I would say that the honey reference is Oliver’s way of acknowledging the ‘Megs beauty and predatory nature. In this case he is the fly,wistfully admitting to himself how they caught him.
There’s an implied “Ya got me, honey.”

I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure he's better off not waiting until the wee hours (heh) of the morning. They might post a spotter at that point...though not on the first night. But pretty soon, i expect there to be traps and sentries.
He's siezed the initiative and that feels like the right move. I'm also pretty sure he was better off not going for Maeve's phone. Can't see a way to make that work in this circumstance.
