Just some quick grammar things I saw. I think you forgot 'than' when talking about Woah's flood. Also the last sentence is missing a'him' so it would become keeping him alive.

this seems to be a great chapter as always. Really enjoyed the Persephone interactions and some background information. The thing that was weird for me was the fact that her daughter, who is human, also eats human meat. I can understand angels doing it because they aren't completely human anymore but a fellow human leaves me a bit uneasy.

From the last part of this chapter it leads me to believe that even the angels don't know how they were made except maybe the goddess herself. It also seems that Sydney's human government wasn't the ones to create the angels or they would have made some to combat that goddess. I'm sure that we'll learn the truth in due time, but having more Persephone is always a good thing.

. Macross Frontier is an anime about pilots fighting giant bugs in space with an awesome sound track. One pilot is Klan Klang who is a loli while in shrunken human form but turns into a busty giantess in her regular form. One of the best anime I've ever watched.

Author's Response:

But what if Althea, as a result of being pampered by Persephone, doesn't consider herself human? There will be more of both her and Persephone in the future chapters, that you can be sure of. I will find those mistakes and correct them.

So is she mad at Nyx or Wayne? To me seems like Nyx didn't do anything. Could it be that Persephone is angry at Nyx for not killing the guy for acting all high and mighty? If that's the case she's a lot more vindictive than I thought, but then again all Angels have bloated ego's so even if she's the "nicest", I wouldn't put it past her...She still kills/eats humans that disobey her or aren't useful to her and she still sees humans as inferior creatures just like every other Angel we've been introduced to so far in the story. Anyway this information about Angels being created by humans seems to make sense.

I don't think such powerful beings could be created naturally through processes like evolution, it just doesn't add up, such a powerful entity is overkill in the cogs of evolution. If I WERE a human and created such powerful creatures, I'd put a killswitch or failsafe incase they ever turned on humanity, I'd wager that Wayne knows something about such a failsafe. If that's the case then maybe keeping him alive is dangerous to Angels, maybe that's what Persophone is worried about...If that's the case then even getting involved with him could put Sidney at risk himself.

I wonder if Sindney would destroy all angels if there were a failsafe and he was the one deciding? Would he destroy Persophone? Like I said before, Persophone "seems" nice, because she likes Sidney and so far, we only have his perspective on the matter, but what about other people? Does she treat all her subjects decently or is it only a select few? And of course, she's not so nice to the people she eats...Anyway, great chapter!

Author's Response:

Obviously Persephone hates Eris much more than both Nyx and Wayne. If Persephone wanted, I'm sure she could forge a new life in a distant part of the galaxy/universe, away from both humans and Angels, as was mentioned in the chapter There are hundreds of billions of stars in the Milky Way alone, many of them with multiple planets orbiting them, and many of those planets will have moons of their own.

I think she's just angry at the suggestion that, in her view, simple humans, could have designed her. Keeping Keeping Wayne alive is a Faustian Bargain for the Angels who know. It can help them defeat Eris but they wouldn't want the secret to get out of course.

I have put some thought into how Eris is ultimately confronted. I think Wayne hates Eris as much Nyx or Persephone. Could it be guilt that drew him?

True Persephone eats humans. But I must correct you something. She has alluded to being lonely several times so I don't she would eat humans simply for not being 'useful' (e.g. her 'adopted' daughter, Althea, was once a baby and therefore not useful to her), unless a shortage of food forced her to perhaps. But yes, she does eat humans that succeed in sufficiently annoying her (i.e. refuse pledge their allegiance to her).
