So how does it work?  Every member of Omega Pi basically pledges to give their first-born son to the sororiety? Suprised so many women are willing to make that trade.

Author's Response:

Thanks for the read and review! My intent was not that every sister would be required to provide a son. It is seen as an honor to be able to give back to the sorority as opposed to a heavy price - though for Oliver's mother, he is her only child and thus far it appears as if she was one of the ones chosen to shoulder the obligation. I havent refined it yet, though as Oliver gets closer to unraveling the mystery, I will certainly try to expand on the notion.

@Duggernaut: I was actually asking about how Cam's mom felt about Cam's situation, though I can see how that wasn't clear.

Author's Response:

Apologies, Cam's mother has multiple children and has obviously confided in Sersei at some point about the legacy, gaining both an ally and confidant, Different story for Oliver's mom though.

“My little man all grown up and headed to university,” she said, voice quavering, slightly rounded but pretty face expressive and reflecting the heavy emotion in her heart as she looked at her only child.

There's more to her feelings there than she let on.

The Omega Pi oath is a sacred trust, a solemn promise that shall never be broken, shall never be compromised and shall endure long after each one of us as individuals have passed through the hallowed halls of academia. It is a lifelong pledge from one sister to another to uphold the values, virtues, and integrity of Omega Pi’s ideals and unwavering pursuits.

As a sisterhood, Omega Pi is greater than any single one of us. In the end we believe it is the little things that make all the difference.

At first, you think that the last sentence is the meaningful one, but the rest is turning out to be very important as well.

Author's Response:

Very astute, somebody's been paying attention.

Oliver's mom is an ex-Omega Pi? Ooooooh! The most ominous plot twist, yet.

Author's Response:

So it would seem :)

Ok. Why does the step dad sound like another Duggernaut? It's like every guy in this story is making jokes or talking about girls. That conversation felt like friend to friend rather than dad to son.

And now al the ladies are part of Omega Pi. What a coincidence. Cam's mom, Oliver's mom too.

Whoa, the dorms are not coed and have bathrooms down the hall? That sucks. Makes me feel grateful of my dorm. :)

Sweater meat? Wtf. I never heard that one before haha.

I can't wait for the next chapter!

Author's Response:

I wanted Stan to come off as the 'friend' step dad as opposed to the dad dad. He calls oliver son, but oliver addresses him by his name. Sweater meat, yeah, i thought it would be funny coming from Stan who was doing his best to not oogle women the day they dropped Oliver off.

Wow it completely slipped my mind that Oliver's mom could be in on it too. I wonder how much influence she had (if any) on his choice to go to a college with a chapter of that particular sorority. And it looks like we might get some light shed on what kind of rumors are floating around campus due to the fates of people that get involed with the girls. I've always enjoyed the parts where the character starts to dig deeper into the mystery (and himself into the hole) the most so I have a feeling I'm really forward to the coming weeks.

Author's Response:

It would seem like the highly coveted wrsitbands are only going out to those who may have some matrilineal connection to the sorority. The question is can Oliver put it together before it's too late? Could be entertaining

So, Oliver's mom is/was an Omega Pi, same with Cam's mom, now how's she taking this?

Author's Response:

Seems like Oliver's mom is struggling with the obligation to give up something, her son perhaps? :-O

That's a nice turn, give him some time to figure out what's going on, and then give the girls some time to realize he's smarting up

Author's Response:

See if Oliver can piece it together before that third band. I guess it depends which head does the thinking in the end, :)
