You all need to get a new google.  I got lots of variations.  I got luck, logic, reason, right & wrong and smart.  Though, I’m glad Sersi thought she had a 50/50 chance and got it wrong.  Hehe.

I come from a town kind of like Oliver’s and lots of people don’t lock their doors, so don’t think I was being cheeky about Oliver not locking his phone.  I certainly don’t see it as a plot device.  I would tend to call him a genuine gentleman, the sort who expects others to be at his level of civility,  at worst he was being clever, deliberately leaving the door open for the trap he and Deacon set.

And thinking more clearly about the deserve/love choice that she made, it might have had something to do with the image of a hungry weasel that popped into her head when she though of the word “deserve.”

Author's Response:

Lol, finally the Omega luck doesn't pan out. Oliver just never had a reason to be secretive is all. If only I could insert a picture of a rabid weasel

Sersei sending the wrong text response to Deacon is a fatal error.  This mistake alerts Deacon that something is wrong and that the Omegas are behind it. Add to this error Brooklyn's nosing around and Deacon will surely know something is up. It seems to me that simple phone call to Oliver's cell would help to settle Deacon's concerns about Oliver's status.  If Oliver can respond to a text message, he should be able to answer the phone. If there is no answer, clearly Oliver is in trouble.  At that point, the logical next step is to contact Stan. The Omegas are in trouble...

Author's Response:

Good point. The question is - If the omega influence is so pervasive and insidious, what can Stan and Deacon do? Knowing and having the abiity to do something about it are two different things. Add to that, they have no idea about the shrinking, just like oliver didn't. Unless they are warned, they might be walking straight into a trap that might find the omega with two more little toys to play with...

Well of course he didn't lock his phone.  How else could the wrong message be sent?

There is a weird kind of irony here too.  Sersi has to choose between deserve and love...and she picks the wrong one....it kind of seems like there's a metaphore for her life there.  Or something.  God it's late...don't review when it's late pix.

Thanks for hooking us up Duggernaut.  Good stuff!

Author's Response:

I could have had one of the sisters crack his phone, I just thought not needing to lock speaks more to Oliver's genuine nature. I think you might be right, some Freudian slip choosing love and knowing she doesn't deserve someone like Oliver. It should be fun as the tapestry of deceit begins to unravel.

I confess that I had to do a little re-reading to see if Sersei was finally making a mistake. And the answer is... YES!!!!!

Oliver and Cam might have a better fighting chance than they did before.

Author's Response:

Sersei outsmarted herself and chose the wrong response. the question now is how will Deacon play this?

Hold up! Timeout!

Why doesn't Oliver have the auto lock feature on his phone???? It's so obvious so no one can snoop thru your messages while you sleep!

Oliver sets up this code with Deacon, but doesn't lock his phone with a passcode?? Despite his cleverness, Oliver doesn't seem to interact with strangers a lot.

Also, I thought googling the phrase was some bs but when I googled it just now, I literally got the same 2 results too.

Also, when Deacon and Oliver made the code, there were 2 answers and Sersei only looked up one. That means no matter what, Deacon won't trust the sender.

Now, Sersei screwed up both answers so Deacon should use this to his advantage and set a trap. I thought Deacon was that dumb kid that loves girls, but after seducing that bar girl, he is as clever as Cam and Oliver. Deacon should ask a Sersei/Oliver to meet up so he can show her/him something. Of course, it shouldn't be a busy place where Deacon can't identify the person. He should think of a nonbusy place like a park bench with no one around. Deacon hides far away with binoculars and watches as Sersei circles the area. Deacon noticed a girl walking around frequently and believes he found the mysterious person texting him.

Since Oliver is I believe a freshmen, Deacon should make some freshmen required events mandatory. Deacon could fake a response to Sersei saying that she got the code right and tell her to attend this so and so event. .......Actually, I don't know where I'm going with this.

Point is, Deacon knows Oliver is in trouble and Deacon better call the cops on Sersei. Problem is that Sersei will seduce all the cops. Hmm. Maybe some female police officers. Darn, Sersei seduced them too. How about the....nevermind. Sersei can get away with it all.

I can't wait for the next chapter!

Author's Response:

Oliver has never had too much cause or concern to worry about locking his phone. Oliver is clever and resourceful, but he is also trusting and a little naive in some ways. Yep, I tested the google response too before I included it, just to make sure :) Things are starting to get interesting!
