want that."

Lauria frowned having been successfully parried. And thought of some more reasons to make the missions that she had to send her pet on more appealing.

"But we could get married and I could have children and we could raise them together!"

Sheega sighed again.

"Great, that’s all we need, is me running for my life as some Giant kid who wants play dress up, chases me around the house and squashes me accidently in the process.. You can forget about that!

Lauria, everything that I want I have right now lying under my body and petting my backside.

If I want food, I’ve got it. If I want to go somewhere, we go and I’m protected by you when we’re there. We both know who wears the pants in the bedroom.. Ain’t that enough? Equal rights are only going to complicate things. Next I’ll be taxed and have to work like those poor people at the plantation."

"But what about that big pride of yours Sheeba? Don’ you want to be looked on as I’m looked at?"

"Oh Lauria, quit lying to yourself, that will never happen even if somebody votes me equal legal status to you. You will always be hundreds of times bigger and stronger than me. Able to cover distances in minutes that would take me days.

Pride was the first thing I truly lost when I became your pet as it is for any human in my predicament."

"Well that’s a good noun to focus on then Sheega.. Predicament... What about the predicament that all of those people in Shanty Town face everyday. You know, the place that you can’t stand the stench of as you’ve told me in the past. What about their predicaments?"

Sheega had just been effectively countered. But it did not solve the issue that she had with her Master as she twirled her finger tips upon the nipple that was as large as her head.

"I understand your altruistic goals that you and the other Titans that you associate with. But all that I know is that I keep having to do bad things and go to bad places on account of them. I already have everything that I want and I wish I was enough for you but I’m not. So I will continue to be unhappy until you either get your way or I’m dead."

Lauria got that bad feeling in the pit of her stomach that told her that even though, her aspirations for the humans were noble indeed, they might just wind her up a very sad lady if Sheega’s prophecy becomes true. An excellent trump card to be played by the tiny woman who was stimulating her breasts.

The stalemate was enough for now she reckoned.

Lauria gently pinched the ribs of Sheega up and brought the amazon to her lips that she had just pre-moistened in stimulation allowing the lady to place her feet upon her chin as a monstrous muscle used to taste things began to snake out. Nipping and slathering at the hard little body.

Perhaps it was time to put aside such lofty philosophical debates and give her little lover a proper tongue bathing. She had earned it along with her cake after all...

Chapter 8 Plan C

"I'll put 50 credits on my little champion." Smiled the beautiful blonde woman in the military uniform.

Fayaa frowned... That only left her the three other humans and they looked a bit scared and malnourished.

The odds were 2 to one in favor of Ilsa's champion even with him being outnumbered like he was.

Fayaa was here to talk more than anything else so if it cost her fifty credits to do it, so what.

"Ok, fifty on the scrawny rodents, who are most likely to lose anyway.... One of these days Ilsa, I'm going to have a champion who will beat yours to a pulp and we'll see whose smiling then."

Ilsa wasn't worried though.. "Well, it's been over a year since you've had anyone even close to being able to challenge my little stud so I think I can just keep grinning at you for now. He, he. By the way, nice toga Fayaa!"

Fayaa wasn't happy with the crack and countered.

"Oh we can't all have the luxury of being in the Empresses armed forces like you are. Some of us civilians must wear what the Federation requires us to. Besides, I see those sweat rings in your arm pits.. You can't be that comfortable now are you really?" The security chief smiled.

"Oh shut up Fayaa, your just jealous because I get to look normal and you have to play the historical role of ancient Titans.. I suppose it might look nice at a dinner ball but that charm must wear off eventually."

Fayaa continued to tease.

"Ohh, but I'm not sweating right now, now am I? Ha, ha, ha."

Ilsa felt a tugging at her jacket sleeve and looked down to her daughter.. No more than just over a Titan year in age. With blond pigtails and a virtual look alike albeit in smaller form of her mother.

"Mom, can I play with Targ after he bashes the humans heads in?" The girl smiled menacingly with hopeful anticipation up at her mother.

"Just go get a human or two from the plantation and use them as dolls like you normally do Rhoda.. Targ is too vauluable honey poo. Besides, you already have an Orc in your right hand, remember? Now stop pestering me so that we can watch our warrior win."

Rhoda sulked and took her frustration out on a pet Orc already stuffed within her fleshy fist who she had been occupying her bored time with, teasing it as the grown ups were speaking to each other.

The Orc looked up in fright having been in this position where Rhoda didn’t get her way before. Immobilized by the thick soft digits that restrained him. Her other hand moved towards him with a middle finger bend back over her thumb like a spring loaded dart straining for release and edging closer to his face.

The Orc already had one broken fang and bruises on his face from previous abuses and could only squirm and yipe as the cocked middle finger came closer to his head.

"Bad little Dorgi. Bad, bad. And bad little Orcs get punished"

With that childish chiding she let the potential energy that was stored up in her cocked finger loose by flicking him in his skull knocking his lights out in the process, like a cruel child would do to an insect of torture, and then stuffing his unconscious form into her pocket in order to watch the main event with her mother. Dorgi the Orc being quickly forgotten as her excited attention was drawn to the event below her and her mother.

The two older ladies turned their attention briefly to the arena ring where the contestants were preparing for battle.

Ilsa's champion was a thick muscled Orc who relished his job and trained for the blood sport constantly. A true professional gladiator.

The other three humans had been grabbed at random from the plantation and delivered to today's festivities.

They had each been given a rounded shield. With each having short thrusting swords and nothing more.

Ilsa's champion had real armor covering his head, chest, back, shins, and arms. His long yellow tusks protruding menacingly from the visor of his face plate.

The humans were out classed from the start. They were each a head shorter and half his mass at that and not trained to gladiatorial combat.

So the champion was able to show off for Ilsa, Fayaa, and the other well to do Titans who had placed their bets for the event.

Three concentric rings of bleachers were filled with the Titans who had come to gamble on the blood sport.

There had been other events prior to this main one as well, like humans against Shaars and humans against Shiliths always with disastrous consequences for the humans involved.

But the highest volume of betting always came down to the brutal Orcs against the humans with the humans seldom gaining the upper hand against the larger and more aggressive species of humanoids.

And Ilsa had her prized champion, Karg. Undefeated even amongst the other Orcs that they threw at him who was now setting about his craft, attacking the scared humans who had no choice but to fight for their lives or die at the end of his spiked mace that was swung at them with a terrible force now.

