I’ve been rereading these stories recently. I can’t believe how much they play with my heartstrings while still being fetish stories.

The last one when I read it almost 6 years ago was what sold me on the idea of macrophilia literature in general, before then I always thought they were all smutty words on a paper that most would forget after getting their rocks off.

The Fate series showed me how much potential there is in adapting the macrophilia to writing. As a kid discovering the fetish for the first time I always imagined what a world like this would be like, where giants as opposed to being monsters were just bigger versions of us. This series has really brought giants to life and added so much complexity to the relationship between giants and humans.

When giants like this exist, essentially just big humans who are superior in every way that challenges your sense of place in the world. Even more so when those higher beings consider you to be food, we assume they’re in the wrong but if giants are supplanting our purpose in the universe then are we in the wrong to fight back? Is it misplaced hubris speaking when we consider our lives to worth more than the nourishment of a much more important being?

And for hunters specifically, you fight to protect your family from the bigger people at the top of the food chain or to make sure others don’t suffer the same loss that maybe your own family did like with grey. But then the question is have you become the same monsterous threat to the giants? Sure you’re not eating them but every giant you kill is someone’s daughter, son, sister, brother. Who ultimately don’t know any better, to them humans are just another of many food sources.

I wonder, if a hunter kills giants regularly, and slowly wiped out a family of all but one, if that giant would grow up to a life of crime, stealing, and stricken with grief and hatred for humankind, Grey would’ve become his own demons, he would’ve done to that giant what another giant did to him back at the village of his childhood.

This is my favourite fantasy world in any medium for those reasons alone. All that and it still delivers on what the fetish is about.

Sorry for rambling, it would just feel weird if after getting an account here I wouldn’t leave a review for the story that got me into writing and roleplaying in this community.

Author's Response:

Sizeist88 thank you for such a heartfelt and glowing review and dont worry you weren't rambling. A lot of the things that you touched on were things that I was hoping to accomplish when I first started writing this series. Honestly Ive always wanted to publish a full book at some point in my life and I started this series as a way to practice and improve my writing while at the same time just getting some stories that involved giantess out of my head. I wasnt sure if many people would enjoy it because of how much focus I put into the nonfetish aspect of things but from reviews Ive gotten so far it seems like its gone over pretty well. Im sure there are those who this isn't what they are looking for and thats fine, but I knew myself as a narrative minded person I wanted to see more stories with more depth and detail in thier world and characters and I know Im not the first to do that in this space. Ive have stories and writers of my own that inspired me to start but I am happy that I contributed what I could.

All that aside I have to apologize for the multi-year absence. Needless to say things got kinda crazy in both my peraonal life and the world, lots of job and housing changes, relationships shifts for both good and bad, and basically just writers block and a lack of interest to write. Though you posted this review at a good time as ive recently(as in literally a few days ago) started returning to work on the series. I wont say things have super improved, in the middle of another transition of things right now but I have always intended to return and finish this. The next chapters have been difficult since they are the set up for the finale and Ivd probably rewritten them like twice now, that and besides anytime I return to an old work I always have fresh eyes and want to tweak little details. I have too much of a perfectionist mentality when it comes to any project I do despite having none of the skills to make things perfect. But good news is that the next 3-4 chapters are pretty much written, just need to be edited and touched up a bit. Which I wont lie is a bit of an undertaking considering how long they are but I do hope to get them out soon...ish. No time frame on that.

Amyway sorry for my rambling response BUT tldr;Thank you for the amazing heartfelt review! Sorry Ive been gone so long but I hope to be putting out more soon.

In the meantime I hope you kick ass and end up making some amazing stories yourself. This community could always use more narrative driven fetish content for people like us to enjoy.

you are by far the best writer in this genre and sub-genre.

Author's Response:

Oh shit, thank you timescribe. It's nice to recieve a short yet postive review from a veteran like yourself.

This story is an excellent fantasy giantess story. I love this world, a world of giants that see smaller humans as food. I love the characters, Grey and Zeke and poor Nia. I love the setup of the Hunters and everything you're doing with this. I've really enjoyed the last few chapters and think you have an excellent voice. Not much I could add for constructive criticism though it's sad poor Nia hasn't been mentioned since her swallowing. I know she probably isn't but I hope she's still alive. #remembernia

Great story! XD

Author's Response:

Haha, don't worry no matter what I shall always remember Nia fondly. Thank you so much for a very thoughtful review and I look forward to delivering on hopefully more quality chapters.

I love everything about Fate of a Hunter. Well written with a good story. I also love how the tiny people are able to fend for themselves against the giantess. Makes things more interesting. I hope to see more giantess fighting action in future chapters as Grey outsmarts them and comes out on top, successful in being able to subdue his larger foe.

Author's Response:

Thank you, I'm a fan of the work you've put out so far as well.  Making a series where the protagonist kinda gets that fight back menality is kinda why I started up writing, there wasn't enough of it presnent in this "genre" of stories; if you wanna call it that. It's kinda implied in my username. Anyway thank you for the review and I'll strive to keep up and improve the quality as I go.

Dang. . . . This one is walking the line between feel good and pretty dark.  Seemingly Important characters getting Killed Off Left And Right. I respect that. This Is A pretty Good Story That I'm Glad I Checked Out.

Author's Response:

Thank you, its a difficult line to walk sometimes. Never want to make it too dark. Anyway thank you for the review and glad you're enjoying it thus far.

Great chapters. I’m liking the overall story quite a bit. I kind of knew that Nia wouldn’t last long but that’s the way these stories go. Looking forward to what comes next.

Author's Response:

Nia's fate and ultimate place in the story was something I contemplated a lot about and is probably one of the aspects I've changed the most going through multiple drafts, evening going as far back as the original story. Anyway thank you for the continued viewership. I'm already hard at work on the next batch of chapters.

Even though I’m not a fan of core I gotta say, very nice character development and world building. I hope Nia survives, though judging by the ship between Jule and Grey she’ll die because of plot convenience lol.

I feel like it’s a shame that the view count is that low.

Author's Response:

Thank you for the review, I put a lot-probably too much-time into making the characters and the world work narrivetly so posts like these really help to see what I'm doing so far is worth the effort. I'm also happy to hear that someone not into vore is still enjoying the story.

How did I miss these stories? This is great stuff. I love the fantasy setting, the Hunter Order, and the giantess interaction, especially the emphasis on vore. I also like Grey's rather bold attitude around the giants. I hope he's able to save Nia somehow. I look forward to seeing where this goes and learning more about the mystery surrounding Amelia.

Author's Response:

Wow, thank you! I'm a big fan of your work Pixis and it's your stories that inspired me to attempt writing-let alone post-a story like this. So this review means a lot and I hope to get more out soon in a more timely fashion.

It’s great to have you back. I read your first story a few months ago and was disappointed that it had been so long since you had written anything. It was a great story and I’m glad it’s finally getting a continuation. I can’t wait to read more of this.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for your kind encouragement, I hope to get the next 4 chapters out shortly. Hopefully within this month or the next. After that I cannot promise when the next chunk will be out. Aside from doing this as a hobby I like to take long breaks inbetween edits to come in with a fresh perspective and re-evaluate the direction I want to take the story and to further make sure I am not veering away from what I want this series to be. Though just hearing that even a few people enjoyed my story keeps me dedicated to it, and I can safetly promise that even if it takes years i'm dedicated to completeing this series. Again thank you for the kind words of encouragement and I hope to keep it up.
