Yeah. Hikari came out to be a bad ass and it won't be the last time we see her new transformation powers. I wrote the chapter as a way to show the main bad guy was a threat so serious that Keith and Susan were nowhere near strong enough to take on... yet. As for Fiona, I really hated killing her off but it served a few purposes. One, it showed all to real for them the stakes of losing. Far better than a few random "knew for a few days" characters. And second, I needed to show that as cocky and confident Keith is, deep down he really has issues. Issues that will be brought to light in a big way brutally in the next chapter.