It was not long before the first human's head was smashed into pieces. An uproar from the entertained crowd made it difficult for the two woman to communicate.

"Gleebo wants us to organize against the humans before they can organize against us. So I need you to start training your Orcs in urban warfare, because we can stomp all of the crowds that we see, but somebody will still have to drive them out of their hovels when push comes to shove.

I'll get some Educators to the plantation to help you with the training."

Ilsa was nonplused...

"I'll need time Fayaa. The Orcs, though aggressive enough to carry out any type of interdiction that you may need are slow learners. It will take me several weeks to get them organized into a military force, rather than the guards that they presently function as. Goddess knows it took me over a year just to keep them from eating them on site"

"Well the humans are organizing Ilsa." Spoke Fayaa as she distractedly watched Karg smash another human into a bloody mess in the arena, causing another annoyingly loud round of cheers.

"I'm doing what I can to counter it but the majority are insisting upon worshiping Glendoria's staff and that gives our Viceroy a bigger say in what happens here then you might have realized. If we lose the workforce to them then we'll have to concede to their crazy demands which means that their production levels will fall which will in turn mean a lot of our jobs.. Including yours my dear friend.

They even have the crazy idea that the humans should enjoy equal status to Titans! Whatever will we do then? Cater to their every beck and call? Give them wages and grow them ectoberries to eat on Soldays?"

Ilsa thought deeply for a moment.... "What if I also trained a police force to take some of the burden off of your peacekeepers and then we could intimidate them even more that way. Our police force will be used as an instrument of terror to keep them in line! They are already half trained to police as it is over at the plantation."

Fayaa liked the idea and nodded in agreement. "Ok, that could work in the short term, our anthropologist ladies will get a thrill out of studying your guards I'm sure, but we'll need you to get that urban strike force trained too just in case things take a turn for the worse."

Both women evilly smiled to one another as the crowd of Titans cheered for the final time as the last human succumbed to the wounds that Karg had delivered to.

Ilsa smiled again as she held out her hand to receive the credits that Fayaa now owed her.

*************

Mir regarded the fragile metal object that Mara had warned her about. She would follow her instructions and make her employer grateful.

Going directly to the table she pulled up a chair and sat in front of the silent craft. It was time to be direct and firm.

"Little pet of Mara. You are being disobedient and your master wants you to come out so that she can help you. And if you will not come out. I am going to get you out of there by force if necessary.

So be a good little pet and come out now so that I don't have to scare you with a forceful extraction. ..."

Yegori heard the thunderous ultimatum that rang and vibrated throughout his entire capsule.

He was tired, thirsty, and hungry. And now above all he was scared too.

Gripping his pistol he belted in and waited for the inevitable to happen... Would his capsule keep this new Giantess at bay? He didn't think so after the last one simply tore his door away as if it were a chewing gum wrapper.

He had ten rounds. He figured he'd fire one into the beings finger to test if it had any effect. If so, he'd fire some more at her. If not, he'd simply hide it and use it again in the future if a situation warranted it. It was all the options that he was left with at this point...

Mir impatiently drummed her fingers on the laminated counter.. This was going to probably go down the hard way. But he was just a pet after all. Or at least that's what Mara had told her that he was. And if this was true then she'd have to do this in a way that caused him the least amount of physical trauma....

Then, an idea hit her.... A splendid idea indeed.

Mir ran back to her personal quarters and dug something out of her personal travel bag....

In a small bag was a recreational plant that she liked to smoke from time to time. It was called Ganja. .. It had a very pungent sweet odor to it. And it created a lot of smoke when lit. "This would do the trick indeed!" She smiled.

Grabbing a utility pen, some rolling papers, and small portion of the of the dried plant, she quickly rolled up a cigarette and ran back into the living room where the bar style table that connected it to the kitchen was. Of which Yegori's capsule presently remained.

Yegori had the gun pointed at the hole that used to be a door and waited for his chance to see if the Giantess would bleed.

But instead of fingers snaking their way into the opening a big cloud of smoke entered instead... It was so thick that he couldn't even see. He quickly deduced that he'd need his emergency oxygen mask but he was belted into his seat as he didn't expect this type of attack.

But unbelt he would have to do and did. Putting his side arm behind his back upon the seat he tried to find through a strong fit of coughs the top part of the capsule. But as he climbed he noticed that there was absolutely no air near the top and would not make it without passing out. In fact the densest concentration of smoke had already floated up to that area of the capsule.

He would need to stick his head out of the opening and get a clean whiff of air in order to make another go at it. .. By the time his head was leaning out of the opening he was being inundated with a fresh puff of very thick smoke causing him to almost pass out from the lack of oxygen.

Now He would need to climb out in order to find fresh air. But something else was happening too. Through the thick sweetly odor he noticed that his state of mind was quickly beginning to distort. His worries faded and his lips turned upwards into a smile as he started to climb down the service ladder looking for that all important breath of fresh air.

A few steps down and he was hit with another blast of the noxious smoke.

*****************

Mir was having fun getting the errant pet stoned. Filling his capsule up with smoke she knew it was only a matter of time before it flushed him right out of there which it did. When she saw his tiny little head poke out she simply hit him with another blast not daring to inhale until her task was accomplished.

Once he climbed out and started down the ladder looking to escape her narcotic puffs of smoke she giggled with glee as she decided to blast him again.. This was getting fun! She wondered how far he would make it before he was too stoned to even function. Making her job a hell of a lot easier.

Letting him get to the base of the ladder where his boots made contact with the linoleum service she hit him with another blast from her lips sealing his fate.

It was with this last blast that he fell to his hands and knees trying desperately to breath in fresh air. To which she took pity and allowed him to do so as she didn't want to suffocate him after all.

When he had somewhat regained his bearings and was looking around Mir hit him with a final blast of smoke through her giggles sending him into another row of coughing fits.

By the time the smoke had dispersed, Yegori was completely incapacitated.

All that he could do was sit upon his behind and slowly look around him in a dazed fashion.

"Best damned Ganja money can buy, huh little man?" Mir said aloud smiling at her victory.

It was then just a simple matter of gently pinching him up with her middle finger and thumb about his ribs to lift him to her face and regard him.

With a smile of victory she moved the tiny dazed cosmonaut over to the glass pet case and decided to remove his clothing. After all, domesticated pets usually didn't wear them anyway. And Mir decided that whatever game of dress up he had been playing with Mara was long since over once he had stubbornly refused to leave the strange old fashioned looking capsule as Mara had explained.

