Irwin Allen's LAND OF THE GIANTS. What else?

:-)

Author's Response:

Much obliged.

All the time humming “thank god I’m a country boy.”

This is why we root for Oliver, because it pays off.  He’s not gonna go “I guess I’m a dumbass who want’s to get eaten.”  I do hope he figure’s out the meaning of Ol Weasel Munchie’s “visit” and takes precautions.

Gearing up was a risk, but since he has a time line in mind, he might be planning another move.  Back to familiar, probably already searched, territory (basement or Maeve’s)  or forward?

Great characters in a great story.  Isn’t that what we all want? Thanks for hooking us up Duggernaut.  You rock!

Author's Response:

Absolutely right and now that he knows them for who they are, the veneer doesnt quite shine the way it used to and he is using his own wiles to outwit, outsmart, and outlast the girls.

Oliver is still fucked despite this moment of success. Melody might discover her items tampered with before the next night and Oliver will really be in trouble.

Also, Sersei will be bound to check this room again, and possibly scan every crack and crevice there.

Oliver didn't want to help Bear. But what if it was Cam? If it was Cam, would Oliver go and try to save him, or will oliver be able to be patient? Hmm. Some food for thought.

Melody really enjoys her panties. Lucky bear. Color coded panties to suit as a home for him. It's like painting his interior walls with a new color every day. Or he gets new blankets to sleep with.

Melody seems to perform similar antics to Bear that Sersei seems to be interested in. Oliver should take notes. It's Omega Pi 101, and he has to learn fast or his finals will screw him over.

I can't wait for the next chapter!

Author's Response:

It does seem as if regardless of his ability to remain undetected, Oliver is in a pickle, or is a pickle! Time may well be growing very short for mini hero. As for Bear, talk about one hell of a cave to hibernate in!

Oliver is becoming quite the action hero. Now let's see if Deacon and Stan are just as sharp.

Author's Response:

Oliver is just getting warmed up, :)

Okay! Fess up; what inspired this particular brilliant homage? That old movie DR. CYCLOPS? Or LOTG?

Author's Response:

I honestly cannot say whence arose the inspiration, other than this seemed to be what this character might do. Maybe something I saw as a kid? Dunno, LOTG?

It's great seeing this resourceful side of Oliver.  We all knew he was a common sense, no nonsense kind of character.  I also love the kind of decent, country gentleman he is.  That said, let us consider what he has experienced in the last few days.  His roommate and best buddy Cam was, abducted, assaulted and was who knows where being subjected to who knows what kind of torture, all with the approval and at the direction of his own sister who lied and covered up the crime.  He just witnessed how one of these "ladies" treated Bear, completely objectifying and dehumanizing him to be nothing more than a sex toy. Lastly, we have his own personal experience.  He has been drugged, assaulted and turned into this thing he is now, a small shadow of his former self.  He doesn’t know the total motive for these actions, but he knows what has been done and after witnessing Bear's predicament, what Sersei and the other Omegas intend to do to him.  He knows that every woman he has ever known (with the exception of his former girlfriend back home) has deceived him as part of this grand, far reaching conspiracy to do this thing to him.  Sersei, Brooklynn, Harmony, Vesper, Edith, and of course his own loving mother.  All of them working in concert to first direct him here and put him into this situation. We just witnessed his complete rage when he fully understood the betrayal of these "ladies".  It just seems like "He rarely thought of ladies in a derogatory sense, but right now, the word bitch flashed neon in his mind" does not adequately describe the anger and raw emotion he must be feeling.  But then again, he is a country gentleman.  I know what I'd be saying to myself in that situation and I'd be just getting warmed up with "bitch"...

This is amazing work and I’m enjoying it all with chapters being cranked out on a regular basis.  Please keep up the great work… ;)

Author's Response:

Thanks Shrink! Oliver does seem to possess a chivalrous heart and gentlemanliness, someone who might give up his seat in a lifeboat for a woman or a child so for him to use the b word is a pretty strong statement! I'm with you, i think my choice of words would be somewhat saltier. There is an old saying about nice guys and where they finish though...
