Hmmmmm! Has Our Hapless Little Hero's captor done some precautionary brainwashing? Or are we looking at a case of multi-personality syndrome that can alter physical height as well as state of consciousness?

Any chance of he, and we, finding out what happened to that receptionist from the opening chapters?

Whew! I thought for sure she was going to literally put her foot down...

...right on top of him.

Of course, if he proves unable to follow her orders in the next chapter, he might wish she had!

Jack Nicholson's character, in A FEW GOOD MEN, was half-right. Some people really can't handle the truth. Especially, those who don't want to hear it, in the first place!

RIP, little guy. :-(

Many effort put into this story to exlore the feelings of the characters in size changing situations.
If been tricked by too many writers who make a set up of 5 chapters that is very good, only to turn the next chapters into very unrealistic stupid development where the characters turn into one dimensional morons.
That is clearly not the case here. This writer has the intention to write a good story with many subtle details. Hope the ending is good too.

Suitably plausible rendering. :-|

To all the lurkers reading this: How much you want to bet that the next chapter is entitled "The Vagina Epilogue?"

Let me guess: he grabbed her by the comparatively long hairs. X-D

Seriously, though: welcome back. And, thanks for finally updating this wonderful story!

@Carycomic. Or she shrunk. ;)

That can't be the same receptionist who was giving Our Hero such a hard time, initially. She was taller than him! But, this one is shorter than Rebecca. So, it looks like my first hunch was right: the first receptionist is dead.

A lot of arguably foolish things are done in the name of love. Some secrets are misguidedly shared out of blind faith. Only for that faith to be betrayed! While other secrets are over-protectively withheld in the vain hope that the best defense is blissful ignorance.

Only time--and the next chapter--will tell if Rebecca made the right choice in this one.

Well, it might not be a sad chapter, per se. But, it's definitely bittersweet.*

*As in 49% sweet and 51% bitter!

@Carycomic. To many variables to guess what's going on. I hope that it end's satisfying. I hope Dr Hiroshi is smart and testing a subject and not that she is a dumb psycho. I don't find psychos interesting. I hate the type of women like in Stephen King's Misery, it's boring and annoying. I wonder about the receptionist too and why that number was so important to her.
I would never work for that company. I hate being ordered around and brainwashed into being a slave. I would have quit after that treatment on day one of the interview.

Well that's nice. Makes a change from the previous sad chapters. Rebecca seems amazing.

Dr. Emily Rodes? But I think the docter he met on his break was Dr. Hoshi. Am I missing something, or is this a simple mistake?

Scary. I would have never agreed to work here. Some people just don't appreciate their employees.

The doctor isn't going to ask his name? It's curious the main character isn't given a name. That can be quite a powerful thing in a story on a website such as this one.

What a nasty employer. Don't they realize that happy employees perform better? The stress of work will really take its toll.