So, after tearing his pressure suit and boots away from his body she gently lowered the nonresistant and drugged cosmonaut down upon the bed within. She even placed and rolled the blanket over him before putting the top back on the case.

"Have a nice evening little pet. I wont even charge you for the half a joint that I just used on you, he, he, he."

Next Mir went to the utility closet and activated a cleaning machine of a brand that she was well acquainted with and began removing all trace of the pungent odor from the room. Once done with that small task she decided to retire to her own personal quarters and finish the rest of her joint.

Yegori could only lay on the bed and stare into the room with its human sized accommodations. There was a large black flat screen against the wall. A toilet, shower pad, sink, and a box on the far side that looked like some sort of advanced climate control that had what appeared to be some type of aluminum duct that went through the glass and outside, perhaps to draw fresh air or vent it to.

But soon, his clouded mind drifted off into another peaceful sleep.

Chapter 9 The Goddess of War

"Goddess Bellona.. Goddess of War.. We have given you your sacrifice. A great orator for the infidels has been struck down by your faithful subjects."

Tyrian boasted of his accomplishment. But he was still far from confident as he gazed around the great table that he and his lieutenants huddled upon.

Around him were several cages containing Fayaa’s personal pets. Along the back of the table where the hutch rose up there were several more cages with humans within looking out at he and his officers with the eyes of envy and defeat. Envy of his freedom compared to their own.

There were two naked ladies with beautiful braided hair closer to the Goddess who sat before them, chained at their waists to each other nervously sitting, seemingly skittish at any movement that their Master might make.

Their fears proved well founded as the twins were lifted up by their chain hoisted by Fayaa’s index finger.

The two ladies hung like limp puppets. Their eyes closing in fright.

Fayaa maneuvered the naked twins over to her mouth and be began licking at their legs and feet. The twins kicking and resisting the best that they could as the tongue kept slathering their limbs.

Amused laughter seeped from the Giantess as she kept up her torment of the bodies before her face.

"And who was this great man who did my dirty little deed?"

Tyrian looked to his lieutenants nervously and they returned the same expression back to him. Having no other options Tyrian decided to tell the truth for once.

"He was killed by one of your subservient Goddesses, my Mistress. She probably mistook him for a common thug as he did not leave the scene as quickly as he had been told to. But his death was a noble~"

"Silence you bug... I will have to take steps so that my underlings can be recognized. From now on, you all will wear pure black I think.... And will call yourselves the Black Hands of Death... Yes that sounds menacing enough.. . I will tell my girls to take a hands off approach to you all. Giving you free reign to do anything you wish without their interference."

Fayaa was impressed with her quick off the cuff ideas. Then she thought some more. Her eyes looking out of her top floor security headquarters window.

"You will begin murdering every worshiper of the false Gods that you can get your hands on. So many that they will scream for order. This will do...."

"But Goddess, they outnumber us ten, perhaps twenty to one. Could you possibly help us kill some of them?" Spoke Lucretius, one of Tyrian’s newer lieutenants.

Tyrian and the other’s eyes shot open with fear and disbelief.

This was Lucretius’s first visit to the security headquarters and Tyrian quickly realized his mistake in not briefing the now doomed officer.

Lucretius looked at the others to see why they were so shocked at his speaking without being asked to.

Then he was engulfed within a pink fist that brought him back to Fayaa’s irked looking face.

"What is your name, mortal? Oh never mind, it doesn’t matter anyway."

Fayaa dropped the two twin ladies to the table top and used her free hand to de-cloth Lucretius who began shrieking and begging for forgiveness. Of which Fayaa just ignored to quickly dip him in a bowl of reddish brown looking sauce once the man had been made nude.

Then he was raised back up to her lips where she swallowed him whole. Right down her throat in one gulp without even chewing.

Fayaa, licked her finger tips and when properly cleaned to her satisfaction looked back down at Tyrian and his men.

"Does anyone else wish to second guess the Goddess of War’s directives today? I am still kind of hungry after all.... Anyone?"

Fayaa gave them a cute innocent smile. The men didn’t dare move as she regarded them.

"Now go back to your own kind and carry out your Goddesse’s decrees. Use your heads to infiltrate and assassinate rather than your brawn. With their numbers that would seem obvious enough to an intelligent sentient being... Are you at least that? Let’s for your sakes hope so..

Mariana, take them out the way that you brought them in before I decide to make them all my lunch for the day."

A Titan peacekeeper who had been guarding Fayaa’s entrance door stepped forward and began callously doing as instructed.

"Yes Goddess." She sarcastically smiled.

The men meekly waited as the peacekeeper lifted them by the handfuls and shoved them into the carrying case like one would do with discarded dolls.

Taking a secret lift out of Fayaa’s room Mariana took them down to the first level and tipped them out of the plastic case roughly dropping them to the hard packed dirt of the back alley of the security headquarters building.

As they tried to right themselves and stand again the Titaness sneered down to them.

"I’d get those rags of yours dyed black as soon as possible you little runts.. Otherwise Matilda or even me is liable to squash another one of you by mistake, You all look alike from our vantage point. ha, ha, ha!"

Laughed the cruel Giantess as she lifted her flat leather sole threateningly over the group of terrified men before withdrawing it and disappearing behind the large metal door that she slammed shut behind her.

Tyrian rubbed his sore arm that he had landed on. Trying to kneed out the pain.

"Ok, you heard Goddess Bellona, we’ve got our tasks before us.. Let us go back to Shanty Town and commence to doing them."

The twelve men began to move along the shadows of the building walls, ever vigilant of the massive footfalls that the regular Titan colonists made going to and fro various locations for their various reasons.

**********

"And this is my office Mara... Your’s will be down the hall. Where all of the official data collection and communications will be coming in. Let’s go take a look at it."

Mara was impressed with her sister’s governorship suite... It had a big huge meeting room with several soft looking couches and chairs. There were futuristic looking consoles near the furniture where dignitaries or other important people could confer back with their superiors during meetings.

There was a very long wooden table with several chairs on each side which Mara assumed the regular higher ups to Glendoria’s cabinet would regularly meet.

Simple, to the point, and inexpensive were the furnishings to her sister’s everyday job was the mood that Mara got as she followed her down the hall to where she would be interning at.

Her father pulling the necessary strings to make the summer’s internship count as credits towards some future college degree should she decide to go that route.

At the end of the hallway was a door that led into a room with several computer terminals with 3 dimensional holographic displays giving various types of information to this segment of the colony’s governmental needs. There were weather patterns floating in the air as a young lady with short red hair watched and made notes.

There were other terminals with words and encrypted symbols that unlocked messages floating in bright amber and green colors above them just waiting for somebody to suck it up into a datapad and deliver it to the right location.

Mara saw a nerdy looking young lady, barely older than she was moving holographic symbols around in the air in order to interface with the mainframe computer system there. She had curly red hair, pail white freckled skin to compliment her thin frame. Dark rimmed glasses to make her look more intellectual than just plain silly, adorned her face as well. The glasses doing nothing to help the Roman costume that bedecked the rest of her body Mara noted.

"Hello Kariga.. This is my little sister who will be interning in this room with you. You said that you could use some help and here it is.."

Glendoria put her arm around Mara and brought her forward to meet the computer and communications technician.

The distracted com tech began backing out of the program that she was interfacing with in order to greet her new help.

Mara at once noticed a little human female sitting in a small portable plastic case the size of perhaps her fist, that looked like it was functioning more as a paper weight than anything else as it sat on a stack of official forms.

The human lady within had been sitting with her back to the glass and watching her master do her job as if she were watching a movie. Mara supposed there wasn’t much else the lady could do as she sat on a floor strewn with hay and not much more.

"Hello Mara, so you’re the new help!" Said the computer nerd while offering her hand for a introductory shake.

Mara returned the gesture and just meekly nodded her head being somewhat embarrassed still of the reasons for her being there in the first place.

Glendoria sensing the slight dip in etiquette chimed in for the sake of saving the all important first impression between the two.

"Mara’s kinda shy at first but once she get’s going you’ll wish she never got started!" The three ladies laughed at the poke.

"Mara is my little sister and she’s a wiz with these computers. She can pilot most anything already too! That’s part of the reason why she’s here right now interning but we wont go into that." Said Glendoria with a knowing grin to her sister.

Mara finally woke up after studying the computer systems spread throughout the room and suddenly came out of her shell. One of which at the far side of the room was contained within a sub-room that had a glass wall making the contents exposed to her. This had got her attention more than anything else.. It was a machine with all kinds of what appeared to be guns with long thick needles that narrowed to pin prick sized ends that were attached to robotic arms with injection hoses that fed into the nozzles at the end of the needle tipped guns.

There were several tanks that were feeding chemicals and other liquids into the machine which in turn fed the next stage of that medium to the injection nozzles of the guns to make hardened substances at the end product..

"Uhm Kariga... Is this a Pecular Bio Ecto Unit Array that I see here? Complete with 3D manufacturing capabilities? Because if it is, I have a friend who is even more gifted then I am with mechanical structure fractals and could be a big help here if you all needed something made!"

Kariga’s eyes widened with surprise at the strange question but wisely deferred it to Mara’s older sister.

"Well, one intern I could handle.. I don’t know about two, but if the Viceroy here decrees it then that would be up to her. I’m just a information handler in the end. And I see to it that information goes to the right sub-colonies here on Olympus. After that. I like creating new things that could help out some of our labor force as a hobby but that’s about the extent of it."

Mara’s eyes lit up again.

"So you’re trying to help the humans like my sister is doing?"

Kariga nervously looked over to the Viceroy for approval to which Glendoria smiled while nodding her approval.

"Go ahead Kariga, my sister here is one of us. And she’ll be trying to help us improve their lot as well. You can be as open with her as I am."

Kariga returned the smile.

"Yes Mara, I’m trying to help out like everyone else in our group is trying to do.. For example, the food dispensaries that give the humans Titan food was my invention. The way that the food is handed out got decided by others. But it was my brain child."

Kariga and Glendoria both frowned at the mention of Ilsa’s intervention of how food was dispensed but decided not to get into the politics of the colony with Mara so quickly.

Glendoria decided to leave these two to talk about the various computers and their capabilities while she tended to another errand that she was there for.

Kariga then directly addressed the Viceroy.

"Any word on when the Holosuits are going to arrive and further our cause?"

Glendoria nodded with a slight frown upon her lips..

"They should have already been here. I’ve got the shipping team looking into it. But in the meantime all goes as we’ve previously discussed. So not to worry Kari, as soon at they get here you’ll be the first to know.. Ha, ha.

Ok Kari, I’m going to leave you Mara while I head over to the Medical facilty and visit the Vet so that I can get Derrick his annual check up. I shouldn’t be gone more than an hour."

Kariga nodded her approval and began talking about the various networking terminals with an excited Mara who had completely forgotten that her older sister was even there as they began walking towards the interior of the large networking room.

Chapter 10 Uncomfortable Allies

Glendoria made her way out of the state governmental building with her purse slung over her shoulder.. It looked more like a water skin than anything else due to regulation décor but it still served the same purpose and held just as much as a normal purse would including her tiny passenger who she had only just now remembered on her way to have his semi-annual physical.

She’d need to bring their new guest here soon too once things had settled down some and he had acclimated. Getting him out of the capsule was the first hurdle and she was sure that it could be done without causing him too much trauma.. She just had to stay on top of things in the meantime. Her younger sister could be quite the devious one with her high intelligence and one had to get up early in the morning in order to get ahead of her.

As Glendoria walked through the market district she noticed that everything looked as a high end colony should.. With shops and trading kiosks strewn across the sidewalks. Futuristic buildings rose up high into the air, and although not skyscrapers, formidable in their own right.

*******

Derrick for his part was cramped within a small cardboard box. Every time the Titaness took a carefree step her hanging pouch would slam against her hip causing Derrick to do the same within the box.. It was very hot and dark too. He had no frame of reference which made motion sickness an ever recurrent threat, to lead to fits of vomiting from time to time depending on how long the trip would last. With just the constant method of being slammed against the thick paper walls to remind him that they were on the move. He absolutely hated to travel as a result of this.

Glendoria continued on her way to the medical facility noticing scampering wild humans running hither and there amongst the food stalls. She recalled that the hungrier that they got, the more daring they became in sneaking out of the arena and attempting theft at the markets as dangerous as that was for them. This she vowed would be brought up at the next board meeting.. A raising of the work food rations. It was the obvious solution that Ilse kept bucking on the grounds that they would lose their incentive to work if they had too many calories in their diet. At present it was at 1800. But Glendoria wanted it increased to at least 2500 due to the long days of constant manual labor that the work camp demanded.

Making sure that there were no hover craft lumbering dangerously along, she was just about ready to cross the street with her destination just on the other side when a large portly looking Titaness wrapped in a dirty white apron with a blue flowered bandanna upon her head that matched the color of her eyes growled out loud while stomping her foot.

"Little thieves! Take that, and that, and that!"

Glendoria hurried back to a stall of red tomatoes to try and engage what she feared was already too late.

Rounding the corner the heavyset middle aged lady was already scraping the remains of her last victim off of the bottom of her dirty leather sandal.

Glendoria looked down at the carnage that had passed.. Three horrible gore spots with burlap clothing twisted in amongst them. Obviously, three now deceased humans who had just died in a horrible fashion.

Glendoria cleared her throat in order to get the attention of the murderess. When the angered lady looked up her eyes widened. And then returned to their normal state.

"Viceroy.. Have you come to buy some fresh organic tomatoes? Hopefully not to steal any like these little rodents who I just dispatched tried?"

Glendoria got within a couple inches of the lady’s face, making sure to not step into the small fist sized pools of gore.

"Was that really necessary? Killing them? They’re just hungry. What would you do if you were worked half to death and starving? Perhaps go scavenging for food?

The merchant’s eyes narrowed as she looked up at the taller public official. A scowl forming upon her face. Her hands went to her hips in a universal dig in fashion of posture.

"I haven’t broken any laws Miss Viceroy. You know as well as I do that if they are caught committing a level two criminal act that they may be exterminated. The decree came out just yesterday by the way. So I haven’t broken any laws.. And if you don’t get out of my face, I’ll be forced to report you for harassment... Viceroy..."

Glendoria had read the new edict and had planned to overturn it with her friends in the committee and barring that, veto it at the next official board meeting. But in the meantime the lady was indeed within her rights due to the Security Chief’s new directive, no doubt endorsed by the Floor Speaker Gleebo herself .

"Perhaps you are within your rights Miss, but was it truly necessary? Couldn’t you have just put out a bowl of hemper seeds or pomeral flax? Anything? Besides murdering them?"

The merchant looked at Glendoria as if she had three eyes.

"Murder a human? When you shoot a Shaar in a wood pile is that considered murder? When you kill a Yalaebian rat for chewing a hole through your wall is that murder? Until the law tells me otherwise I will act in accordance with what it says today..

I caught them sawing off a piece of one of my tomatoes right within my reserve inventory basket under this very table making it useless to me now. I’d be glad to say that I was sorry for ending their miserable wrenched lives, if you can call what they do living. But if you were to be so kind as to make up for my loses say.. Ten fold?"

The lady made a bright toothy smile, proud of her sarcastic joke.

Glendoria forced herself to smile sweetly back even in lieu of the fact that it burned her cheeks to do so.

"Ok, I’ll buy ten tomatoes right now. Of course not at your inflated rate which I do notice is of an illegal ordinance amount. The exchange was one credit or less per vegetable food item when I checked things this morning and you have yours at 1.25 credits a full twenty five percent into the illegal category. But buy them I will, just to hear you say what you’ve just threatened to say."

Glendoria produced ten credits and handed them over to the lady’s plump hand.

The merchant’s hateful face was easily discernable as she put ten ripe tomatoes into a plastic bag and handed them over to the Viceroy.

A muffled apology was given as she was turning to reorganize her display.

"What did you say oh merchant of price gouging? I didn’t quite hear you?"

The large lady spun around and spitted her words at the taller lady.

"I said I was sorry.... Human lover!"

Glendoria smiled in victory.

"If I hear about you killing anymore of them I shall remember this offense which I just recorded with my data link device and have you placed into the penal colony over on the southern tip of Hispania faster than a Tup Shaka in a full out sprint."

Glendoria turned on her heal intent on leaving the bigot behind to clean up the bloody mess that she was now standing in. Furious at how things still were in spite of her efforts to sway the masses to the contrary.

z88;

*******

A fifty something lady with short white icey hair that pointed up in sharp spikes adhering together with gel in a lab coat of a identical color greeted the Viceroy as the nurse led her inside of the care unit.

"Hello Viceroy, you’re right on time. Did you bring your pet for his check up?"

"I sure did Dr. Crausey. And how have you been lately?"

Glendoria spoke her greetings as she fished out of her travelling pouch the carrying box that contained Derrick and casually placed it upon a steel sterile table. Unhinging the cheap little metal clasp on the cardboard door so that Derrick could exit.

Derrick didn’t waist any time exiting the box, squinting at the bright lights around him not being able to see much of anything at this point.

Before he knew what was happening though, he was engulfed within the Doctor’s fist and swung over to another table that had other instruments upon it.

"Oh, I’ve been quite busy lately with the latest directives that have come down the line. The peacekeepers, keep bringing me their convict humans to euthenize. Got a whole batch of them waiting in the infirmary right now just like the last batch that I collected. Did you want them now or after the examination?"

The doctor looked over at the Viceroy with a knowing smile. Glendoria had been arriving once a week to take a whole container full in order to sneak them back to the arena and let them loose. The two had agreed on this arrangement months ago. It didn’t matter who they were to the Viceroy either, everyone got rescued as far as she was concerned.. She figured the humans would sort out their own to whatever offense the culprits were guilty of if any.

Many humans were simply found on a Titan’s property and handed over to the Vetinarian office as per Gendoria’s repatriation decree. But with the peacekeepers and Speaker Gleebo’s directives it was getting more difficult to keep the colonists from taking matters into their own hands. The merchant just a few moments earlier being a stark reminder of how the situation was rapidly deteriorating as of late.

Glendoria watched the senior Veterinarian decloth Derrick as they made small talk with a few practiced movements of her fingers. Derrick, not being consulted or given the opportunity to do so on his own. Glen decided that it was best to pick and choose her battles, and having the Vet service cooperating with her humanitarian efforts was enough for now. Making an argument over whether a human needed to be asked to disrobe before just doing it could wait for another day far down the road. One battle at a time she reasoned.

Dr. Crausey sat down upon a comfortable chair and set Derrick’s cloths to the side. She then placed him within a aqua colored plastic bowl with a pink solution in it and dunked him within. Derrick could be seen taking a deep breath before going under.. Accustomed as he was to this procedure by now.

When he came out of the thick antibacterial liquid he was dunked a couple more times and them wrapped within a clean hand cloth only to be rubbed between the Giantesses fingers until she was satisfied that he was dry.

Then she began physically examining him. Every inch of his body was squeezed and prodded by her finger tips.. Even his manhood was probed and kneaded to the Doctor’s satisfaction. She asked him to cough a couple of times while she checked his privates for any evidence of a hernia.

Next she spread his hind quarters apart and penetrated his anus with a que-tip looking stick before extracting it and swabbing the outer most regions of that orifice as well. Then inserted it into a shoebox sized instrument which gave her a computer read out.

Once this embarrassing phase was over the Doctor moved the same instrument over his body and asked him to lie still and flat on his back which the nude Derrick obediently did.

Both ladies could see his body with several colors representing different organs.. The doctor noticed something and made a remark to his owner.

"I can see a 20 percent plaque build up in his right mitral valve.... You’ll want to take him off of sugars for about three months or more. I’ll give him a shot that will take that out of his heart vessel for now and thin his blood to the extent that he can pass it away through his urinary tract.

Been feeding him too many tasty treats lately, huh Viceroy?"

Glendoria giggled with the doctor as she moved the machine away and grabbed a syringe. She then got up and walked over to a glass cabinet where the heart medication was.

Glendoria looked at Derrick as he looked back at her with pleading eyes... Glen softly told him that is was almost over and to just hang in there a little bit longer. Taking a finger and rubbing it against the side of his face.

The doctor plopped back down in her chair and then rolled Derrick onto this belly. Then she cleaned his right hind cheek with a small cloth drenched in a substance that numbed the skin before placing her right hand fingers upon his back in order to steady him. Experience had taught her that many humans would get up and attempt to run in a blind panic at this point so it was always best to physically subdue them at this juncture of a proceeding. With her left hand she quickly without warning inserted the needle and plunged the medication into his behind.

Derrick could be seen gritting his teeth and squinting his eyes shut with pain as the doctor set the syringe aside and began massaging his buttocks in order to relieve his discomfort some.

"There we go little Derrick. See, that wasn’t so horrible. And the big bad doctor will help you with the boo boo too." She cooed as she continued to massage his backside.

Then without any notice she simply plucked him up and placed him in the palm of her hand to begin rubbing his sore spot once more. As she massaged him Glendoria decided it was a good time to tell her about another potential guest who was on the way over to her lab.

"Well Dr. Crausey, I might have another human for you to examine in a few days.. It depends on how quickly he comes along. I’m trying to ease him into things as it is now."

Dr. Crausey looked somewhat perplexed as she used her index finger to flip Derrick onto his back only to begin massaging his body as one might clean spots off of a drinking glass with soap spots to be rubbed away.

"That’s odd.. If it’s a human you just bring him over and I do my job. Are you trying to be shy about obtaining a second pet? You know, I have two little studs back at my apartment right now waiting for me to come home so that they can give me the best foot massage that money can buy. I’ve trained them very well you know."

Both ladies had another snicker with that gross bit of intimate information.

"No doctor.. I’m not doing that. Besides it will be my younger sister who will be bringing him in. He will belong to her. But he’s a special case... He’s actually from Earth."

The doctor’s eyes widened with astonishment.

"From Earth? Really? Lauria would probably love to get her hands on him. You know how interested she is in Earthlings and all. She has some wild theory that if they are left to their own devices that they develop must faster than even we do. And that Earth is a prime example of that." Said the busy doctor as she continued to rub Derrick’s front side.

"Yes, well then now perhaps you understand why we are handling him with kid gloves at this point. I’m afraid that too much rough treatment and sensory overload might have serious psychological repercussions perhaps even leading to a mental break down."

The doctor’s eyes became more focused on the human in the palm of her hand as if she was manipulating something with her finger tips.

"I’d like to run a full body scan on him and some other ethnobiological procedures just to make sure that his DNA matches the humans of our realms. And a dozen or more tests to be quite honest. I’ll tag him too, of course.

I’d need him for at least two days maybe three to finish all the tests and make sure that he doesn’t present any unknown viruses that could be detrimental to the colony. He should probably be brought in right away for that matter." The doctor said looking thoughtfully at the human that she continued to manipulate with her fingers as if she was in deep contemplation for that moment.

"Yes, well, give me a week or so and I’ll have Mara bring him over. I’m sure he’ll be fine by then. And I’ll take full responsibility if contamination results from him in the meantime.. We plan on keeping him inside at first anyhow and I assure you that she’ll bring him straight here once I think he’s ready... Uhm.. Are we done now?"

The Doctor looked unconvinced, but decided not to press the issue.

"We sure are, aren’t we Derrick?" The doctor asked with a naughty looking grin on her face. She gently handed him back to Glendoria who at once noticed that he was fully erect. Her face flushed red with embarrassment as she quickly and discreetly sandwiched him between both palms and placed him within his travel box, pretending not to have noticed what the doctor had just done to tease and arouse him.

Again, one battle at a time she reasoned. Disrespectful and non-life threatening abusive behavior would have to wait for sunnier days too. Her fragile alliances were too important to risk at this point unfortunately.

"Ok, well thanks a lot Dr. Crausey, Is there anything else that I need to know about Derrick’s visit today?"

"Well, other than the slight plaque build up he’s extremely healthy as you may have just noticed and his good, verses bad bacteria results are optimal. He’s as fit as a race horse for now. And I’m definitely looking forward to meeting this human that you all now have in your possession.. Perhaps your sister could tell me how he came into her acquisition.. Or is that to be kept a state secret? "

The doctor continued to coyly smile at the embarrassed Viceroy who she had skillfully managed to double down on the discomfort factor with her words and actions relishing in her cunningness.

Glendoria felt outclassed and embarrassed once again as she did her best to smile and thank her before taking the plastic box full of humans and putting them in a discreet official diplomatic postage pouch and leaving the coy doctor behind in order to finish her last task of repatriating the poor souls back to the arena before heading along home with Mara.

The Federation Chronicles

Olympus Colony

Chapter 11 Goddess Artemis

"Do you have any items to declare Viceroy? That’s a rather thick bag that you’ve got there once again." The gate guard laughed..

"No Cyn, I don’t have anything to declare and could you send the security team away once again for another hour break compliments of the state?"

Both ladies nodded to each other as the Viceroy swiped her access card opening the gates. Cyn called the two peacekeepers and gave them the good news which they were once again most appreciative of. Guarding the ever more bellicose humans was becoming more and more of an annoying pain in their behinds.

So seconds later the Shanty Town arena was emptied of all Federationers save Glendoria who was slowly making her way down the narrow roads with ever widening shadows obscuring the twists and turns due to the evening setting of the Poseidon star above.

As she skillfully avoided some of the more foolish humans who had not gotten out of the way quick enough her eyes fell on the statue that had been built in her image. Again, the emotion of embarrassment settling in for the second time today. But press on she did to the usual place in which she repatriated the hapless humans who she had saved from extermination.

Near the statue a plaza opened up giving her enough room to spread her legs apart and stand normally. Just before setting the case of trapped humans down she regarded the effigy of herself. It was beautifully carved and depicted a very beautiful lady.

Glenoria flushed with embarrassment one more time.. Did they really think that she was that pretty? Was she? Perhaps they had taken liberties in their misguided ways. But she found herself straitening a stray lock of her shining hair never the less if only to measure up to what she was seeing. They had done a wonderful job.. When was she going to break the depressing news that this was so not the case. She was not a Goddess.

She ate, drank, slept, belched, eliminated food and liquids just as any other mortal must do... But could these misguided notions be used in a constructive manner in the short interim before she explained to them the true nature of things?

Could she unite them and teach them how to make their living conditions more tolerable. Or better yet, to escape this place and start a new civilization of their own? A thought that she’d been kicking around for a while now.. Humans who would perhaps share crop... Who would be needed within the Federation for better reasons than of lowly pets.. But of farmers or whatever could spawn from such humble beginnings. This moon could become a home world to them if she could convince them to play their cards right. This would be the ultimate destiny for them if she were successful. There were so many concentrated here now.. It could work if she had the time, the luck, and they the patience...

Glendoria was roused out of her dreamy trance by a cadence that rose up from her feet.

"Artemis, Artemis, Artemis." The throngs of humans chanted in unison.

"Oh, I’m so sorry people.... Here you go! Here are your friends.. Please convince them to stay inside of the arena when not working on the plantation. It is becoming more and more unsafe for you anywhere else right now." A distracted Giantess said to the tiny humans as she lowered the plastic case down to the plaza ground and opened it’s side lid.

As the humans began to run out they were met by family members.. Mothers embraced children and fathers hugged wives.

Glendoria had another gift up her thong today too. Opening her diplomatic pouch again she began removing the tomatoes that she had bought earlier as she sat on the ground.

She removed her stencil pen and activated the laser option to which she began cutting the large tomatoes into tiny slices.. Or at least tiny to her. She didn’t like setting the tomatoes on the ground as it seemed demeaning for them to have to take their scraps from there so she looked around and spied a tapestry that was in the likeness of Fayaa.. Smiling she pulled it down from it’s post and laid it out like a larger tarp and began placing her cut slices upon it.

The humans at once rejoiced and began running up to it. Taking what they could for their families and themselves.

Glendoria was smiling and very proud of her magnanimous gesture. "Was this all that it really took to make them love you? Small mundane food gifts like this?" She pondered.

She watched them clamor for a little while longer making sure that no pushing or shoving developed.. Remarkably, nothing of the sort happened. She was happy to realize that some of them were even directing the distribution of the slivers that she had cut up. They wore a white six pointed star upon their upper chests.. Glendoria wondered if they were some type of impromptu police force. "Had they really organized that quickly already?" She wearily pondered.

With her hour of undisturbed time close to an end Glendoria got to her feet and watched them for a little while longer before a mixed group of men and women approached her.. From that group a single lady broke from it and walked up to her and bowed. Having done that she looked up at her and made the universal pet sign with hands outstretched signaling that she wished to be picked up.

Glendoria obliged by slowly bending down, encircling her within her fist, and gently bringing her all the way up to face level.

"And who might you be little sweet thing?" Glendoria smiled, still a little bedazzled by everything that she had just taken in this evening.

The tiny human kneeled upon her palm.. It embarrassed Glendoria yet looked cute at the same time.

"Oh great benevolent Goddess Artemis.. I am your most loyal servant. I am Kiko the high priestess of Delphia and I have many sisters who share my devotion. We have set up a temple to you and wish to know what kind of sacrifices you’d demand of us?"

Glendoria’s eyes widened into huge circles at the implications of what she was just asked by the tiny lady kneeling in her palm.. The lady would be recognized by the reader to have a very Asiatic look about her. Most likely of the Japanese variety. Jet black hair back in a dignified bun. Very small slanted brown eyes with a pure white toga covered her from neck to knee. It was a much more fancy gown then the usual brown drab burlap cloths that the masses were wearing.

She looked up expectantly to Glendoria with a smile of pure trust and pleasure of gaining the honor of being held by the Goddess .

"Uh, I don’t wish anything to be sacrificed on my behalf. I don’t think it necessary."

But the Asian priestess was not to be deterred.

"Why not great one? All Gods require sacrifices wether it be animals, food, or even humans. We do not wish to displease you and I beg that this is not a test and apologize for not knowing what you wish of us at this point in time."

Glendoria could only smile at the poor priestesses naivety. But this might be a lucky break for her and her team she shrewdly considered.. Perhaps she could get the other humans to rally behind this lady and she could unite them and in turn help them protect themselves more readily and even hear their requests and needs rather than through second hand accounts of their pets.

"Well high priestess... Would you mind if I took you back to Olympus and continued this conversation there. I’m sure there’s all kinds of things we need to talk about and iron out in the interests of helping your people." Glendoria smiled, becoming more confident with her proposal and the advantages that it could give with a direct channel of communication being made.

"Oh, nothing would please me more Goddess Artemis... I would love to go to your sacred abode and hear of your edicts and pass them on to my brethren.

Just a second!"

Kiko quickly leaned over Glendoria’s palm and whistled down to the pack of religious higher ups wearing similar clothing to her and who were still watching the development in earnest.

"Zyza, you will be in charge of the sisters while I am gone with our great Goddess. I will bring back news and possibly great wondrous items! Wish me luck!"

After which the excited and smiling little high priestess quickly moved back to the center of Glendoria’s palm, bringing her knees up and hugging them with her arms, akin to an excited girl.. Her face awash with a beautiful smile of glee.

As Glendoria began walking away the group of priests noticed a large metallic spear of some type with glowing buttons emanating upon it. The slowly approached and surrounded it.

Zyza immediately assess the situation and declared in earnest.

"A gift from the Goddess! We must take it back to the temple at once and place it upon the altar of faith! Guys, we’ll need you to lift it back to the temple.. Kiko will be so proud of us!"

Glendoria in her excitement had forgotten her stencil pen...

************

Yegori was woken by thunderous voices that rattled the plexiglass walls of the box in which he was being contained.

They seemed to be quarreling voices at that. Before long the strange clicking and mewing sounds started to become strangely familiar until they were Russian sounding all together.

Still wiping the bleariness out of his eyes he kept the blanket over his head and tried to gain as much intelligence as he could before this moment of frank speech gave way to a much more guarded dialogue should they know that he was awake.

A very young distressed voice rattled his cage once again as it sounded off in a most distressed sounding octave.

"But Glendoria you told Me not to go to plan C, not Mir. Mir extracted him without harming a single hair on his head. In fact his ship is still intact too minus the door I tore off of it this morning."

Then a more baritone adult sounding voice that even penetrated his bones responded in equally spirited passion.

"You used deception on your personal servant Mara. Which means you used deception on me as well. Plan C was not to come for several more days and only if his health continued to deteriorate!"

"Well, Glen thanks to me he is out now and we don’t have to wait for his health to get worse. Now we can begin training, I mean teaching him immediately how to live and survive in our world which he’s going to have to do. And he’s my pet and I wanted him out and now he’s out so there!

If you don’t’ like it then send me home! I’d much prefer that anyway."

Then Yegori felt massive footfalls that shook his little bed along with him as the teenager stomped off in a fit of anger.

z88;

After which the room’s lighting was eclipsed by darkness and the more mature voice sounded like it was right upon him.

"I didn’t mean for that to happen to you Earthling. I wanted you to leave on your terms the way it should have been. Please forgive me for my bungling mistake here.

When the light returned Yegori pulled the blanket from his head and began to look around.

He was definitely inside some cell of some kind with glass walls from what he could determine. And interrogation room perhaps? Down away from the foot of the bed he saw a wall that had many living amenities attached to it. He had to sit up in order to see it all..

There was a shower stall. A toilet and sink. There even appeared to be some strange type of flat television screen on the wall which looked very futuristic from the b/w units that the state handed out to the workers.

A strange looking box directly across from him near the opposite wall that was pushing cool air into the room.

A new set of clothing that looked like it was from an ancient time was at the very end of his bed too. It looked like pure white cotton that reflected a rainbow hue from each thread.

Discerning that he was naked Yegori looked around for his pressure suit and seeing it nowhere inside of his glass prison, quickly began putting the simple cloths upon his body.

Once fully clothed Yegori got up and began exploring his room prison. He was curious about the flat screen on the wall and the other gadget to the right of it.

This was all so bazaar for the Cosmonaut... He had gone from the land, to Earth orbit, to a strange space ship... To a massive residence... And finally to this glass room with the living fixtures that made him feel like he’d be staying here longer than the other places he’d been in quite recently.

He could almost accept this if it were not for the giants.. A smiling giantess had taken him right out of space... A smiling giantess had drugged him and stripped him naked before dropping him upon the bunk bed only a couple of feet away.

"Was this Brobdingnag?" He wondered. He had read the story as a young man and could now see things from Gulliver’s perspective up close and personal. And it was scary being the littlest one in the room he surmised.

What did these giants want from him? Information on how to invade Earth? He’d let them invade the USA but never mother Russia... This could become a battle of the wills.. He would have to draw upon his extensive training to protect the ones that he loved back home...

The way in which that dark skinned lady had simply picked him up several stories above the ground and deposited him here was not lost on him either.

They were so huge yet they looked human. What forms of torture did they have designed for him in order to gain useful intelligence to be used against him and his countrymen?

How could he outwit these beings when they already appeared to hold all of the cards?

He would need to devise an escape plan and take in all of his surroundings.

Yegori began looking up at the ceiling that was amazingly open. There were massive walls beyond that with a sky instead of a ceiling...

Then he looked around for things to stack so that it would be more easy to climb to freedom at the top.. But everything seemed bolted and fixed to the floor. Perhaps he could make a lasso out of his bed cover and sheet he pondered looking up at the ceiling again..

"Oh, your awake! Thank the Empress for that and about time!"

Yegori spun around to see a massive smiling face of a young teenage girl who was beaming a monstrously sized grin while she seemed to be chewing gum from what he could tell as her lips smacked continually.

Yegori began to back away to the opposite wall.

The greedy looking happy girl at once spoke while moving her hand into the terrarium. But her arm was caught by a much larger giantess.

"No grabbing, we agreed on that too."

The young giantess’s grin turned into a sour frown.

"I wasn’t going to grab him Glen I was just going to offer my hand to him."

"Yeah, I’ll bet you were. But anyway let me talk to him a little and we’ll decide if he’s ready to come out and talk to us some more."

The younger giantess shook her head and pulled up a chair placing her elbows upon the white table surface propping her face up with her palms to stare directly at him.. Grinning once more..

Yegori noticed that another human was in the hand of the larger giantess and eagerly staring down on him. She looked up at the giantess and shouted.

"Is he a bad human Goddess Artemis? Are you about to smite him? I’ve seen the other goddesses smite bad humans lately too and.."

"Shhhh, hush little one. We will talk soon enough. But for now I’d like to talk to this man so if you don’t mind I’m going to let my younger sister hold you and take you to her room while me and him talk things over just like you and I will do very soon."

Glendoria playfully scrubbed the little Asian looking ladies hair and handed her over to Mara who was not too pleased with the latest development.

"Go on Mara.. Take her to your room and feed her. I’ll call you back out in a little while. And I don’t want you playing with her either.. .She’s a very important human to our cause so treat her with dignity and respect. She didn’t get her evening meal so please go see to it that she does within the confines of your room.. Now run along."

Mara closed her eyes with a scowl as she absently received the tiny priestess correctly deducing that leaving now and listening to her sister’s commands were the most prudent thing to do in lieu of how angry her older sister was at her already.

Glendoria sadly looked down at the tiny Earthling.. This was going to be very difficult conversation indeed. She hoped he could endure some of the revelations that were about to be made known to him.

With a pained sympathetic expression she leaned very close to the terrarium and began addressing the confused looking Cosmonaut.
